The 1999 cup should have been ours. Dallas cheated and won the game by the Refs.

@@Huntsniper1 Cheated? I think the refs just were too chicken to make the proper call.

I drove 5 hours to Buffalo from Detroit to celebrate this night. On top of that came down with the flu bug and still have it. However, I don't regret one thing out of this because I got to witness a man who made such an impact on my life. I'm so glad I got to be there and witness this legend become what is rightfully deserved. RJ thank you sir for all that you have done. You are the true representation of what it means to be a human being, a Buffalonian, and a father/husband. Thank you and God bless you!

This brought tears to my eyes... I grew up listening to Rick on wgr when he was just the radio play by play guy. Too bad he never got to call a Stanley Cup win...

When RJ was calling the games on radio only, I would turn the sound down on the TV, and up on the radio...every game then became a joy to watch, win or lose. Will miss his call, but never forget it!!

I have been listening to Rick since 1971 on and off. His play by play makes a game so much more entertaining and exciting. Truly one of the all time great play by play broadcasters. He will be missed.

A legend no matter what team you cheer for! I so wanted to hug him after the wonderful speech. The emotions were real. I may be a Sens fan but have thoroughly enjoyed watching these videos commending RJ. I am a silly millennial but respect the history!

This game was number 1 this year, as close to a playoff game as we could get, the Eichel return game was second. Im lucky enough to have been to both this year. My son is 7 and this was a really special night that we will both remember forever
