I love your attitude when you said “Dayshawn has been eating the twins fruits snacks, which is awesome, I love finding food that my kiddos will eat”. I almost started crying because of my childhood, my brain assumed you were going to mad that he ate something that wasn’t “his” (even tho big families share). The fact that you view this as a positive where you can learn more about him fills my heart with joy and feels like a balm on some of my past trauma ❤️

This is the third time I've seen you buy "salt potatoes." So I had to google it. In case anyone else was interested:
Salt potatoes are a regional dish of Syracuse, New York, typically served in the summer when the young potatoes are first harvested. They are a staple food at fairs and barbecues in the Central New York region, where they are most popular. Potatoes specifically intended for salt potatoes can be purchased by the bag along with packages of salt.[1]
As the potatoes cook, the salty water forms a crust on the skin, and the higher boiling temperature allows the starch in the potato to cook more completely, giving a creamier texture.

I’m from the Adirondack region of NY. My husband is from central NY, near Cortland. He wanted them and I had no idea what they were but they do sell them in our grocery store. We have them at least weekly and never have a bbq without them. They’re great with a roast, too. I melt butter and sauté garlic and use that along with sour cream to top them

One of my fondest memories is when I was 10 I started going grocery shopping for our family of 11 alone with my momma. I was never asked to help but I wanted to. Before check out she bought me a hostess cherry pie and a coke I devoured on our drive home. It wasn't the conversation it wasn't the treat it was just being near her alone, her and I.

I'm just some girl in Colorado working at walmart, but all day in my mind I'm thinking "I really need to go on a grocery trip with Alisha" after working all day in a grocery store. I gotta say, whoever is zoning (organizing product) is amazing, that store looks INCREDIBLY clean, incredibly organized, whoever is doing that needs a huge raise. I literally showed my coworker one of these videos because I wanted her to see how amazing Wegmans looked compared to our jobs shelves, and BOY - they're doing something right, whatever they're doing Walmart needs to figure their crap out. Lol.

Even disregarding all that, you are a unique individual with strengths and plans and dreams. Please believe in yourself and go out and get what you want!

I saw a video where you said Dash has POTS, I do too. His body will love the salt in the bacon. It’s always amazed me how bodies work out what they want. Like Dash (almost) always having bacon sandwiches. 😄 it’s great to see such attentive parents who pick up on things.
All the I’ll get these for….but ….prefers these, ….will only eat these, so I’ll get extra. Love it! You’re so right about food choices, being policed and seeing foods as good or bad isn’t helpful for anyone. I had to smile with Bree and Patrick’s cereal, I taught a child who’s now an adult and she’s told me many times she’d come to my classroom for cereal some days even if she wasn’t hungry. She came for the comfort of it 🌸 Damn, I had some arguments about providing breakfast those years. Then we started toasting about 10 - 20 loves of bread a day for anyone who needed it. But I wasn’t bothered if a child/family were running late & they sat and ate their cereal, toast etc in class. My theory was if the ceiling isn’t going to fall in, the sky is still in the sky and no one is hurt physically, mentally or emotionally…then relax, if it’s something that doesn’t matter just go with it 😄 Thankfully we got a great headteacher later and she was children first.

It’s funny to me how unbothered people were at the store. I have 7 kids and live in Georgia. No lie every time I go grocery shopping there is someone staring at me or even making comments or faces. A couple of times I have had people comment about that I am probably using food stamps. Even had a lady follow me to my car once to tell me that it must be nice to be on welfare and be able to afford so much food. Even after I asked her if she wanted to see my receipt that shows I paid with my debit card, she still yelled at me from her car as she passed by later on when I was still loading up my car. I cried all the way home because I just couldn’t understand why people are so mean. I work hard and so does my husband to give our kids what they need.
I’m glad you don’t seem to get that kind of hate.

Alicia you are correct green bananas do last longer.I come from a family of women who cooked and baked. And my mother made the world's greatest banana pudding. And she chose the green bananas because she wanted everything to be super fresh and ripe. She baked and sold pies and cakes, etc. And she also cooked and made individual dinners for clients as well, and she wanted everything to be top notch.Which is understandable,
because when paying for anything be it food or non food the customer, consumer, client should get and receive world class service, and quality products.Alicia my mother use to always say to me and my sister"if you wouldn't buy it,and you see that it looks bad, then why would you try to sell that product to someone else".Very valid point! She was a elementary school teacher as well for 40 years.Alicia you are the first mother that I have seen on UA-cam that grocery shops every week. You are a extremely busy mother.I personally don't know how you do it all.You make it look so easy. You are a super mom!!!!!!!And Alicia you are strong, you belong, you are loved, and you are a beautiful person inside and out as well!Alicia God Bless you and your family!

