I'm pretty sure you can't park here, soldier. Better put that shovel I see on the back of your truck to good use 🤣
Nice rig. Refreshing to see something different than a Jeep. Seen a few of these in real life a few weeks ago, at the exhibition about Aarschot during WW2.

My special needs son loves classic army vehicles like those he thinks they would come in handy in Jurassic Park.

Nice 51. That truck was sitting on its frame the tires were doing nothing anymore! That little jeep doesnt have much of a chance at all of moving the 51. Was the water deep enough to go over the breathers on the differentials? Looked like it could have been. The transfer case and transmission breathers looked ok. One of the reasons I dont drive my Military trucks in deep water/mud is I already buy engine oil by the drum for them and dont need to start buying 80/90 to keep draining and refilling diffs etc.

Thanks, We had drain all the oil off the differentials, transfer case and transmission. And there was no water inside.

@@THEWHITEHISTORYSTAR I collect both US and German military trucks and I see them subjected to all sorts of abuses and in at least half the cases the owners think because its a military vehicls it never needs any maintenance EVER! You have a beautiful 51 there and I am very happy to see you are versed in what needs to be done to keep our trucks in the shape we want! Its a weird thought but we are only temporary caretakers of our trucks!

The dodge driver is in the same gear, what sounds like 1st low, all the time. This kind of terrain needs a different gear if only to relieve the constant engine overrevving. The way to attempt to unstuck a bogged vehicle is to JOLT it. The jeep driver aimlessly spins his tires and burns his clutch. Nice vehicles but drivers need education!

The dodge was stuck on his axle so you can jolt it so much if you want, it will be stay stuck on his axle. The only solution was digging the axels out or pulling the dodge out.

@@THEWHITEHISTORYSTAR A badly stuck vehicle needs winching for recovery. However if there is a chance to be towed out by another vehicle this must be done by initial jolting attempts.

We have pulling the dodge out without jolting. if you're stuck and someone can pull it out without jolting is always better. If you jolting too hard, you have a chance that you will break the chain or break somthing on the one that is stuck. Next time we drive there we will prepare, if we get stuck that we can pull it out. And if you're not stuck hard, jolting will help.
