REP. The king of benches 💪🏽
(Cue a pre-fight hype announcement) The unddddddddddddddddddddisputed HEAVY WEIGHT KING!!!!!!!!!!!
It's like these guys want me to get a divorce. I mean I'll probably get kicked out of my house but at least I'll have plenty of benches to sleep on
When the video ended and the Rep logo appeared my first thought was ‘ah man they didn’t do a corny end to this video’ but just moments later y’all came in with gold.
Gotta keep the easter eggs at the end for those who watch the whole video ;)
The ratcheting adjustment of the seat is pretty cool 😮
Easier and faster to adjust.
✨Elegant!
Impressive! You guys are making it tough for me to decide on which bench I want 🤔
Just when I thought your benches couldn't get any better, you go and do something like this.
Amazing bench. Just pre-ordered!
That angle adjustment on the front pad without pulley the pin is a game changer. Nice job on this bench, I think you pretty much fixed all the grips and added a ton more features over the out going model.
I pre-ordered this bench the beginning of March. I just got shipping notification from REP. It is supposed to arrive next Thursday. #Stoked
best bench ever. very adjustable and no gap 💪
I currently use two benches for Incline, Flat and Decline. This really is a modular bench that does it all. The time and detail put into this bench really is top tier
So....leg extension/leg curl attachment??? When's that on the way?
Most of the things I hated about the AB5000 have been corrected with the Blackwing. Namely the handle, pop pin adjustments, protection for storage. I can’t wait to use this bench
Just got mine today!
Just got my 5200….and now you do this to me.
I'm literally getting the AB-3000 2.0 FID delivered tomorrow and you guys decide to release this 😭
While this bench looks sweet, I just grabbed the AB-5000 when it went on sale last week. But, I love the idea of flipping the leg extension to do Nordics, I just tried this on my bench and it works great!
I’m glad I waited
I was thinking about waiting for some reviews to come out before picking this up to upgrade from my AB3000 but there’s no way this isn’t an incredible bench so I just decided to pull the trigger and pre order 😂 Now just hoping y’all get an order of matte black ones in sooner than expected so I can put it to use ASAP🤞🏼
Great to see the innovation from Rep including updating benches and Ares/Athena for PR4000 and 5000! Any idea when UK shipping is coming?
We are finalizing a big order to a UK distributor now! Throw your email in here and be the first to know! repfitness.com/pages/international-distribution
Hell yeah…freaking finally!!!!!!!!
This might be my favorite bench can’t say for sure cause i don’t have it yet lol
the bench is great, will you be making over attachments for the bench beside the leg roller? a dip attachment would be great.
Awesome bench y’all 😅
In addition to the leg roller, would be great to see a leg roller to go overtop of legs to use for lat pulldowns
Fantastic idea.
Great idea... we may have something in the works exactly like what you're suggesting ;) And a leg curl/extension.
@@REPfitnessyou guys said the same with the original zero gap bench...
@@Magnus-pm7ic it'll most likely fit both benches as their current attachment is universal between both benches and it should attach the same way
@@REPfitness don’t say that 😂 I’m literally trying to figure out what leg curl/extension machine to get since you guys don’t have one. I wanted my new home gym to be all Rep lol. Any hints on if it’s possibly coming this year?
Coop is most likely drooling over this thing.
Man I LOVE the new products coming out, I really do…but question: wouldn’t it be easier to get onto the bench to do the elevated sit-ups if there was a handle up there by the foot rollers? Ironmaster has one as well as Titan FID bench. Is that something that is possibly coming down the pike in the future. Absolute beautiful product, just trying to consider different angles. Thank y’all for everything you do and provide for the gym community. :)
That's a great suggestion! We will definitely consider it for a v2.
The bench I've been waiting for.
Built just for you :)
@@REPfitness One very minor complaint, wish it had a bare steel option for the color.
@@nolancollins4926 agree! It needs to match my other rep benches!
Just ordered in blue! Just sold my Rogue adjustable bench and will use my FB-5000 in the interim.
I just place a pre-order for this bench. I was prompted to add the optional leg roller at checkout but in the description for the roller it did not say it fit the new Black-wing so I did not add it to my cart. Can you confirm the leg roller will fit the new bench? Super excited to receive this product this summer. Can’t wait :). Thank you for the support. V/R Shane
Thanks Shane! It is - we link to it on this our BlackWing page - we highly recommend it since it adds a lot of versatility - repfitness.com/collections/adjustable-weight-benches/products/blackwing-adjustable-bench
Love this product! Would love to test it out.
