❤Your son is so cute! Ugh I dislike having to shop in the rain 🌧 and you were super busy. 😮 But I'd do it too to get the deals. 😅 Crazy that Walmart didn't change the number on their sign. 🤔 Great haul! 👍
The rain really does make shopping a lot more challenging. 🙄 But the shopping is done for another week! I am super thankful for the sunshine returning! It's been a wet month for us, and I am ready for the May flowers that all these April showers should bring! 🌞
Bless your heart! There is nothing quite like loading groceries in the pouring rain! You find the best deals. I know I've said that before, but it is so true!!
Hyvee had a 99cent 3-day sale this week so I got two 5lb bags of potatoes, 12 pack ice cream sandwiches-i got 6, large baked beans-i got 8, 4 bags tortilla chips, 4 apple juices, 8oz chunk cheese limit 4 I went all 3 days and got 12. Then they had can chil pinto beans marked 25cents that were dayed 2026, so I got a flat of 12 of them. Can't beat that price! 😊
I’m so pleased with my trip to Fry’s (Kroger) here in Tucson. I saved 35% off my entire grocery order by using digital coupons, “deals of the week” and managers’ specials (especially in the meat department). It was a great shopping day.
There is an Ibotta rebate on goldfish for $2 back on 3 which makes them 0.82 a piece if you wanted to stock up on a few more. Great deals this week on nature valley and general Mills bars as well if you're family eats those items. ❤️ Great video.
Great story 😂 I think many of us moms have been there! I got some Kellogg's cereal buy 2 get 3 free. Our milk was $1.19 half gallon and I also stocked up on Dole Fruit cups 😊
Yes! That cereal is a great deal! Nathan hasn't touched any of the cinnamon crunch from the last sale yet, so I resisted. But the temptation was strong because it is such a good deal! 😂 Yay for cheap milk prices too!
We have a small chain of employee-owned grocery stores in our area (NW suburban Chicago). They have outstanding 50% markdowns on meat the day before or the day the meat is marked to sell by. Today I found packages of Angus ground beef marked at $1.99 per pound, so I stocked up on those. I was down to my last package of ground beef. I also splurged on 1 package of grass-fed ground beef marked down to $4.99 a pound. It's usually $9.99 a pound, which I would never pay, so I’m eager to taste that. Two pound boxes of Swiss Bubba Burgers were marked down to $6.99 each, so I also bought those. I’m still on the lookout for boneless pork chops because I’m totally out of those-and have been for a while. I find that stocking up on the marked down meat and freezing it right away allows for some wiggle room in the rest of my grocery budget. It also makes me happy when I pull meat out of the freezer and the big red markdown sticker reminds me how much I saved. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
WOW! Those are amazing prices! So glad you stocked up! And yes! Nothing like freezing it to get the thrill of a good deal twice - when you see the sticker again when you thaw it! I totally get it! 🥰
I had just seen the Same price before I watched this video. I was totally shocked at the $14. I'll definitely renew early. Also earlier today I was accessing the holes in my pantry. I'll do another Walmart delivery the end of the month for my staples. Great video and story 😁
Good luck filling in the gaps! I love doing that at the end of the month. Let me know if it allows you to renew for $14. I think that deal might be new members only? But if not, I'm renewing super early too! 😁
Congratulations on the new car and loved the rain adventure story. Glad you got all the groceries. I was waiting for you to say the power went out and you couldn’t check out. Caleb did a great job telling the story. Amazing deal on the sour cream. I haven’t gotten any groceries this week because I have been recovering from some medical things but already halfway through the months budget so I thought that might be a good break.
We’re wet too! Caleb is such a great helper! I think I’m skipping shopping/Kroger this week. I did a big stock up last week: Sanderson Farns chicken breast fillets were buy one get one free, and I found a spiral bone-in ham at Aldi on clearance for $.99/lb. So we’re eating from the freezer this week!
Week two of our best deal at HEB bone in chicken breast 97 a pound no limit. Aldi had their bagged dried soups for 99 cents and Easter hams on clearance for 79 or 99 cents a month depending on bone in or boneless. They also had turkeys on clearance but our store was out. All meats great stock ups for the freezer. Eggs came down a little 3.84 for 18 large. We are in west texas so prices might vary.
He told that story just perfectly!! I’m a wait in the store gal…while you still look cute after being drenched, I have bangs and my hair looks like a drowned rat when wet 😂 Those are once again great deals!! Hy-Vee has some okay deals the next two weeks, and I actually don’t need much more than fruit this week, so I’m happy with that!! I utilize Sam’s so much more now than when my kids were home…Aldi beat their prices, but that isn’t true anymore. My kids and grandkids live close, so I still feed them often, and I love your videos!!
Caleb is quite the story teller! 🥰 Glad you are simply able to restock on fruit as needed. What a blessing to have a full pantry and give you that flexibility...especially as you feed kids and grandkids!
I almost said something about the flour and then remembered you did say you don't like the big bags as much. Lol I love them! I just store them in my food grade buckets. I go through a lot of flour, tho. We love homemade pizza! It's what we have every Friday night here. It's been a rough week. So we did take out. But homemade is always better. I have a simple pizza crust too. So it makes it easy. Thanks for the story! Sorry you had a rough few hours. ❤
I should just bring a bucket up to my kitchen pantry and maybe then the big bags wouldn't be such a big deal! I made homemade pizza this week, and my kids weren't as thrilled as when we work the pizza take out deals. 🤣 So we are the opposite of you there! Sorry you had a rough week. Here's hoping the weekend is everything you need it to be, to regroup for the week ahead! 🥰
@joyfullythriving bummer on the pizza. :( lol my son loves it! He even started making his own. I make the crust, and he does his own toppings. I definitely think the crust has a lot to do with it. My son likes a thicker crust, and my husband likes a thinner crust. Lol Yes! Here is hoping for a great weekend. I hope you have a blessed weekend as well. :)
You had a very exciting day today ☺️ your son looks so much like his mom and mom looks nice with her curls 😊 great haul and lots of laughs im sure while y'all were dancing in the rain making great memories together 💖
I was excited by the blackberries, since it wasn't in the flyer but I just stumbled upon it. And thanks. I wasn't smiling the whole time I was waiting at Walmart, but regrouped because it is a story you can't make up! 😁
The half gallons are 1.19 here. They used to run on sale for .99 but I’m wondering if 1.19 will be the new sale price from now on. The sale I’m most excited about here is chicken breasts for 1.77/lb again!
Ohhh! Great chicken price! We were just at b1g1. It is interesting how prices do vary by region - even though it is the same chain! And yes, I haven't seen dairy at $0.99 in awhile. I think you are right. It's the new sale price!
Hey buddy do you have a Harris teeter nearby they have on there evic cardholders two liters Pepsi only .97 cents dozen eggs also.97cents Smithfield bacon 16oz 3.47 chicken broth store brand .97 also hopefully will help out on stock up think it's limited of four each
🥤 My Panera deal of $3.33 a month ends May 7th and I'm going to cancel unless they offer another deal cause I'm not paying $15.99 😮 too high. If I wait I know they'll email another deal even if I have to wait a few weeks. 😅 Our milk at Hyvee or Walmart is about $2.58 a gallon. 🥛
That's where I am on Panera. My expires this Thursday. If I don't get a deal in a week or so, I might sign up for the month of May since I typically stop 2 or 3 times every day on my way to and from school. But after that, it is back to waiting for a deal!
What a sweet story about the rain. April showers makes may flowers. I’m currently in a tshirt with grey clouds. I think I will be ok.
With all the rain we have had, I am expecting lots and lots of May flowers! 🌹 🌸 🏵 🌼
Caleb is so sweet, enjoyed the rain 🌧️ story he told.
Thank you! He is a good little story teller! 🥰
I plan to check for the sour cream tomorrow. I still have 2, but store it upside down & it keeps a long time.
Thanks for that tip! I have heard that before but always forget to do that! 😁 I am going to give it a try with this one!
Lol Caleb tells it so good 💯 Bless his heart I enjoyed watching God Bless You ❤️😊
I ❤ how he pronounced Kroger😊
He is a good little story teller! 🥰

