Ingredients:
Cake:
2 cups of All Purpose Flour
1Tsp of Baking Soda
2 Sticks of Butter
2 Cups of Sugar
1Tsp of Vanilla Extract
4 Egg Yokes(Save Egg Whites to go in after mixing the batter)
4oz of Bakers German Chocolate cut up with 1/4 to 1/2 cup of Hot Coffee
1 Cup of Buttermilk
Coconut Pecan Frosting:
1 1/2 Sticks of Butter
1 1/2 Cups of Sugar
1 12oz Can of Evaporated Milk
4 Eggs Yokes
7oz of Sweetened Coconut Flakes
1 1/2 Cups of Toasted Pecans
1 Tsp of Vanilla Extract

Just fyi, the reason it's called that is because it was invented by a guy called Sam German and I think he was from Pennsylvania. I looked it up cuz I always wondered why they didn't have it in Germany I lived there as a child and go back to stay with family every few years
I love how you keep things CLEAN. Always wiping things down. My Mother in law always made this cake for all major holidays for me & my sister in law. I reallly miss her.

Now I am supposed to drop 20lbs per my doctor and there you go making a delicious tempting German Chocolate Cake. 🤣🤣🤣😂😋😋I am going bake this cake and take out 2 slices for me and give the rest to my husband to take to his coworkers. He do not eat sweets. Stopped 5-6 yrs ago. He is a Fruit and Nuts eater..

Looks good. I do different I put the coconut pecan filling in between layers and frost out side of cake with chocolate frosting , it’s so good and I decorate it up.
This is my favorite cake. I could eat the whole cake by myself. You are right, the icing is the best part.
