Celebrating month-by-month anniversaries is more of a high school thing. As an adult, anniversaries are celebrated yearly for dating, and of course, wedding anniversaries. For me, one year of dating my boyfriend (now husband) we went out to dinner in nearby big city Philadelphia and exchanged hand-made gifts. The following year, we went out to dinner and exchanged heartfelt letters. We always discuss and agree upon our plans ahead of time (though there is room for some surprise), so no one forgets. That's my experience.
In America I think it's most common for couples married or not to celebrate every year they've been together and such. At least that's what I've always seen people do.
I am always amazed people remember anniversary and dates in general. If i dont write it down i won't remember. I try and pretend until i can figure it out with Hints 😂😂😂
When I went to Disney Sea, I saw couples but also many groups of 4-5 friends (mostly girls) wearing matching clothes and accessories, it was very cute 😊 It was definitely a different vibe from Disney World!
My guy is so lucky. I've never been into to this celebrating 1 month - 1 year together stuff. If we want to have a special day, we just do it at random really. The only thing we really celebrate are our birthdays ^_^
for me the anniversaries are kinda anticlimatic because couples seem to lose the passion in the relationship and take things for granted. i think, in everyday things you can show how you care, like I’m not asking for something extravagant, but once in a while taking some time off together and fe say, going to a coffee shop and sharing a smoothie together or watching a movie and cuddling, taking a stroll in the park... just spending time together is meaningful enough. nowadays people seem to never really invest themselves on the relationship as much as before and take things for granted and in the anniversaries buy superficial stuff or just go out for a bit then... even if you don’t really have that much time, small things also count. then again, I guess depends for everyone and their personality.
Bam Bam slap slap slap 🤣🤣🤣 no girls drop hints hahaha!! Awww it's a shame after 1 year the anniversaries seem to stop. I loved surprising my partner when I was dating even after 8 years. But I am alone now. In the US both partners participate in the anniversaries usually. I would never miss the one year anniversary. I'll even remember the first time I watched your channel. I watched all of your videos while in the hospital. And Ask Japanese too! I felt not so alone and not so scared anymore!
I probably couldn't get mad if my partner forget an anniversary because I could be the one to forget it lol but I could get really mad if someone forget my birthday, tho it could be really hard since I start to make plans from 1 to 2 month before because I get excited so I could be like that with aniversarys too so I don't think my partner could really forget anything lol
Me and my partner have been together for almost 2 years we celebrate every monthsary it seemed excessive but we will go out to dine or something similar and we buy each other gifts sometimes... it works out for us 🤷🏻♀️ we are not japanese though. He works full time and I study and work at the same time, schedule is tight but we make it work 😀
Me and my gf do 1 year anniversary I don't think I would be able to handle every month anniversary plus wouldn't it be better to hinted what your gf would want in conversation instead of on Twitter or Instagram?

I don't celebrate anniversaries with my girlfriend because she doesn't exist.

Thanks for the long video. I hope the rest are this long. :}
We celebrated each others birthdays instead of anniversaries, which we did after the first year. After we get married, we may celebrate yearly.

Seems like a lot of pressure. I think unless you are married anniversaries are unnecessary.🤗
I think mothsaries is a norm for us Asians.
Guy who spent $1000 on his date must be loaded wearing Vetements and Balenciaga
Much nicer than Korea.
It sometimes seems there a couple anniversaries per month for couples there.
