Surely changing features by exception is a lot more effective? I.e. if your vehicle is going to get a new centre console before you receive it, just don't install it from the start? Lovely vehicles either way.

Why can't these options be fitted on the normal assembly line? Seems like a waste of labour to assemble then disassemble a car at the same factory campus to add option parts.

Rolls Royce make part's in germany and import to UK and assemble here

You should make a bespoke electrical system.
Recommend turning off the Keyless entry system, a thief uses a device to amplify the signal of the key fob in your house and mimic it so the car thinks they are using the original key fob. I just brought an Evoque so will be turning keyless entry off.

Know what ? Making it reliable will make people use it roughly, and these things cant stand the "practical" abuse. If it breaks down, it will earn for the company.
I wonder how much longer the average buyer of a personalized Range Rover keeps it, before trading it in to buy a newer one, compared to the average Range Rover buyer.
"What I would have paid to the Taxman, with it, I buy a luxury car. I claim depreciation for 3 years, sell it and buy a new one". That's how the rich think. The car company charges accordingly bcoz the owner gets it reimbursed from the taxable amount. Such cars are not for daily wagers like us. We can't afford to fix a puncture on it. LMFAO.

Beautiful machine but really inconvenient in a city. No parking spaces available most of the time.
No doubt they are jus superb,but range rover has to look into suspension issue over a period of time,this is the only long standing complaint we customers have

How do you expect to drive through rivers on normal tyres? and 0 to 60 in 5.5 seconds is nothing to boast about. Otherwise a very nice vehicle

Still love the Range Rover but they could have put a decent Alarm System in. My 2 RR's were stolen on my front lawn, even with the second one with an upgraded alarm system. Apparently one was found in Tsjadiskistan and one in Nigeria. A Range Rover that cannot be stolen, now that would be a bespoke feature.

Every car can be nicked.... and any alarm system can be hacked to disable it.
Dusseldorf / Germany The first one was stolen with 7 other RR on one weekend. The second one they managed to steal mine + the tuned RR Sports that were tuned for a James Bond movie.
True but it looks that it is far too easy with RR and therefore I would recommend to spent a bit more energy, time and effort in that area. I don't need 22 airbags, EPS, ABS, etc... the car should be there in the first place and with today's tracking systems they know where they are. Worked my butt off for 30 years to be able to buy one and although insurance paid up it's a big nuisance in getting everything sorted out.
I'll be honest, as someone who knows people in insurance in the UK. It's not just a problem with RRs. It's an industry wide problem. Fords, vauxhalls(opels), audis, mercedes, VWs and BMWs are by a country mile the most stolen cars here. It's ridiculous that my VW polo run around from 2007 is harder to steal than any of our last LR cars....
Listen carefully and you can hear them breaking down....

JLR reliability and quality are horrendous.
