all wood used on a boat must be tanalised. you would have been better off using PVC facia boards and an aluminium framework, this boat will disintegrate really quickly, next time you will use different materials, I only watched a few minutes of the video but drugs might be an issue in the logic and planning department,

Random thought....get a really good fishfinder/sonar with multiple sonar features(sidescan/downscan/live view etc) so you can scan bottom and beside boat for interesting stuff to try to possibly get with magnet. Should get lots of views of branches and bikes etc.

A cheap investment (from someone who was born on the UK canals and lived most of their life on them) would be two 12ft long 2inch diameter barge poles. You don't realise how helpful a long sturdy piece of wood is til you have it. Grounded? Pole. Need guiding? Pole. Steering/propulsion broke? Pole.

You should put a second motor on and spread them apart as far as possible on transom. Then you can steer using motors only and make turns within the width of your boat. Basically steer like a zero turn motor. I know motors aren’t cheap, but would make much more maneuverable. Plus you have backup.