Real life happens and you’re still under budget😀
Great job Kristen and Caleb!
Thank you! Real life indeed. 😁 But yes! Happy to still be under budget!

Thank you! He is my little storyteller! 🥰

Rainy grocery days are so inconvenient! Glad to see you can still laugh it off! Lol
Thanks! I do try. But I am thankful that we have sunny skies again today! 🌞 It does making shopping SO much easier!

It was a huge storm! What great meat prices you found this week! Well done! 🙌👏🙌
Just checking to make sure you know about the lead in the cinnamon applesauce pouches. Don't know about the brand- but you might want to double check.
I hadn't heard about that! Turns out it was the Schnucks and Weis brand so I am good. Thanks for that heads up though!
I’m happy to see your subscriber numbers are growing.
Awww. Thanks! It is exciting to be building a community over here! 🥰
Here in NW Washington state, our Kroger milk was the same as you, $1.29 for a half gallon.
Nice! So glad you got that great dairy deal too 🙌

🥤 My Panera deal of $3.33 a month ends May 7th and I'm going to cancel unless they offer another deal cause I'm not paying $15.99 😮 too high. If I wait I know they'll email another deal even if I have to wait a few weeks. 😅

@@joyfullythriving yep I'm all about the deals too. Lol 😅 hope we get one.
Caleb was such a little man throughout all that. Don't forget to head back to Kroger for sour cream but most importantly watch the sky, 😂
He was a trooper...and yes, definitely a dramatic storyteller! 😂 I will definitely be heading back for sour cream - on a clear skies day! 🌞
❤❤
🥰🥰🥰
That's quite the ordeal that you had.
I thought everyone would appreciate it! 😂
