Thanks great content, I want to clarify what you said so if I make a copy of my original birth certificate from the state of Arizona, the SOS could not apostille it. I would have to order my birth certificate from the state of Arizona or the other company you named before it can be apostilled?
Correct, you cannot apostille BCs from copies... well, you can in theory, but they would never be accepted, anywhere. Each state can only apostille its own documents. For example, a birth certificate from California has to be apostilled in Sacramento, or the Secretary of State branch office in LA; likewise, a birth certificate from Arizona has to be apostilled in Phoenix. If you need new copies, the company that processes vital records for most states is VitalChek. Thanks!
hi..i have a question. if a person was born in venezuela and the last original birth certificate was issued in 1996. it was translated to english and notarized in 1998. the notarization was certified by a county clerk in louisiana in 2000 and the venezuelan consulate also legalized the signature in 2000. the person now resides in california. how does he/she go about getting it apostilled..?
Can I apostille a legal document from Ecuador in California, where my ex(who resides in California) authorizes the sale of a property in Ecuador? Please advise. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.
The state of CA can only apostille documents issued or notarized in California. A document from Ecuador will need to be apostilled in Ecuador. However, if it is legal document that is signed/notarized in California, that could be apostilled in CA as long as the notarization is done properly.
Which county? And what is the name of the signing party -- or, who is the local registrar? It is probably okay, but I will cross-reference the county/signature with others we have done. Let me know.
@@ApostilleService Sonoma county and at the bottom it says "local registrar" of Sonoma County and the name is George or "serge" can't tell cursive but probably George Flores MD I believe last name the F could be something else. George R Flores it looks like
but when i looked at california secretary of state it says for BC that are signed by local registrar I need to go to county clerk and have them certify it first before apostilled
@@maxfrederick1244 Yes, this is the exact wording: Note: If a birth or death certificate has the signature of a Health Officer or County Registrar (e.g. Local Registrar, Registrar of Vital Records), prior to presenting the document to our office for authentication, one of the following will be required. I just wanted to confirm as some customer call and ask and as the document has both a signature from the local registrar and clerk/recorder. If only the local registrar, it will need county authentication.
Hi, what do you need to apostille transcripts of record? Thank you
Just have them notarized first (by the school) and then they can be apostilled by the state. Thanks!
