- I caught up with the guys from Iron Rock Offroad in Moab at the 2018 Easter Jeep Safari vendor show. Jason was kind enough to take me on a walk around of their wicked XJ featuring their awesome BOLT-IN long arm kit. If you want a complete 4-link system without all the math and guesswork...here it is! - Tyler

I’m running the rock krawler coil conversion on my XJ, definitely not bolt on lots of fab work needed. But damn is it awesome to see more kits out there for the XJ
Iron Rock Off-road is the best thing to happen to the XJ, ZJ & WJ market. These guys came in clutch and helped me get my ZJ outfitted properly for Axialfest 2017. Unbeatable customer service, true Jeep guys & the parts are of the highest American quality. Highly recommended! They also have been extremely helpful to my Subscribers that have bought from them.
Wait. There's 1:1 rigs at axialfest?
What kit do they offer for WJ
IRO baby I love that I live like 45 min from there. They actually have the XJ and WJ right up front in their parking lot all the time!
I have been installing mine over a long period of time just got my axles 44/9” ready to throw under the heep
That was really cool I bought the rocklink 3link long arm kit hands down easiest and very durable kit beefy as well
Iron rock offroad. Badass products. Excellent customer service
Finally a video off the IRO 4 link! I've had my eye on this for a while. Now we need an install video
There will hopefully be one soon!
Thanks IRO for building the 9” truss for me lol
I should be finishing my JK's shock installation but instead I found myself hooked on your channel.
I just installed my rear 4 link from Iron Rock off road. I am still using the dana 35 (for now). i added 6.5 inch springs/bilstein shocks and 33 inch cooper discovery sst mud tires. its amazingly tall!! The customer support is awesome. Do not install this your self if you cannot weld. it's not completely bolt on as the truss, upper control arms mounts, lower control arm mounts, spring plates and rear shock mounts need to be welded on. The rest is bolt on! I took my time and measured over and over before i welded. it turned out amazingly awesome. I am now installing the front 3 link kit. You will need to get very high quality drill bits, a foot pound torque wrench and the wrest of the tools are standard stuff u can get from any hard ware store. I got cobalt high quality drill bits and made sure i kept them oiled as i drilled the 16 holes into my stiffened uni-body fame. Their measurements are spot on.
Love Iron rock offroad. Beefy AF and best customer service out there. Got my 97XJ rollin nice n tight
man those rigs are beautiful! specially that WJ, what a dime a dozen those things are built up, thank you for sharing! :P
This set up is awesome !
I’m wanting to install the iro 5.5 inch Rock-link Pro long arm kit for my XJ to run 33 M/T for overlanding and possibly tow a patriot camper trailer on the the back of my XJ
Tyler you are the man ON BJ. 👍
If it’s possible I Wilkie to know more about that steering for the jk. Thank you
Bolt on kit using a welder?
Ssshhhhhh...
Can't weld, don't have a truck project
@@eriknelson45 rude
Ok the guy who does not own the xj explained the things I was wondering after the owner of that beautiful xj was done talking. I was gonna upgrade the axle down the line so knowing I just need to buy one piece but can still use 99% of the kit. Tyty
One bad thing I have to say about this kit the cross member I had to cut out a slot for the driveline because it hit I feel this kit is built for a Jeep without the transmission being lowered other then that bad ass kit
Rock link is on the wish list.
Nice truck stuff!
Rear shock relocation .
I can see the benefits for off road, but what about for the street ? A few of us live in cites with horrible pot holes and roads. Would you say the shock ride back there is the same as stock , harsher, or better ?
Do u have video of the WJ?
I'm guessing the links are adjustable? They would need to be as the jeep gets taller. IROR makes some awesome stuff.
They are fully adjustable for pinion and castor as well as spring height from 3"-8" of lift
looking at 4 linking a mj, hopefully this can fit without major modifications
Gerrad Reynolds did it work
How are the road manners with the front 3 link and rear 4 link?
Front 3 link: ctrl+C, ctrl+V into mine.
Right on
Those rigs are hitting the trails that old people go wheeling on....
Et Phone mmhmm ok
I got all excited thinking it was going to be a nee 4 link front made with IRO dark magic lol. Should have known, still cool though. I wonder if it could work with the front long arm kit I already have....
