- Volkswagen has found a lot of success in the Indian market with the Vento. Recently the Vento out sold the Ciaz in the domestic and export market combined which is massive achievement for the brand. With the new facelift, VW has introduced the Vento 1.2 TSI GT Line, which is basically a Polo GT with a boot and has Polo GTI bumpers. Watch the video to find out more!

I like the look of the older vento cuz it looks original.The new one is a vento with a GTi grill and now both the polo and the vento look the same. Vento should have an identity of its own which was offered in the pre facelift.
This is my personal view.

Good review, but a couple of corrections:
4:08 - When you're in 3rd, DSG will preselect EITHER 2nd or 4th gear (not both) based on your driving. If you're speeding-up, it will pre-select 4th and shift up when you hit the right rev for the mode selected; but, if you're slowing down, it will pre-select 2nd gear and shift down when you slow down enough for 2nd gear to take over. If you're suddenly pushing the pedal to the floor when in 3rd, it hesitates because DSG has the unused clutch plate locked to 4th gear, but it now has to lock it to 2nd gear and then engage.
4:28 - It was 1.6 MPI, not 1.6 TSI. I don't think VW produced 1.6 TSI for any market.
Nicely done. I suggest you to invest in a mike. And the old Vento 1.6 isn't a TSI by the way.

Yeah The old Vento 1.6 was a MPI engine if i am correct!
Still there is no doubt anything could come close to the DSG unit!

I personally think there was nothing to not like about the pre facelift model of the vento. It did look great.
The vento has always been a Handsome car, no doubt!
Dsg mated with TSI or TDI is the best one VW can offer. Anyhow even the previous vento tsi has also been the gem.. Love the machine

Good effort. I have a 2019 Feb Vento TSI HL+ so couple of observations:
1) The head unit is the same.
2) The older car in the video is not a TSI, its a 1.6L manual Vento.
3) Plastic quality is same since the last 10 years.

However, do make sure that the vehicle is always serviced at VW service centers only.
DSG is reliable for me at least. It is said that cars manufactured after 2015 should have reliable DSG gearbox.
My yearly maintenance cost is around 8k-12k. I am very happy and content with the vehicle after driving it for 60k kms in 5 yrs.
I put gear lever in N (neutral) if I need to stop in traffic for more than 30 secs.

Bro 1.6 isn’t TSI. It’s a naturally aspirated engine
There are just 3 things which I hate about the Vento
1. It is a decade old design
2. It looks like a Polo with an extended boot (the same with Ameo)
3. Questionable After sales service (Pervasive with all VW Cars)
The plastics and the audio system are identical no change there in this so called new vento , and the 1.6 is not a tsi , it’s a mpi engine

In which aspect you are saying Honda city is best😆 I took a test drive of it and felt like it’s just plastic n u just wasting your time commenting..
Vento TSI is 100kgs heavier than most Honda City Petrol car variants, that’s why it is slightly slower in outright acceleration, but that’s where the comparison ends. Vento TSI has low end high torque of 175 which comes as early as 1500 rpm which City comes no where even close. In in-gear acceleration TSI simply leaves City behind. And there is no comparison when it comes to build quality, handling, dynamics etc. City feels wobbly and non confident spiring at even 120kmph while TSI is stable as rock even at 170. And things get worst if you talk about City automatic, the CVT is a joke and the rubber band effect so prominent that any enthusiast will stay away from it. A City with even 30K on the odo will have all kinds of shaking and rattling panels while a Vento with 100K on the odo will be as solid as the day purchased.
Really?Honda City doesn't even come close to Vento by any means.
