In any other show the scene between Vanessa Bayer and Sally's agent would have been the funniest thing all episode, but that was just narrowly beaten by Fuches experiencing the SAME thing he did in Chechnya and learning absolutely nothing
I could totally see Bill Hader playing GTAV all day and then suddenly a light-blub popped up over his head and this episode's action scene was the result Also, I'm thinking that Albert is the one who saves Barry because Barry saved Albert's life in the war
surprisingly its not GTA thats the influence, its arthouse filmmaking. mostly a lot of classic silent era techniques, some italian neo realism, 50s/60s polish cinema, etc but its cool that these influences create a GTA feel, i think its fascinating!
I feel like while the season has been more dark, the comedy has also ramped up. This episode specifically, but also the entire season has been so damn funny
agreed, the meeting between sally and the BanShe lady was the only scene in the entire series so far to make me literally cry laughing, loved this episode so much
As soon as I watched this episode last night I immediately could not wait for this reaction. Best episode of Barry and Better Call Saul within a week of each other. Insanity.
A few episodes ago I said BARRY had finally risen to the rank of my favourite show of all time, little did I know that would only be MORE solidified after this episode. The final 10 minutes of this are a masterpiece of comedy, action and drama!
@@Nikhil-hl2cz The finale was one of the most uncomfortable, harrowing, miserable experiences of my life. OF COURSE I LOVED IT! Truly mind blowing episode where EVERY scene was incredibly tense and unnerving. Season 4 began shooting yesterday, thankfully we won't have to wait three more years for more of this masterpiece
1. Guessing the woman who won't let Gene make amends will somehow bring a glimmer of understanding for Barry? 🤔 2. If Severance isn't on your to-watch list, it ought to be. It's as brilliant as Barry in its own way. Right up Blind Wave's alley. Endless mystery and discussion topics.
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but on The Prestige TV Podcast Bill Hader mentions that the actor playing the main biker (the one who shoots Fuchs) was also in the “Ronny/Lily” episode. He was the grocery store employee stocking the shelves who gets beaten up by Ronny.
abt ur comments at 13:00, i actually was just listening to a podcast (the prestige tv podcast, would highly recommend to other barry fans, bill hader comes on every monday after an episode and breaks it all down) where bill hader said that they actually used the same soundbyte of vanessa bayer saying "yeah!" and played it over sally's agent. just an interesting little tidbit of information. LOVE ur guys's reactions, i look forward to them just as much as i look forward to the new episodes:)
That chase scene was insane It was the exact kind of progression you'd iexpect with continually ramping intensity, but also at the same time hilariously low energy
Also, copy and paste "Surfer Bro hilariously trolls LA City Council" into UA-cam and watch the first video. The actor who plays Mitch in this episode is the first guy who speaks in that video talking to LA council about the importance of house parties.
I feel like Bill Hader IS Mitch. “I used to be on this cushy show called SNL as an actor. I coulda rode that shit forever. But then I was like... nah.”
This was one of the best things I have ever seen. Barry was already one of my favorites. It has risen to a whole another level. 25 minutes packed to the brim with awesomeness.
The pure deadpan humor of this show is just amazing, again and again. They even did this action with all the cool cinematography and sound design completely unaffected and inpersonal and thats what makes it amazing.
I just watched the episode before clicking on this reaction and holy fuck. I've never seen 30 minutes used so effortlessly on TV before. That chase scene felt like a movie, the ending is BATSHIT CRAZY, Fuches drive to get Barry is finally paying off, this show stays in triple S tier or whatever tier is your highest
man, i wish hbo put out more ads for barry. this show is amazing. when euphoria was airing, i coudlve sworn hbo advertised that shit on every social media platform ive been on.
So funny seeing one of the dudes from 'Chad and JT Go Deep' on this episode as Mitch lmao, was not expecting that. They're that viral duo that went to town hall meetings asking for more ragers
Every single season of this show has managed to drop at least 1 episode that's contender for the craziest episode in television history. Every single season has at least 1 of them. Every single one. Insane consistency.
In the opening scene, I also thought when the dirtbike guys go away Fuches will scream or something, but nope haha. Fuches is beyond redemption now I guess. btw, if you like Barry, please try reacting to Fargo series
I genuinely cannot tell how these next two episodes are going to play out, that to me tells you that this show has incredible writing! Barry really is Bill Hader's 'Breaking Bad'.
I read somewhere that Bill is gonna direct the entirety of Season 4. Meaning there's a chance that he's not gonna have to do a lot and has more time to direct. Meaning that Barry maybe is actually gonna die? Bill also said that there have been many times that he didn't know what to do with Barry's character. He also said that this was the last episode where we see Barry being more "fun", the show is gonna be much more darker now. What I'm trying to say is that, if Barry dies, I'm counting on Bill Hader to pay for my therapy.
Well the problem with killing Barry off is that the show is literally named after the character, so if they kill him and replace the character with someone else, they’d have to change the entire name of the show. It’s not out of the realm of possibility but I doubt it. I feel like Hader is gonna direct and act in all of the episodes, which is a lot more work, but there’s probably a reason.
This show is one of my favorites. Genuinely both extremely funny and bleak. But the way it just slips further and further into an absurdist reality might be my favorite part. Those dream sequences were just to get us used to the signs of whats real and what isn't, all for it to get harder and harder to tell to the point where we as the viewers don't even know for sure sometimes. Incredible stuff.
I’m so excited and anxious to see what comes next especially since bill hader said this is the last “fun time w Barry” episode we will get and that it’ll get much darker
IDK who the guy on the far left is lol, IDK your names haha. But I just wanted to say that is the best haircut(fade) I've seen so far. It's a low, bald (or1), drop fade to be specific, and it's a very good one. I'm a barber. it's the only reason I say anything haha.
the little slices of absurdity thrtoughout the show are just great this episode with the car sale place and the ronny and lilly in the grocery store mayhem in the most unexpected places
This is the best episode of the series so far. Almost every scene was great (only scenes that weren't anything special were Cousineau scenes). But the rest were nothing but pure entertainment and amazing directing. The Pitch meeting scene really tripped me out cos of the same sound.
It's such a great episode with so much comedy and action going on. I would love to see the President's motor cavalcade pull up outside the Bagel (?) shop and see Mitch discussing the Middle East or something important with the President with the same half-stoned expression and vague or extremely simplified answers.
That’s fucking hippie dude… killed me all episode guys so fucking chill And gives great advice to get them lined out down the street I died laughing when that girl came in He was ready to hear the story
My guess for the next episode: Sharon's son walks in and finds the poisoned Barry, and calls an ambulance. Sharon can't keep him from doing it without revealing that she's the one who poisoned him.
They're not making the same sound!! They just cut out the soundbite of the noises, and then edited them in for the other character throughout that scene lol So Vanessa Bayer makes a "yerh!" Sound, they cut and paste that into the dialogue for Lindsay, Sally's agent lol

