Nope I rode it on the beach yesterday, the part where the sand and water meet aka the shoreline and it did good. But there is still room for improvement.
Totally agree on the headlamp. Almost 3k miles on my rose ave. Was wondering about those new tires; I’ve had a slide out myself on the later S73 compound. How is the rear suspension compression? I’ve not yet seen a vid with the rear actually sweeping the full motion. Yeah that bike moves out lol Great vid 👏👏
Unlimited mode does not get enabled with the handlebar control. That's just Level 4 pedal assist. You have to enable unlimited mode through the Super73 app

I 100 percent agree, yes I understand ppl want a cool bike they can take on trails and jumps. I watch videos and many brands, mostly SUPER73 as I am waiting for my RX but even the sur on can give some problems on trails if you not experience and left it on stock parts. Great review and glad no problems with the motor. Make sure you get some inner tubes in case you ever get a flat.
Do not agree, SurRon is built wayy better than this bike and the engineering just makes more since, I have a SurRon x and use to have a s1. I've never had any issue with mine and I never rode a motobike in my life and was doing about 4 to 5 foot jumps with no issue.
raeshaun barnes I am glad you had no issues with your bikes. Based on how the bike looks and not riding them, I am waiting for my supee73 to come soon though. The SUPER73 bikes are fun bikes with a motor in them. They low to the ground like bmx bikes, my point is that the main intention of SUPER73 was not to do tricks like Parker does in shred it. Sur on looks like a better off road bike but I seen videos of a crazy uphill trail and even so the bike still slip and there, for someone like me that isn’t a professional or experienced on advanced woods type trails I would have easily bust my ass. I think Ariel is cool with the two motors and Radpower is nice with folding, the consumer just has to buy the bike that suits their needs and do some research before buying it like looking at the warranty etc.
I agree with the Sur Ron and Onyx bikes. That’s why I ordered an RX. Commute with an adjustable rear shock, pop wheelies and jump up curbs. You should make more videos!

Yes sir, the lock is a tight fit. I have to use a little muscle to wiggle it out but it was a great choice and doesn’t scratch the paint when trying to get it out.
Cool video, thanks for sharing. Quick tip, as the rider you know what is safe and not safe. That being said, a bicycle, moped, or whatever you want to call the Super 73 RX you have the right to use the entire road lane. This prevents vehicle from passing too close. Love it. Good looking bike. Just picked up a lightly used Z1 for only $1150. Looks like it just came out of the box. Wanting an RX or an S2. Mine will be a pavement princess, so I guess I should go with the S2? The darn Ariel Grizzly is tempting too. The "Hucks" are made right here in NC, but that's way out of my wallet range right now. 30 to 35 mph is more than enough for this ol' man. 40 is probably too fast to be riding in my old age?
Would you recommend this for a heavy rider? I'm worried about speed and/or distance being limited. In terms of speed...can you set it to max out at say 10 or 20mph? Does the Class 1/2/3 have speed settings that limit it (which I would like if I want it to go slower)? Can the bike handle say trails that go from paved to lightly gravel type trails which is what my area has. Thanks. Love the video!
Yes it has different classes you can switch to and set in a way. Yes you can go as fast or slow as you want. Yes it can switch from paved to gravel but you might want a more all-terrain tires. I would recommend these bikes .
Nice vid bro. Just wondering if you ever considered the Ariel Rider D-Class bike? I've narrowed it down to either the Super 73 RX or Ariel Rider but can't make up my mind which to get. lol
Not trying to be rude I just looked at the bike, and that thing looks ugly to me. I’ve always been into cafe racers and got to meet a bunch of people at Super73. I’m 100% happy with my purchase.
@@Mozeart No worries. I also live in Bay Area, Cali and was just curious if you ever considered other bikes before making your purchase. Glad you like your Super 73.

@@Mozeart I wonder why they don’t offer it for an S2, but that’s cool. Hey do you know if you have the V3 motor or an older one? When I ordered I specifically asked if it was the V3 before my purchase and they said it was but I think I have an older motor. Have you run into issues like other have?
I have a first batch RX I had a V1 motor but I’ve put over 1500 miles on my bike, hit a lot of jumps and did a few sets of stairs. I broke that V1 motor, back in July and it took them like a month to get me a V3 motor so now everything is good. But yes I ran into problems but only because I was getting the bike of the ground. If your just riding it and not doing jumps and stuff you should be fine. But it has been a issue with a lot of people, but they will replace it if and when that time comes.
