- WE FINALLY HIT 10K!! Thank you so much to everyone who watches, likes, comments and shares my videos! Just as I share my jewelry making tips as I learn and grow, I also want to share my experience with UA-cam as I learn and grow.
UA-cam was by far the most intimidating social media platform I have put myself on, but it is also the one that has been the most rewarding. I truly hope these tips can help you if you are hoping to start a channel soon or are struggling! YOU CAN DO IT!

You seem to be such a sweet person .. i am struggling as a UA-camr or content creator.. i would love to connect with you and learn from you.. its so great that you are sharing your journey and not just the end .. ❤
Thank you! 🙏🏻🥲 and I’m sorry to hear you’re struggling! When I felt like I was, I was always super inspired by Katie Steckleys story (she’s on UA-cam), she did this for 4 years before ever being monetized, she never gave up just kept testing things out and then her channel took off!!! Now she’s makes multiple six figures between her channel and a business she created through it all. 💜 just don’t give up 💜
Fellow self taught UA-cam jeweler here 🙂 very helpful tips here. I haven't made time to film in a while because I landed a job as a setter/jeweler apprentice. Thank you for the motivation. Gotta start back up!
What an amazing accomplishment getting that job! Your skills are going to skyrocket! 🫢🥳
I’m happy to help! 🙏🏻☺️
Thank you for these tips❤. I tend to watch UA-cam videos while I'm working or doing something around the house, I've noticed that certain noises or talking tones have also made me exit out of a video. I don't know how to explain it, but it almost triggers my anxiety or overstimulates me. So I've tried to keep this in mind when I'm making videos for my channel as well
One question that comes to my mind:
Your niche is jewelry craftsmanship. Does it "hurt" your channel if you mix with "UA-cam channel growth"?
I always heard that we have to stick to the chosen niche as video subjects to help the algorithm suggest your videos to the right audience.
What is your experience with that? Is it doing good or bad for your channel?
Congratulations for your achievements so far! You deserve it!
Thank you so so much! This is a very valid question. I have heard the same and assumed the same that it’s best not to, “confuse” the algorithm.
However, I view my channel as more of a place to help my fellow jewelers/business owners learn a craft, grow their business and hopefully inspire anyone starting a business, no matter what that business may be.
I don’t want other jewelers to find my channel and only get help with setting a stone, but I want them to learn about other ways of expanding their business, start a website, start a UA-cam, marketing their work, etc.
I have noticed so many UA-camrs burning out over creating content on the same topic over and over and over again, and I love this “job” and I don’t want to end up there. I feel I’ve made an umbrella of topics that I care about and that are somewhat relevant to each other and want to talk about them no matter what the consequences may be. 💜 Thankfully, I feel this is working out decently well and I’m finding the people that I’ve been trying to reach for sure. 💜💜💜
I just want to be myself, and although strategy is important for sure, I also want to make sure I’m checking all the boxes I care about and that I feel will be helpful to others.
Having said all of that lol there are things that I care about that I won’t ever share on my channel because they aren’t relevant in any way whatsoever lol you’ll likely never see me talk about makeup or traveling or home renovations because they’re SO outside of my typical topics that it just don’t make sense. 🙈😂
I hope that makes sense 🙈🙏🏻💜 thank you for the good question! 🎉
Thank you :) Your story is inspiring. I also saw your video about how much money you made.
I've started my youtube channel a few months ago and I've testing differnt types of "formats" to find where my strengths and passion resonates with an audience. Hopefully it "clicks" when the format is in place 🙂
Great information again! I especially appreciates the tips on editing and shorts!
I loved your comment about the lower pay of shorts, “I wouldn’t give that money back.” 😁🙌🏼
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your experiences and perspective! I just found your channel and I'm already hooked on your vibe ❤
I remember coming across one of your videos several months ago. I had already taken a few metalsmith courses and seeing your video made me realize that I should start investing in my own tools so that I could eventually do metalsmithing from home (still nowhere near that goal) instead of paying so much money for school. Thank you so much for sharing all those great tips and not being a gatekeeper! Wishing you lots of success!
Thank you for sharing that, I’m so happy I can help! 🥹💜 this was 3 years of accumulating tools, so you have time! Plus, there are plenty of tools that are your essentials and A BAGILLION more that are just nice to have; you can do big things with just a small amount of tools. 💜
Adriana you are my inspiration and I am following your steps. Thanks to share. ❤😊
Thank you 🥹💜
What program or website do you use to edit your videos? Thank you for these helpful tips regarding UA-cam videos! I'm not into jewelry but researching about starting a YT channel and this is some of the most honest and raw content about making videos I've seen so far.
