thats sad. if you "need" something just drink water. its been proven that people mistake thirst for hungry. the way to know for sure is to drink water instead when you have what you think are hungry pangs. if they go away then you know. also if you ate at 5 you shouldnt be hungry by 8. unless you are working at night go to bed at 9. and there are foods like almonds that also curb your appettite so you can go to sleep easy and wake up with a truly empty stomach

I get where Adrienne is coming from. Us hispanics have dinner from 7-9. When i moved to the US I was so confused as to why they have dinner at 5-6. 5 to 6 is where i snack between lunch and dinner. If i had dinner so early i'd be hella hungry by 10pm and late snacking is not good. Breakfast is anytime before 10am, Lunch is from 12 to 3 and Dinner is from 8 to 10. It all depends on where you're from and when the sun sets. In Europe people have dinner at 11 because the sun takes forever to set.
Well if your in bed and asleep by 10pm I could see dinner at 6 making sense. Jeannie said she's in bed by 10pm so if your morning person who goes to bed early and wakes up early it's not that wierd. However, if your normal bedtime is midnight then 8pm dinner makes more sense.

It just so happens people tend to over eat at dinner thereby going over their overall calorie intake for the day and not expending enough energy that's what makes people gain weight. Eating dinner after 7pm is not cause enough to make you gain weight. There are definitely other factors at play.
This is totally a cultural thing...here in Spain 17.00 is time to "merendar" and even 21.00 can seem early to have dinner (I usually dine arojnd 22.00-22.30)

Sometimes I may have a light snack incase I get the munchies again like some fruit or cereal but I try not to eat a full meal after 8 pm if I can help it because it does put the pounds on u and ur more prone to nightmares.

I honestly don't know if it's a culture thing (since Tam, Jeannie and Loni all like eating early as opposed to Adrienne), but I live in Europe where many restaurants open from 7/8pm onwards for dinner. You do have those all-day dining places but it's mostly considered dinner from 7pm onwards.
When my parents were married my dad would usually have dinner ready to go by like 6 and would put some aside cause sometimes my mom would work late shifts