@@Mozeart that’s good to know, I mean right now I’m scooting around not doing anything crazy but I have heard it’s an issue for some. And for me I’m a big guy I’m 6’6” and 220 so I need a motor that will keep the bike running well. Good to know they honor the issue, hopefully I won’t run into it but I’m loving the bike so far!
You mentioned that it's cut out twice while going up hill. Was this using the throttle only or with assisted peddling? I understand that a single 2kw motor might not be enough to pull up a long and steep hill with just the throttle. But I'm hoping that it would be fine with assisted peddling. I live in an area full of hills so this is one of my main concerns as most the reviews I've seen haven't covered this
Yes! I was only using full throttle. I mean a mid drive motor is going to be better for hills for sure. However these do just as well with peddle assist, plus the gear system is going to drop sometime next year. If you are in a hurry you might want to look somewhere else. However I love my RX and wouldn’t trade it for any other bike. I think this is just the start for Super73 and they will be a house hold name in a few years and this is the early train.
I’m in SF and with the 500w Rose Ave there’s two times in 2700 miles I’ve had to walk the bike up a super steep hill. I do pedal to help but the bike’s geometry and single speed keep me seated and the benefit is reduced. My GF with same bike doesn’t pedal much and just goes slower up hills but gets there. I’ve actually accelerated/hit full speed up hills. I think you’ll be ok even if overweight. I’m 6’1” and over 200lbs. One time I did several hills in sequence to a hilltop so like 5-6 mins full throttle and later discovered the battery’s (internal, had the battery pack apart to diagnose) connector plug had melted. The newer batteries have improved plugs and thicker wires. I’ve done a 1400ft climb over Mt Tamalpais also. Much sweat but doable. It’s usually cold in SF but I’ve ridden hard in hot weather on trips too. A second battery is really great. The motor will get noisier when it’s at max temps but it goes back to normal after cooling off.
Great video. How tall are you? Is it comfortable. I see people putting cafe racer handlebars and was wondering if it would be too low in the front for them.
Thank you! I’m 5’11 and it’s a perfect fit for me, I was wondering the same thing about the cafe racer handlebars. I guess it just depends on what type of style of riding do you prefer. I know Parker from SUper73 has them on his and he is taller than me.
No they are not adjustable, but a lot of people are doing mods and buying different parts. I’ve topped it out at 32mph, but it will do a good 30 mph for like 15 miles and than once the battery is about half full it will do another 13 miles at 28 mph.
Imagine like, a little robotic arm that reached out and shocked the shit out of you if you tried to sit on, or touch the bike for just a bit too long without disabling.
Good review that bikes looks awesome E bikes are here to stay have fun bro!! I ride a upgrade Hyper E bike it looks like a motocross bike. I only ride on the streets and run small errands etc.
I love how these ebike startups are so strongly heavily built for what-looks-like freeway cruise speed or easily blend in with traffic on surface streets like a normal motorcycle. Then you read it comes with top speed that a strong tour de france bicyclist could out run/pedal past. I'd say that qualifies for Edsil Lemon category. Think anything could be done about that?
28mph is the legal limit in most US states for a class 3 ebike. If you don't care about legality, get a Sur Ron. It's actually about the same price as this bike.
I like the more cafe racer style, I’m apart of the Super Squad community which is amazing and just from a design and company stand point SUPER73 is more my style. I live in Cali, I lived in LA for 2 years and enjoyed it and I’m always down there. Sur Ron is a rando China company with no face or personal connection. But sure speed...👍🏿
This is true though. A lot of the blame has to go to fossil fuel controlled legistlation... the old schoolers trying to sabotage new EV alternate powered transportation down to crawl speed so they can chid them with their "useless golf cart" propaganda... like they've been doing with EV cars for years.
For my commute its perfect, but I occasionally go a bit further out to a family members house. How would this bike fair on a 14 mile ride through some country roads?
Sweet review! The crank arms seem short when pedaling, can you measure from the arm to the ground at its lowest point? I think I’m going to install longer arms on my RX when it arrives.
Ordered my RX 2 weeks ago, scouring UA-cam everyday for RX content until my bike is here must say I have watched your video more than a couple of times!
So I live behind one of the Safest and richest neighborhoods in the country. Nothing but multi million dollars homes. My area is super bike friendly, I’ve done it in front of cops being and they just watch me go by. All cars and everyone stops for bikes here, and we have bike lanes all over the place. Big streets and very open cross walks, everything is 4 way stop signs. I’ve been riding up to a intersection and had a car stop in the middle of the rode because he was going to let me go if I didn’t stop at the stop sign.