Thank you, that means a lot to hear! 🥹💜 I use Final Cut Pro 💜
@@MiteraMade appreciate your response. All the best 🙏🩷
Appreciate all of your tips and advice soo much! I’ve just started for about a month but in just a few weeks I’ve gotten exponentially better at all of it - time management, ideas, speaking on camera, and editing skills. I’ve even grown from only 17 subs to 43 in that time so I’m trying to speak my success into existence and I find videos like yours and other creators being so supportive, are sooo inspiring and helpful so thank you for making this and sharing your experience! ❤ I won’t give up! 💪🏼
Thank you Adrianna for the words of encouragement. I am at 600 subscribers. I know I should niche down but at the same time i do like both personal finance but feel cost savings of doing things yourself through DIY videos are related. YT likes to categorize channels and that is where I am being challenged. Thanks again.
Amazing work and jewelry
Valuable insights - thanks for sharing. Your self introduction was so good at the beginning! ❤️🔥

I feel like I needed this video this week! Thanks for the information and the encouragement! Been wanting to get serious about UA-cam just feel super weird on camera 😂
I’m so glad it could help!! I totally get the feeling weird part. I don’t know if that feeling ever rreeeeallly goes away BUT having fun with what you’re filming helps a ton! 🙈💜
I love your energy and valuable content! Thank you, love from a fellow jeweller ❤
Thank you so much! 🥹💜
Welcome to the great Pacific Northwest! I live in Spokane Valley, Washington ! Your videos are good!
Thank you so much! 🥹💜
I’m loving the area!! The weather, mountains, fresh air, it’s a great place to be!! 🥰💜
I am also new to creating content and happy to find this video.
I am learning jewellery by myself I don’t think I going to be in You Tube. I have to find other ideas to grow.😊
There are so so many avenues, with or without UA-cam you will do AMAZINGLY! 💜💜💜💜
Thanks!
I love you mom, you’re so sweet. 🥺💜😘
Can you adopt me ?
Hi Mitera! I am new to soldering. Can you show more videos about this? I feel like my little kitchen torch isn't getting hot enough lol I really enjoy your videos!
I can absolutely go more into detail! ☺️💜 thank you 🥰💜
The Durston blow torch is super helpful or any hand butane torch from Lowe’s or Home Depot will do the trick too!
I just found your channel! Thank you for this information. I have been afraid to start one. What do you use to edit your videos?
I completely understand the fear! 🙏🏻🙈 it’s definitely one of those, “close your eyes, and jump” things 💜 you can do it!! 🎉🎉
I use final cut pro 💜
@@MiteraMade thank you! Definitely a take a leap! Lol 😆 wish me luck!
Adriana, I'm trying to learn wax buildup techniques with gemstones. How do you keep the wax from popping off the stone when you first start? I keep trying, using a variety of waxes, (blue/purple/green/Kate Wolf's red buildup wax)....nothing sticks to the stones. I read somewhere else that dental inlay waxes were the best but I don't want to invest more $ on wax until I figure out if it's just something I'm doing or not doing correctly. Help!
I know exactly what you’re talking about! Lol I usually try and get my wax as hot as I can and smear it as quickly as I can so that not only covers the back of the stone but where it can kind of wrap around the face of the stone as well. Once it’s wrapped around the edges a bit it won’t pop off. Then you can dig your stone edges out when you’re done. I hope that helps! 🙏🏻
Don't niche to narrow.
Thank you.
Personal I don’t like short videos. I am also like to see other artist work. I am only washing 😊You Tube because I don’t have too much time and I am busy with my work because I am an illustrator. I had a small group of talented artists that I love but is frustrated when you want to see their videos and there is nothing related with their work and you are in the other country at 3.0 am in the morning waiting for their videos.
That’s awesome that you’re an illustrator! 💜 I do know there are a lot of people that don’t like short form content. I personally don’t enjoy making it, but I definitely am a consumer of it. 🙈 sometimes, as hard as you want to resist, you have to jump in with the masses to keep up. 🫠
Yes I am an illustrator. I am trying to set up a small business and I am planning and organising everything, not easy but I going to do in my timeframe. Love your courage and your honesty. You are a sweetheart.
Can you make your videos more eyebrow focused ?
Do you need an eyebrow tutorial? 👀😂 it was never in my plan of videos to make, but for you, I’ll do it! 😉
Yep, How can I get my eyebrows doing a Mexican wave ? We also get bad bush fires here this time of the year in Australia , so perhaps a video on hazard reduction and clearing dead wood and leaf litter from my eyebrows. Also the best way to go about it without disturbing the natural wildlife like Koala bear colonies etc that call my eyebrows home. @@MiteraMade
Thanks!
Mooooooommmm! 😭💜 you’re so sweeet thank you 😭💜
Girrrrrrrl ❤ you know you my favorite artist!!!! Xoxo
