Thanks! It took a lot of thinking and a long time to do, but we're really happy that we learned how to do it, so that way we don't have to spend money on getting hauled out for repairs.
Any time I find myself daydreaming about picking up a sailboat I just swing on by the channel, fixes me right up. 😂 Jokes aside not a bad bit of work getting it off the trailer given your stand situation. The nice thing about fixing fiberglass is that when you screw up you can cut it out and you just get a bigger space to practice on.
Yeah boys, my *unsolicited advice, bury it up where the water would be, build a nice wood deck around it that looks like a boat dock...and call it your man cave!
I have finished by PT and feel better than when I was 20! We hope that replacing the winch will keep the cable tight and in the appropriate place. Fingers crossed!
I bet you only have to service those winches. A little lube goes a long way ;-) But if they're too far gone, Northern Tool has 1400# stainless steel marine winches for $250
Thanks for the heads up on the deal! We haven't even thought about the winches yet, because we're still trying to fix it enough to splash... The adventure continues!

Are you jacking up where the bulkheads are or no??!!
Yeah! The sides have "sling" spots that line up with the internal bulkheads. Hopefully the boat is ok!

@WayneTheBoatGuy Bahahahahaha we're sore too!
Let the trailer tyres down give more clearance
That's a great idea! We will use this too, going forward!