Did you have to do any software updates through the app? I just received mine, same as yours & honestly it's a dog! It barely makes it up my drive way. I have several ebikes (SurRon, Segway, Juggernaut, Outlaw SS) & they all are way faster than the Super 73. Not even close so I'm wondering if there's something I'm missing? I've emailed the company but still waiting for a response. Thank you.
@@Mozeart No I never knew about them. I do offroad and on road. I own a Sur Ron and a Cake Kalk&. I like all of the new EV two wheelers. I have 5000 miles on my SR which I've owned for just over two years. The Cake I've owned for three months now.
The technology in the emtb world is really on that next level. That’s why they cost 6K plus. The Sur Ron is trying to be the cheap version of that but like you said in high power it’s not class 2. The RX feels off balance when you stand up to approach a jump compared to emtb. However it’s an amazing bike and they are just getting started. Hope they make it through all the competition and challenges.
Question: I saw you were peddling while traveling about 25 to 30 mph. Does the peddling actually add mechanical assistance to your forward propulsion at those speeds?
90 miles a day is to much for this bike. It’s good for about 30 miles a day if you want to be going at lease 25mph. You would have to mod the shit out of it to be able to do 90 miles comfortably.
My husband bought us both one of these new bikes (S2 and RX) as anniversary gifts. Within the first week, both gave error messages and then the motors went out completely. Needless to say we are bummed out. No way to reach the company for help so we called our credit card provider for a chargeback. I hope this helps someone before they make the same mistake.
They are getting swamped with lot of things, You should reach out to their Instagram or UA-cam page. I know they are doing a lot of new hires for all the changes. Mine is completely fine and I should break 1000 miles in the next week or so. It’s just like any new tech company there is going to be bugs when they break out and innovate. Sorry to hear about your experience.
Yes, if you are in class 1 it pretty much acts as a regular bike. It has class 1-4, 4 being unlimited mode which is the fastest. There is also a gear system you can buy separately.
You got to go with what works for you for sure. I love the cafe racer style and how easy they make the Super73 customizable, plus the community is amazing and they are just a good company with cool people.
Nope, I’ve got a gen 1 motor and just put 780 miles on it today. It’s only cut off twice and both times were on the same hill that’s pretty steep and it happened when I wasn’t peddling but cut it off and on and it was fine.. I dunno I’m someone who really takes care of all his stuff so this isn’t a surprise to me.
Hey the reason it's sliding out is because you are breaking mid turn these are not push bikes they are to powerfull they are basically 50cc motorcycles
It would fit but it might not as comfortable for you. It just depending what style of bike you are looking for and your riding style. I would try to test ride one first.
You couldn’t see it from the chest mount but I can see all the cars, plus they have a stop sign too. I also live in one of the safest bike area in the country.
I’m currently torn, I’m like why pay nearly 3k for a ebike when a bit more gets me a motorcycle? Maybe in cities with great bike lanes and stuff this would make sense but my city has zero bike friendly streets except one or two by the college.
Why can't they hook two batteries up to it so you can go further there's definitely enough space there in the middle I don't know if there's shocks on the front because I haven't watched the video yet I'm only 9 seconds in. ✌️😎
@@Mozeart yea I been stuck at home during the quarantine and racked up 25k from unemployment. All I been doing is throwing ribeyes on the grill lol. So it does 32 MPH out the box.
Does someone know how fast it will go when it is put in unlimited mode through the Super 73 App

Good luck and be safe out there.
Dope bike my friend! Enjoy and ride safe!
Thanks!
Sweet!
Are the handle bars or seat height adjustable?
How fast can it go and how many miles have you ridden it on one charge?
No they are not adjustable, but a lot of people are doing mods and buying different parts. I’ve topped it out at 32mph, but it will do a good 30 mph for like 15 miles and than once the battery is about half full it will do another 13 miles at 28 mph.
@@Mozeart Thanks. I'm 5 10 is that a good height for this bike.
Yes sir I’m the same height and it’s perfect for me.
I have the z1 and am starting to think about upgrading to this model. The battery life for the z1 is a bit disappointing!
The RX gets great mileage and is just so quick.
I'm about to order mines in grey. Where you get the mirror? Your neighborhood look like SJ. I'm here in Alameda.