Our new benches will be at the Arnold Sports Festival this weekend, Home Gym Con in a cpl months, and our showrooms in Pennsylvania and California will both have it on display to test in late May / early June when units are available.
come to Indonesia maket PLEASE!
Are you guys ever going to produce the Leg Extension/ Leg Curl attachment? People have been waiting for 3 yrs for this. 😑
Active prototype... working to perfect it.
@@REPfitness Any updates? Just got my Blackwing and really really want this attachment to become a reality.
Is the pad compatible with any of your other benches? I’m not sure if I want to get wide or standard and would like the option to get the other if I think I might need it later
@gymandfitness you guys need to bring this into Aus
Drop them an email and let them know to stock it! The more you ask, the more likely they will stock it.
Why does the seat pad have to be adjusted to no gap when storing upright?
🤔I wondered the same thing.
My guess would be that it somehow makes it less likely to tip over.
After looking at him lift it up and see the seat wobble ever so slightly, I think it is for 2 reasons. I think it adds more stability when standing for sure to have the gap closed. However, more importantly I think if it was all the way extended and you raised the seat quickly, I bet with the ratcheting seat mechanism it might flip/fall forward (up) when the bench hits the ground when upright.
Would it be possible to do a sissy squat with the leg roller in the same position as the demonstrated nordic curl? Maybe if you put a few weight plates on the other end as a counterweight?
Will there be an Ab-5000 2.0? Or is this supposed to replace it?
How many angles would be options for doing Nordic curl regressions?
Is the leg roller attachment the same as the AB-5000?
So is this their top model over the ab5200 2.0 version?
Have to wait till Coop does a review but this bench looks great.
You've ALMOST got me rep. Add a Leg Ext/Curl and Preacher attachment and you've got me!!
@reconstructionwouldhavesav9472 Bulletproof has a good one, if you're fine with tinkering
@@avinashtyagi2 Unfortunately Bulletproof doesn't have an Australian distributor. Rep does.
REP, you guys are our favorite wingman forever! 🤣
Haha, did you see the end of the video? :)
@@REPfitness Of course! That’s always the best part of your video!!! 🤣💪
@@studio500 we love leaving a little nugget in there after the credits hah
This has to be the absolute best bench on the market.
Thanks Chad, that's pretty awesome of you to say.
@@REPfitness I have an FB-5000 as well as an AB-5200 (v1) that I modified to accept the leg roller attachment. The fact that you guys have combined ALL items that people look for into one bench…including the zero gap. CRAZY!
@@faithfitnessandfatherhood I have the AB-5200 also and I'm curious how you modified yours to accept the leg roller attachment... care to show/explain?
Awwwww cmon REP! I just bought the zero gap and another bench from you guys! I can't fit a third bench unless I kick my wife out hahaha
How does this bench fit for incline press with a PR5000 with a lat/low row attachment? I find that the lat/low row attachment makes it difficult to get the bench into a workable position, and I'm wondering if the foot position on this bench works better in any way.
I just do the incline press outside the rack (i have a 30" depth rack with a rear lower stabilizer). To transition to incline presses you have to move J-cups and safeties anyway, so just move them to outside supports instead
Donde puedo conseguir los bancos en Latinoamérica
What grade of stainless steel are you guys using? That makes a big difference
better than the plastic handle used on the new Rogue Manta Ray
@REPfitness Why is it important to close the seat gap before standing the bench up?
To keep the seat more set as it goes vertical.
Niiiiiice! What is shown here…standard or wide?
nvm...must be standard bench since he said meets all IPA requirements
Getting ready to buy my first adjustable bench - money isn't really an issue so mostly just focused on getting the best all-round bench. Am I giving anything up by getting this over the AB-5200 2.0? Are there any trade-offs besides price?
The BlackWing is a pretty amazing bench. If this is your first adjustable bench, you'll be very impressed.
Leg extension?
Does the fat pad for the zero gap bench fit on this?
Good question - drop us a line - repfitness.com/pages/contact-us
I love the AB-5k ZG. However, Rep you've got to do something about the leg roller pads. It is by far the worst design. Please, make pads that are foam covered in leather or some type of leatherish material. The foam pads are way too hard.
