“And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as forbidden; three years shall it be as forbidden unto you; it shall not be eaten. And in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy, for giving praise unto the LORD. But in the fifth year may ye eat of the fruit thereof, that it may yield unto you more richly the increase thereof: I am the LORD your God.” (Leviticus 19:23-25, JPS)
Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and the one who wins people is wise. (Avraham avinu) 13:12 Delayed hope makes the heart ill, but fulfilled longing is a tree of life. 15:4 A gentle statement is a tree of life, but perverted speech shatters the spirit.
“And unto Adam He said: 'Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying: Thou shalt not eat of it; cursed is the ground for thy sake; in toil shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life. Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken; for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.' And the man called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.” (Genesis 3:17-20, JPS)
The tree of life-etz hachayim is the living tree which Adam and Eve would have stretched out their hand against to kill him and eat of his flesh to live forever. That living tree being Moshiach who was walking in the garden in the ruach.
“And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish. And let the priests also, which come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them. And Moses said unto the LORD, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai: for thou chargedst us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it. And the LORD said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the LORD, lest he break forth upon them. So Moses went down unto the people, and spake unto them.” (Exodus 19:21-25, KJV)

Ok, now this makes more sense, but it's still a major change in thinking. I need to go back and binge watch the last one and this one end-to-end.

They ate enough fruit to know how to make babies. They did not eat enough fruit on knowing how to correctly raise those babies into good characters.