It was in Palo Alto...if you use my code it will have you $100. I ordered my mirrors on eBay.
It looks like a short bike, when peddling would it be a problem for a 5'/ 9" person ?
Dope video 😎 by the way
Thanks! No, it’s fine I’m 5’10 almost 5’11 and it fits me just fine.
Have you ever tried riding on the bike on ice/snow? Do you know if it would be well compatible?
No I haven’t and I don’t think it would be compatible or safe.
Awesome bike. I'm curious about height restrictions. Can you adjust the seat at all? I'm only 6'1" but felt cramped on original 73
You can’t adjust the height but at 6’1” you will be fine.
All these bikes seam cramped to me.
That’s fair, I’m sure there are other options out there.
Agreed!
For my commute its perfect, but I occasionally go a bit further out to a family members house. How would this bike fair on a 14 mile ride through some country roads?
You are going to have a blast, anything under 28 miles distance is fair game per charge. 🤙🏿
What kind of alarm did you install on the bike? I ordered an S2 last month and mines is expected to ship next month in August. Very excited!!!
I just linked it, enjoy your bike and be safe out there.
Can you share the information about security alarm you mentioned that you bought in Amazon?
It’s just a generic alarm, there are so many of the same type of Amazon. Not really worth it in my opinion.
Sweet review! The crank arms seem short when pedaling, can you measure from the arm to the ground at its lowest point? I think I’m going to install longer arms on my RX when it arrives.
Nope they are just right it’s just the way the bike sits. I would ride it for a while before preordering things you see on videos.
Ordered my RX 2 weeks ago, scouring UA-cam everyday for RX content until my bike is here must say I have watched your video more than a couple of times!
Thanks you 👍🏿
Where did you install your Bike Alarm on your RX
It’s on the bottom tube of the frame.
Man he really blew through that stop sign
So I live behind one of the Safest and richest neighborhoods in the country. Nothing but multi million dollars homes. My area is super bike friendly, I’ve done it in front of cops being and they just watch me go by. All cars and everyone stops for bikes here, and we have bike lanes all over the place. Big streets and very open cross walks, everything is 4 way stop signs. I’ve been riding up to a intersection and had a car stop in the middle of the rode because he was going to let me go if I didn’t stop at the stop sign.
Where do I still?
Great review and super sick bike, this bad boy fast yo! I wish I live in the US.
The are also in Europe as well, As the company gets bigger they will be expanding. They are super fun to drive.
0:51 What exactly does it eat? Just curious.
Best e bike review ive seen.... nice one..
I really appreciate that 👍🏿
I literally have it in my cart right now 😭 i would like to get one to commute to work and back but idk send help haha..
I can only speak from experience they are totally worth it.
Thank you.
I like your realistic view of the bike.
Thank you!
@@Mozeart You bet. I live in the Bay on the Peninsula and ride E Two wheelers.
Do you go to the group rides?
@@Mozeart No I never knew about them. I do offroad and on road. I own a Sur Ron and a Cake Kalk&. I like all of the new EV two wheelers. I have 5000 miles on my SR which I've owned for just over two years. The Cake I've owned for three months now.
How do you like the Cake and how does it compare to the SR?
Sur ron you can have just not in the high power mode it would be cosidered class 2
Hope they make it through all the competition and challenges.
wonder if i can mount a super73 on back of my semi truck 🚛
😂....🤷🏿♂️ try it!
Lectric xp has a foldable ebike for $899 that goes 40 miles and 20-28 mph. Just bought that for my semi truck
Nice! Yeah there are so many brands to choose from now.
Pretty sweet bike! Stay safe out there!
THANKS!
Sick, thing takes off like a rocket.
Yes sir....
nice video detailed, regarding the alarm consider something that would text you maybe a low jack or something similar
Question: I saw you were peddling while traveling about 25 to 30 mph. Does the peddling actually add mechanical assistance to your forward propulsion at those speeds?
No it’s just keeps the continuous momentum.
Weren't you supposed to stop at 11 38 mark? On 4 way stop?
I guess, who knows these things. Cheers!
Would you recommend this as a daily driver 45 miles 90 miles total? Even using the riverbed bike trial. LA area
Sorry to hear about your experience.
super nice with that red and black!!!
Thank you!
Nice bike I have a juiced city scrambler. Luv the ebike life.
Thanks, yeah the ebikes are for sure a new wave in transportation
Great video! While riding , will pedaling recharge the battery.