bill hader directed the hell out of this episode. that entire chase sequence.
Absolutely. Plus at 18:44 “woahh the sound design” were my thoughts exactly as I was watching that sequence
And the whole Bignets shop arc is out of this world
Hader is insanely talented
@@automaticcreation2271 Mitch is a weird, random sage and I love it. A surfer dude beignet-making sage. Best new character.
Barry is without a doubt, one of the funniest, batshit craziest, weirdest, darkest, most random shows I have ever seen.
And I love It!!!!!
Great description of this show, and I feel the same, love it! It's on another level and I just want to watch more. Season 4 is confirmed, so happy!
It's so unique isn't it? Bill Hader outdid himself with this show!
he needs an award for this episode.
If you want another batshit crazy dark comedy-drama(less comedy than Barry though but with more gore) try Preacher
man ya'll need to watch Atlanta. It's batshit every fricken episode.
By becoming a mastermind and insisting on sending multiple assassins after one guy, Fuches is living up to his legend as The Raven.
lmao mastermind? he's a bitter loser who can't handle barry being independent from him
if you've kept up, fuches has reached his final raven form.

This is right up there with Ronny/Lily for best episode of the series. Absolutely amazing.
This cliff hanger was fucking brutal and that chase scene was amazing
Despite how dark and depressing season 3 has been, this is in my opinion the funniest episode of the entire show.
I feel like while the season has been more dark, the comedy has also ramped up. This episode specifically, but also the entire season has been so damn funny

The two best shows this year, for sure.

The action in this show is always shot so creatively. I love the way it leans into realistic consequences, and realistic sound design.
One of the funniest, wildest and most memorable episodes of TV I've seen in a while. Bill Hader is very talented.
the FWOOOP FWWWOOOP FWOOOP sound effects while barry on his motorcycle goes barreling between cars was magnificent
So hilarious how the guy at the car dealership runs insude yelling: Oh no, not today.

The whole bike chase sequence was wild, it was more like a gta v mission, even the way it was shot.
Fuches' "Dances with Wolves" storyline was so well done. He's just sooo stupid, I love it. He had happiness and he can't see it. Amazing!
I love the foreshadowing of Barry's bad time with the pastry guy!
In all three Mitch scenes, is they would just have listened to his advice, he would have solved their problem. But no one did.

All the people Fuches went to trying to get them to kill Barry. He didn't go to the one person he's actually scared of - Lily.