Call em.
+BleepinJeep GOOD IDEA. I checked out the site, and figured that if I wait, it's a not a bad deal to get the whole kit(F&R). It's like $400 more than just the rear, and I really like the included 3 link front vs. my current Y link setup. On top of that my front D30 has no truss(need to buy one/weld brackets anyway). I think I will look into this kit when I swap for a Ford 8.8!
Iron Rock Offroad didn't include a rear truss kit for the factory XJ dana 44. ??
Love it I will be calling youyou
So if you get this kit all you need to lift it is springs and shocks?
Do you offer a 3 inch lift option?
Would love to have the 3 link if I could ever get the funds...
What size lift was on this xj
I ha e their m, I guess it’s old now, 4” critical path long arm kit. If I went to the 4-link would I need to swap the cross member as well as the long arms?
Zachary Smith the 4 link is for the rear. The front is still a 3 link. The new one they're referring to in this video is available as just an upgrade kit the includes the long arms and cross member for front. Don't believe yours will work, but not sure.
I want that setup for my 99 XJ how do I get one? Who do i talk to?
I got an 89 MJ with 4 link rear, coil springs all around. Currently running a long arm front (forget the brand atm). Do you make any kits that work for the MJ front?
xflstl1 the Xj kits fit up front what kit did you use to link the rear
i recently bought a 1990 jeep cherokee 4x4 but dont know what model it is it just says limited on the left upper fender can someone help
its an "XJ"
I have planned on getting their 4 link rear and 3 link front for a long time now buuuut Im broke so it's gonna be a while
Ryno B same here. My engine will probably conk out before I ever get the funds. That's my fear is spending all this money on the XJ then having engine troubles strike right after.
I'm on that same boat I have two xj's my self 99classic and 00sport
So I already have the three link up front and I’m trying to find JUST the 4-link for the rear with no luck online. Anyone got a pt# handy?
Still like the 3 link?
I have this kit. How can I contact iorn rock to ask them to apply to get on the list of jeepspeed approved kits to race in the B.I.T.D. jeepspeed class 1700?
Telular phone ?
Bolt on kit "Requires Welding"
Did you all see Matt from Winder Towing and the yellow banana??
Matt doing his Alfred Hitchcock impression....lol
"iron off rock road" lol
wow
Looks like Dana white lol
Ground Hawg 83 I was wondering when he got into off-roading.
Yeah but doing less cocaine
What about wj 4 link bolt in ?
the guyokcolorado636 Isn't the WJ already 4 link from the factory? You should just need longer control arms and lift springs.
The wj is an upper A arm and two lower links just installed the 4 link and love it
‘Bolt on’
BROTHER
I like the channel because of the fabrication shows. Don't care about bolt on's. Also would like to see a build that is not a unibody.
Don't hate on my Mopar 8.25, better than any Turdy five
A link to the past...
Arron Lewis
Thanks God at least one WJ. Look like you guys dont like WJs. Any reason why?
I love them...I just don't have one yet.
@@bleepinjeep sell you mine. Lol
I have 4 of them . 2 of them because my dad built the motors at the factory. The other 2 have been fully stripped and chemical dipped. Then all parts sandblasted and powder coated. New paint , fully restored interiors and one has a 8inch lift with 35’s and the other restored wj has 6in with 33’s.
Buy em cheap stack em deep
Time and $Money$
Dana whites brother
IM 59, and would never 4 link a unibody, been building for 42 years. Just a po
paw crawl Owens to a hopefully soon to be xj owner how come?
@@cokeyNbk I did one and hated it, just didn't feel right to me, but I am very picky, it was a daily driver, never felt right at hwy speeds
The guy looks and sounds like a young Dana White.
I know it’s been a minute since this comment, but I scrolled until I found someone who saw and heard what I did 😂 Dana has his hands on everything lol
As much as I would like to.... my unibody is fucked
2200 is more than most xj' s are worth
Dude didn't even do a walk-around of the vehicle WTF
Kit should not be advertised as bolt in .
Nothing is not on in a xj
Then it's not a bolt in🤦♂️
i think that's one of the most awkward interviews I've ever seen! lol. seemed really forced..
Garbage coilovers or go home
Thanks IRO for building the 9” truss for me lol