No pedaling will not recharge the battery.
Is this bike is good for delivery and courier job thanks
Yeah it just depends on how many miles you do a day.
Great vid man!! was wondering what your top speed is in unlimited PAS 4? thanks
32 mph
@@Mozeart thank you!
How many speed is this super 73 rx? Also what is the different between s2 and rx and r ?
There is no gear system on the Super73, Please go to their website for more detail. www.super73.com
When you pedal does it feel like you can't catch up on the bike cause is fast?
Has only single speed on rx .
Jay Hernandez not at all everything is super smooth
Can it function as a regular bike? Silly question! What if i don’t want to ride that fast?
Yes, if you are in class 1 it pretty much acts as a regular bike. It has class 1-4, 4 being unlimited mode which is the fastest. There is also a gear system you can buy separately.
Mozeart they need more colors! I love the way this bike look but im considering the
juiced rip current s also
You got to go with what works for you for sure. I love the cafe racer style and how easy they make the Super73 customizable, plus the community is amazing and they are just a good company with cool people.
Have you had any issues? Tons of complaints have been pouring in
Nope, I’ve got a gen 1 motor and just put 780 miles on it today. It’s only cut off twice and both times were on the same hill that’s pretty steep and it happened when I wasn’t peddling but cut it off and on and it was fine.. I dunno I’m someone who really takes care of all his stuff so this isn’t a surprise to me.
@@Mozeart either way is honestly the best looking ebike for sure 🔥
I agree, i’m totally into the cafe racer style and that is one of the main reason I bought it. Plus I like the vibe of the company.
But what u being engineering got to do with any of the mods u have installed??
🤷🏿♂️ I dunno...
@@Mozeartmaybe by that engineer money allowing u to buy this awesome bike
Yeah! It has been one of the best purchase I’ve ever made.
Hey the reason it's sliding out is because you are breaking mid turn these are not push bikes they are to powerfull they are basically 50cc motorcycles
Thank you for sharing that, my next video I go down a few times because of that. Will post soon 👍🏿 I appreciate the advice.
They look cool as hell
They are a really fun bike to ride and own.
Great review!
Thank you!
This near Embarcadero road? It seemed so familiar
Yes it is...
@@Mozeart Haha I live in PA, maybe I'll see you around sometime 😂
That would be cool 🤙🏿
Great video! thanks for sharing:)
No problem, the bike is awesome. 👍🏿
i like that lock set up.
Super simple and it works great.
Will this bike be a good fit for a guy 6'4" tall? Or would I feel like on a kid's bike?
It would fit but it might not as comfortable for you. It just depending what style of bike you are looking for and your riding style. I would try to test ride one first.
Ha! Anyone notice all the STOP signs he kept blowing through? Did that once on a 10 speed as a kid and landed on someone's hood...
BOY THATS SOME BIKE,A LOVE IT.
Thanks you!
Awesome video! What’s the name of the security stystem on Amazon?
HENDUN
Bicycle Alarm Waterproof with Remote
Thanks!
Does anyone know what size Blackburn bag fits the super rx model?
Is it the small, medium or large?
Thanks very much
Why can't they hook two batteries up to it so you can go further there's definitely enough space there in the middle I don't know if there's shocks on the front because I haven't watched the video yet I'm only 9 seconds in. ✌️😎
I think that is coming in the future. Everything is still so new there is sooooo much growth and space in this new industry.
hello where did you get your'e tires from? thanks
They came on my SUPER73 RX
I have a question, what is the diameter of the front wheel and the rear wheel?
They have a website SUPER73.com
cool video, thanks for the info!
Thanks! You are welcome 👍🏿
What is the rear axle width on the swingarm?
I’m sorry I have no idea 🤷🏿♂️
Is there a horn? Hows the head lights when cruising at night?
Yes there is a horn, and the headlights are great. I think I might get some different ones later down the road for a custom look.
@@Mozeart yea I been stuck at home during the quarantine and racked up 25k from unemployment. All I been doing is throwing ribeyes on the grill lol. Trying to find something fun to do and watching all the bike videos I think I want to get 1. Not sure about laws and restrictions. New to the game! I would had crashed if I saw 2 hotties walking like you had did lol
I do invest in a lot of pure gold chains so I'm good with money. Just trying to stay healthy
There is a wave in the ebike industry right now, do something productive with you time. Time waits for nobody. 👍🏿 Cheers
How do you carry the groceries on that , safely ?
Backpack 🤙🏿