How is the paint protected on the ladder system?
There is no metal/metal paint contact. It has protection between the metal components.
Hey rep-I LOVE my raw clear coat FB-5000 AND my matching 1st-gen zero gap….is there ANY way this BlackWing is going to be offered in that finish as well? If not, kindly consider; if so, TAKE MY MONEY
Howdy! It's in the works and will be released this year. No exact date yet, but stay tuned!
@@REPfitness THANK YOU Rep you never let us down! I will “patiently” wait for it :)
@@REPfitness Would you consider starting a wait list for a clear coat BlackWing? It appears several people on this thread alone including myself would be interested. Thank you either way.
@@liebermanji45 We'll get a pre-order going as soon as we have eyes on a date. Don't worry, we'll get a decent size batch the first go to ensure we have enough to cover nearly everyone.
@@REPfitnessYou guys are AWESOME! This bench in raw clearcoat will be centerpiece of my gym. I have the matching FB-5000 in raw clearcoat as well as the AB5000 same color (which this will replace)-they are all freaking stunning, like literal steel works of art. They are even so nice to touch and handle. If you haven’t yet, trust me it’s worth the extra $30 color upgrade fee). I will check your site every night and hopefully stalk it into existence by year-end lol. I really appreciate the thought and design that went into original and now this new 2.0 zero-gap. Truly thinking out of the box. Thanks Rep!
Ps-product by product, you have converted me.
Torn between the new 5000 and new 5200. The 131 lb weight of the 5000 is a big negative for the wife even with the new lift handle. I'll have to see some reviews but I'm leaning toward the much lighter 5200. Shame some aluminum couldn't be used in non critical areas to bring the weight of the 5000 down.
The BlackWing's handle placement definitely makes it easier to pick up than our AB-5000. However, the 5000 series benches in general are meant to be overbuilt and heavy duty. I would consider the AB-4100 if you're looking for a solid flat/incline bench that is easy to move around.
It's a bird it's a plane it's a mother*uggin dope bench . Next - Voice activated adjustments 😜 I just dropped a gem
I don't think I've tried a wide pad for benching.
Does it get in the way of the arms' range of motion?
I think it depends on how wide your shoulders are, I’m a smaller guy and for me it’s almost like a barbell floor press.
@@23Khameo Oh okay. I'll have to do some measurements.
thing is... you use an adjustable bench for more than benching. I have the Rep flat bench with wide pad for bench press, but I don't want a wide one on my adjustable due to it limiting arm ROM during chest supported rows, etc
@@lsmjake So in your case, you claim that the wide pad doesn't get in the way of your bench press, and you prefer a wide pad for bench pressing.
@@ChrisPBacon3000 likely does depend on how wide your shoulders are. I do typically use the wide pad for flat benching, as it supports under my shoulders a little more. That said, as long as the pad is 12", I think I could do without if needed. I don't seem to have a problem using my 12" adjustable pad for incline barbell/DB bench pressing. So if looking to save some coin or if short on space, go with an adjustable bench with a 12" pad and you should be ok. But flat benches are relatively cheap, so I went that route and got the wide pad on that.
Is this the matte color or glossy black?
Matte finish
Was this video shot with a 12" and 14" pad?
Our standard 12"
What about leg extension attachment?
Prototype phase, will be released later this year.
Take my money
This 5-minute video took 151 minutes to film, from 11:43 am to 2:04 pm.
So no link.

Damn, not available for 2 months
Sigh... *takes out wallet*
Ps. Do you guys have a Smith Machine planned for the PR-5000? 👀
They have an "empty your wallet" machine 😋😉
Bells of Steel is teasing a smith machine rack attachment... not sure when release date is yet though
Make it available in clear coat and take my $$
Rep just responded on my recent comment that they will be offering this in clear coat sometime this year - I’m totally waiting for that! Maybe rep can make a waiting list for that hint hint ;)
At this point I think you should focus on the EU expansion, rather than making a new bench every week. It looks great though for sure.
Is there going to be any other attachments, and a back plate option for nordic hamstring curls?
🪪 One this this video didn’t cover: the NAME.
Why BlackWing? And why now depart from cryptic letter-number combinations? 🤔
