Thank you so much for sharing this video. I'm really inspired by this. People who are planning to volunteer, you are doing a good thing to society. The society needs volunteers for making it better. There are updates from the surrounding that our help is required. Other individuals will also join us whenever we contribute our time. Have you ever thought the advantages you will get from volunteering? By helping others you are doing good for yourself. I say that you have many advantages, by volunteering. Volunteering to the community is a very good task and creates relationships between the people. We learn many new things from different kind of mentalities which people have. It develops good communication skills, increases the relationship and bonding between the people. Onata is providing you this opportunity, here you can find out all the volunteer opportunities.
Most volunteer work is in 3 world country's where accommodations etc. Are inexpensive... Im happy to pay for my own accommodations and good etc. but some of these companies charge way too much!!
I am happy you are willing to pay for your own accommodations, some orgs cannot afford to house you since they have limited resources. If you want to volunteer I would advise to stay away from them , majority of them are selling poverty and your impact is very little if any . Are you a voluntourist or a volunteer? If you want to volunteer contact the orgs directly and eliminate the middle man or join us on our Facebook group where we do just that eliminate the middle man

Thanks for the video! I hope with these tips I can find a country where I can volunteer without paying a lot for it, I don't mind to pay for accommodation and food, but the last organization I got in contact asked me 10.000$ for a month there :/

Thanks for the video and sharing some good advice. Could you recommend any good places to do volunteer work at in Argentina? Anywhere in the areas of Salta and Mendoza. I have a TEFL certificate and would like to teach English to small kids.

Thank you. I'm going to check out your links. I would like to work with animals, but not as a "voluntourism" as your said. I'm absolutely in paying my accommodation, food, travel cost etc. but that shouldn't cost 1000-2000 USD for 2 weeks.

Hello Rob, what are your thoughts on the application fee for volunteer work which is required by some organizations. An organization that I was interested in working for required $185 for the application. Not sure if this application fee is the norm but I would like your feed back.

I really want to volunteer abroad full time after high school. It’s only a struggle because a lot of organizations require you to pay and they provide food, shelter, etc. The problem is if I was always volunteering I wouldn’t have a job to make money. I just want to help people :( I do understand that they need the money to keep the organization running though.

Lol , I said that is what I saved up..... I didn't actually pay anything to volunteer , I have been volunteering lately with only a fraction of the original amount I had in my bank account now, It all depends on how you travel =) Majority of the organizations will provide you with food and accommodation . I am going to be posting an updated version of this video shortly which will go into alot more details and what I have learned
Volunteering is a rich kid thing you have to able to live on parents/passive income and still pay the bills back home
@@wheelfan100 That is the silliest thing I have ever heard, most of the people I have met volunteering around the world have little to no money saved up they simply chose to spend their money on traveling then buy things at home or spend nights out drinking their life away , when you consider majority of the orgs will offer food and accommodation and all you have to buy is plane ticket . You don't have to be rich to buy a plane ticket maybe you need to learn how to manage your money is the bigger issue at play here ,
