@@jeremyc9593 There’s a difference between being the “same” and being consistent. Breaking Benjamin is on the consistent end. I don’t think their songs sound the same, they’re just each carefully crafted into great songs with the Breaking Benjamin’s vibe attached.
Oh yeaaah, great pick! 1 of my very favs of theirs. It's funny, I've only hated 1 song of theirs & I loved all their albums pretty much start to finish, w/ th exception of " Diary of Jane " I hate that song! I think it's still their biggest hit to this day😅
I think Ben is 1 of th best Hard Rock song writers out there today. His songs always have so much meaning, never frivolous. Love his voice too, big fan
2:22 seeing how you get tense when the chorus is about to hit, and you are so ready for the chorus made me laugh. It is so relatable. Breaking Benjamin is my favorite band because they seem to have perfected the use of dynamics in their songs. They know how the fill the musical space so well, their melodies are spot on, Benjamin's voice is so emotional, powerful and unique, yet relatable because his technique does not seem perfect like many singers are, sort of alienating those singers in a way. Benjamin's voice may not be technically perfect, and he does mess up some times, but he is hands down the best rock vocalist in the world in my opinion. Songwriting is mind blowing. Also, on stage, Breaking Benjamin always seems like they really get in their element every show. It is creative expression in such a pure form. Their music really does take me to another place. Best band ever.
These guys are absolutely incredible! The "long verse, short hook, riff, short verse, long hook" is a signature part of their sound I'd say. Also, I finally got my hands on the AKG K240's, awwwwright! :D
I just wanted to recommend the band Rise Against! They are my first recollection of hearing something and immediately loving it. Their album Appeal to Reason is where I started carving my own taste in music and they're still in my top 3 favorite bands with Tool and Linkin Park.
Breaking Benjamin has always been that band that I go back to every now and again. They never were my favorite, but never lost their touch with me. I listened to Dear Agony over and over growing up and picked up We Are Not Alone a few years ago. I also just recently bought Saturate, and have to say it's my favorite album from them. _Polyamorous_ has such a good riff, but I really enjoy _Phase._
This band has so many songs that will get stuck in your head. Incredibly talented band overall especially watching them live. I really like his voice. Polyamorous is one of the songs that broke them out, and Diary of Jane put them over the top. Great reaction as always!! 🤘🤙
They've got alot of their older songs redone in a cool unplugged arrangements. Love watching these guys live. I've seen them in a small venue and it was amazing.
Great choice. I’ve always loved the harmonic double tracking on the majority of the lead vocals with BB tracks…he has a beautiful tone but the DT adds an ethereal undertone which the mastering engineer does interesting panning with.
Man, I hate sounding like "that guy" but I listened to these guys since the early days when I was in middleschool and got to see them a couple times in concert around 2008 when I actually had a car lol, they're awesome. (Also I like the scally cap)
Yeh they are awesome I've met Ben in real life too. He is really tall. I didn't know that until I shook his hand and thanked him for a good concert lol!
Great new band to dive into, Geebz! My personal favorite album of theirs is Phobia. Check out Dance with the Devil or Until the End. Both are killer songs! Aloha...🤙

I love these videos. Really enjoy your breakdown and just watching you find new music. I would love to see you decompose So Cold Acoustic By Breaking Benjamin
My favorite Breaking Benjamin song has always been "What Lies Beneath" but this one I think is also pretty good. I love their style with the hard riffs changing into these melodic sections.
Strongly suggest breaking Benjamin: “Simple design”. Not their most popular but man is it A banger and so many different sections that I think you’d have fun picking apart. Love the reactions rock on 🤘🏼
Breaking Benjamin is my all-time favorite band. Fell in love with them in middle school. Would love to hear your thoughts on “You” or “You Fight Me” or the classic “Diary of Jane”
BB is one of those bands I have to hide my love for from my more elitist music friend. I do however, love them to death! I'd recommend Give Me A Sign and Evil Angel
One of my favorite things about this band is that Ben really hasn't changed his style up much, from first album to last album (excluding their acoustic album) they pretty well stick to their own sound, and really you can tell his progression in song writing through the albums! He also has some good...don't know what to call them, changeups maybe? Ashes of Eden and the alt version of Diary of Jane are a couple.
Yes great song choice! So many awesome breaking ben songs, i feel like blow me away was their biggest hit, and diary of jane was also huge. Or if you want a sad song listen to dear agony, a slower song where you can feel the pain in his voice.
So glad you've gotten to Breaking Benjamin! As with some of the other bands you've come across, you're in for a ride. They have their own unique sound (mostly due to Benjamin Burnley's voice and their choice of keys). I haven't heard everything they've done, but have never heard anything I haven't liked. Looking forward to more of your reactions to them. :)
I'm so glad you're reacting to Breaking Benjamin! Been a fan of theirs since I was in middle school. Used to listen to their albums on the bus to and from school; had my Sony Walkman CD player and everything 🤣 "Diary of Jane" and "Dance With The Devil" were the songs that really got me into BB, so I'd recommend checking out those!
They are awesome live! Got to see them in a small venue back when they started getting big in Harrisburg! I'm so glad that Ben Burnley is able to perform again "something you don't want your girlfriend to say" dead 🤣🤣💀
Probably my favorite BB track. Not terribly deep or complex, but the riffs are heavy, the drum fills are compelling, and the vocals are quintessential Ben. Satisfaction guaranteed.
Used to listen to this band, was my favorite throughout middle and high school and was my gateway to heavier music later on. Not really my thing anymore but I still have a soft spot for them
Great video. Love seeing the reaction format in an analytical light. If you want a deeper cut of Breaking Benjamin's, I'd go for Phase. If you're looking for one of their heavier songs, I'd go for Feed the Wolf or Blow Me Away. And if you want to analyze a good vocal performance, look into the acoustic version of Without You.
My favorite BB song is Forever off their first album. Very chill, but Ben's voice just kills it. I know I am one of the few that would say that one is my favorite, but it is.
Listening to BreakingB always takes me to listen to Three Days Grace, 3rd Strike, Hoobastank, Nickleback and all the post-grunge groups that apeared on the early 2000's... one song always gets me to other great songs from the other bands, don't know why!

A sick BB deep cut is “sugarcoat.” Off their first album, super underrated
That first album is possibly their best

Yes very underrated but glad they still keep it in their set list. Big fan of simple design, wish that song got more attention when it was released.

Have a listen to “The Red” by Chevelle. It’s in the same genre as Breaking Benjamin and similar sounds.
Oh absolutely. Vitamin R, An Island, Door to Door Cannibals, so many good ones from them!
My favorite Chavelle songs are Closure and An Evening With El Diablo but they have many more. Whole first album was great. Send the Pain below etc.
I love Shameful Metaphors and The Closure
ewwww boring ass song and band.
I always think of Chevelle and Seether as heavy-chill. Don't know that I've heard anything from either that I don't enjoy.
