Oh wow, you found Miroir Des Envies - that is amazing!!!💜💜💜I have Miroir Des Majestes and it's fabulous and I've always been so curious about Des Envies!!! I love blind buying too - it is way too fun!!! Great video, Ruby!!!❤❤❤
I love blind buying too 😅 Sifting through a basket of 'maybes' in the wishlist, the hours of research that go into making a choice, anxious excitement in receiving it and then tentatively testing it to see if it is a successful buy. You've got me so interested in Gres' Cabochard (watched your haul video). I usually stick to green or floral chypres but Cabochard is affordable enough to try out my first leather chypre.
Yes yes, goodness, the research, the deliberation, the rush of nervous anticipation, it really is the most scrumptious time-suck I know of! Please report back if you give Cabochard a try!
@@rubyzion72 Hi Ruby, I did give Cabochard a chance and although it was not love at first spray, I'm undoubtedly well on my way there. At first it smelt esoteric. It was as though I was too juvenile a chypre lover to understand why people on Fragrantica were raving about it. I've played with it a whole lot since that first spray and it still is almost inscrutable to my nose when worn alone, but I find it simply stunning in combination with floral, oriental or woody scent category perfumes. I've been testing it almost everyday since I got it, haha.
Ah, so glad to hear you’re having fun with it! Esoteric is a great descriptor. I’ve yet to play with layering combos, but I can certainly imagine the level of depth and intrigue it adds. If you find any combos you’re in love with, let me know!
My biggest wins were Elle l'aime à la folie, Narciso Poudrée, Balenciaga paris, Mugler Alien Mirage. Biggest fails were Ckin2u her, Narciso Rodriguez for her EDP.
Nice finds!! I love Poudrée too. I wound up decluttering Alien Mirage but now I'm regretting it...it's so interesting. Find myself oddly craving that scent, and I thought the bottle was gorgeous! 💖
@@rubyzion72 yes it's pretty! I totally get you not enjoying Stash. I honestly don't love, love, love it. It's a curiosity and something I only reach for in certain moods. 🙃
I absolutely LOVE Baiser Vole, and like you, I feel I'm not a floral fragrance lover- I typically like sweet gourmands and deeper smells like Euphoria, etc. HOWEVER, Baiser Vole is just BEAUTIFUL! It smells like a perfectly feminine woman who is kind, loving, classy yet down-to-earth. I see her walking in the breeze on a clear Spring day... she's wearing a Tiffany-blue dress with pristine white kitty heels ..her long locks gently flowing in the wind- Lol. Imagine a man sees that and catches a whiff of her smell....he gonna WIFE her right away!😂👍 Basically, I imagine a woman such as Princess Diana!
Perfectly described, Baiser Vole can for sure make a wife out of ANYONE 😂💍 It's just got that special sumn' sumn', hasn't it? ✨😎👍 Never thought I'd fall for a lily of the valley scent, but here we are! 🙃
I am an avid Iris lover, so I was debating for a while betweenTiffany Intense and Prada Infusion D'Iris...Tiffany was the winner and I love her...she is so Chic and classy. PDM Athalia and Xerjoff Irisss are on my wish list.
Oh, I’m sorry I missed this comment! I will add it to my ever-growing list. I’ve been somewhat obsessed with Iris Shot, have you tried that one/what’s your take?
@@rubyzion72 Yes, I tested itas ablind sample, but I didn't recognise iris in it, so I kinda dismissed it, will have to dig out my sample and revisit. I recorded a whole video abou my favourtire irises, because I went throu a serious iris obsession last year.
I have been blind buying some middle eastern fragrances lately. Mostly from Lataffa, because they are pretty affordable. Notes and reviews can be deceptive on Fragrantica Now I kinda want to try Gres Cabochard, because you mentioned that it has a a feeling like Aromatics Elixir. I have always loved AE, but it is not my perfume, it will always belong to someone I new from high school. I love to spray AE in the house as a room spray, because I love that enveloping cloud that it makes.
I actually wore Cabochard last night! It’s quickly moving its way up my must-have list. Certainly not for the faint of heart, but if you love Aromatics I think you will love this too. They’re not the same but they vibe the same - cousins, as it were. Let me know if you pick it up! Lattafa is great! Quality and value on those little guys are stellar. ❤️
The best iris of all times is Houbigant Iris des Champs. Highest quality, simply a stunner. Please watch the video by Lanier Smith review on Iris des Champs. Highly recommend.
Boucheron Collection İris De Syracuse is such an elegant, smooth, understated iris scent. It is the most beautiful iris in my collection. I used to wear the Prada one years and years ago but now it has no appeal to me. Something about it catches the back of my throat and I just can't...
Ah, thank you for the Boucheron tip! It sounds gorgeous, adding that one to my ever- growing Iris list. I know exactly what you mean about the Prada - something about it is physically unpleasant. 😬 Thanks so much for watching!
Have you tried Athalia by PDM? That one smells very similar to the Prada mentioned in this video. I happen to like the Prada better but I’m wondering if maybe the Athalia doesn’t have the staby in the third eye thing that you spoke about. ;)
I haven't yet, it's on my list! I'm a tiny bit apprehensive about the orange blossom note, I think that's been keeping me from testing it out. But I'll certainly give her a shot. Thanks for watching! 🥰
I was a little underwhelmed with stash too 😞 it just fell a little flat for me. I much prefer Borouj Perlador to that one, it’s more elevated and is more airy compared to stash, to me anyway.😅
@@rubyzion72 I would hate for you to go through all of that trouble and then not like it, I can try to send you samples? Unless you prefer the thrill of blind buying.

Mirror de envies sounds delicious 😋 kitten paws!!!! I want it!
Yesss, you know what I mean! Why do kitten paws smell so good?! 🤣🐾😻

Thank you for the kind words! Happy New Year to you too and thank you so much for watching! 🥰
Awesome list!
I love the way you describe the perfumes💞
My favourite iris for the moment is iris Dragées by lancôme. It is so soft and delicate 😍
Thank you! 🥰🥰🥰 Iris Dragées is definitely one I want to get my nose on, but I don't want to fall too hard! It's so difficult to find. 🥲