Was wondering on the status of your septic hook up. Not sure about New York . But you can use gray water on your garden where I am at that way if you wanted to do a load of laundry you could drain it into a bucket and water your plants with it added bonus is it cuts down on your pest control like aphids and other 🐛 bugs.you can do the same thing with bath tub water. We had the same problem when I was a kid that's how mom handled some of the problems. It was better than the septic backing up and having to clean up that mess. She also reused washer water rinse water would be used on the next batch of clothes as wash water. We had a 6 bedroom house 2 and 1/4 bathroom. 10 people. 4 fosters,2 biological, 1 adopted, and a foreign exchange student. Then mom and dad

You are amazing really! I am getting so much inspiration from you for meals that my 4 children will actually eat lol! 💕 But you are an absolutely amazing mom and I love what you are doing taking in children that need a mom to love them. I have the same vision to foster and adopt children from the same system I went through. Funny you said that about cereal because I ate Frosted Flakes the entire two weeks at my first placement in foster care when I was taken from my parents. I had to ask the neighbors for koolaid and sugar just to have something to drink besides sink water that was hurting my stomach because this was Palmdale so the water was hard. My foster mom left me and my foster sister alone for two weeks and the “aunt “ would come check on us every two to three days. So I really want to at least foster kids and give back because even my 2nd placement was horrendous, the lady did nothing, we had to cook and clean the whole house of 5 ppl and a 3 bedroom house fully paid for by the 4 foster kids she had always. My husband knows my passion about this and when I can afford it I will apply to take in kids thru foster care , but it makes me smile seeing you do all that you do because it’s God thru you I know. And it’s a selfless thing to do for those kids. 💕💕❤️❤️🥰😊😁

I have significant food aversions (ARFID) and eat cereal for almost every meal. I've been able to add a few fruits and toppings over the years to spice it up, thankfully. Two thumbs up for cereal!! 🖤
ALSO jealous you could find Uncrustables! The supply issues have hit us hard with those. I've seen people make their own and might have to try...

You got me hooked on the caramel macchiato iced coffee. I recently found a bag “frozen bean” brand caramel macchiato latte powder at wal mart. Just mix with water, have it hot, blended, or over ice. Its so good and easier. At my Walmart it’s where the bulk food items are in a blue bag! Please try it. It has caffeine and all in it.

PS I can't remember who this woman was but she was saying awful things about U & how u use ur kids for views...Well I just had to chime in(without cussing her out 😜) I ask a simple question for her & the minions..How many of u have a perfect family? Cause all of u are judging when that's not ur job..Guess what if u don't like them(Doughtery Dozen) then don't watch them since ur biggest concern is her making money from views!!! I was being nice because I know this is a family channel..Keep doing what ur doing!!!

I hate grocery shopping- so much so that I haven’t been in person for a couple of years and just ordering pickup. I have a lot of trouble with food aversion and a lot of food rules so I really just eat the same unhealthy things over and over. Something on my “to work on” list- but these videos make me feel comforted and calm around grocery shopping which I didn’t think was possible :p I love how you’re just out in the world buying food for your family and videoing it all for us- I don’t think I could be that brave.
TL;DR- You’re awesome thanks for being you

Wegmans is crazy expensive and they don’t have a good variety. It’s Wegmans brand and maybe one other. Plus , I find lots of things go bad quickly. You really have to watch the produce such as berries and their “specials” which means check the expiration date. I live on the west side of Rochester and the super Walmart is clean and well stocked along with the Aldi. Definitely save money by going elsewhere.

I love watching the shopping hauls it is great to look at the food, it is rare that I see groceries from your country to mine, the biggest thing I found when I lived in the US is how much food has cinnamon in, I hate the smell and the taste, I used to go with my mother to check labels to make sure we didn’t get anything with it in! I missed our chocolate, Galaxy and Cadburys is so creamy, my grandmother used to send us loads, the English stores that sold the UK brands were so expensive! You are so good at remembering your kid’s favourites, I only have two boys in their twenties and that costs so much more, our food has become very expensive! ❤️❤️❤️
