Exactly, make fun of… Which in itself shows a poverty of reasoning about that war, not just how venerable the French army has been throughout history. The Germans were autocratic state, and France was a democracy, Germany could move quickly and unilaterally and had total conviction in dominating continental Europe in order to establish living space for the bogus brainwashed idea of an Aryan race. . The Germans ramped up mobilisation from the beginning of 1935, whilst the French, Having maintained an army, couldnt mobilise in anyway whatsoever, because that would be political suicide for a political party Not only in democratic France, but also in democratic UK, whose populations were so bitter about world war 1,, that any talk of military mobilisation and consequent spending being taken away from the People's hard-won services, would result in certain defeat that the next general election, if war didn't develop after the mobilisation.Political figures in both Britain and France felt that they couldn't risk mobilising, until it was "absolutely clear" of what Hitler's intentions were.Total Catch-22 situation and it's what left France underprepared, when the German single focused machine descended upon it- This wasn't an Embarrassment for France, 1 has to properly research the effects of World War I to truly understand that it was by far the most shockingly horrific and psychologically damaging war in history - Even the Second World War doesn't compare in the slightet!
Yeah and it fucked up europe, democracy doesn't work and this equality ideology is delusional, the french revolution led the way to communism. The first socialists/communists were french.
The goal of the french revolution was not bringing democracy to all Europe but liberalism through the help of Nations (in French 'nation' means a whole of people impelled by their hopes to refuse their rights and their dignity in order to become citizens who share a public, a superior duty) The 'Déclaration des Droits de l'Homme et du Citoyen' says just that all human are equal IN RIGHT AND IN DIGNITY, not equal in all so they can be different and think by their own, their rights no longer owned by one (kings at this time but also tyrant, dictator). It doesn't mean at any point to oppress one another, it's THE manifesto of liberal ideas (the first meaning! an ideology that promote that all humans must be free to think what's better for their nation (liber = free)) and I agree that these won. Many of our current political movement were embodied in this liberal text which is the birth of our modern world and now all of those human voices are free to speak what they think is better for them (communism, socialism, capitalism, nationalism, anarchism, ... and all the others) Also, I think you confused French Revolution (1789-1799) with French Commune of Paris (1870) wich was Marx's inspiration for Communism (the french word 'commune' at this time just meant 'city' so the 'Commune de Paris' just mean the city of Paris and that's how it is still nowadays called in France). awesome music and video
It is great work, very detailed and accurate
If only France had the same power in WW2
CH1EF HUGO also French people were fighting to defend ideas during this time, whereas in WW2 the population was still heavily scared by WW1
The capitalists and traitors that were leading the nation sabotaged us. The nazis themselves told it the french are lions governed by donkeys. The leaders knew of what was coming but they were afraid of the "Front Populaire" huge riots started in 1936 (1929 crash took longer to make its way to France) for higher wages and paid vacation way ahead for that time, and the traitors said it this way "rather Hitler than the Front Populaire" capitalists have no homeland beside money. The country failed miserably mostly afraid of loosing millions of people in a new world war.
Typical French leaders to turn on their own people, nothing new here in France, still going to this day XD
@@jeremiemarion3966 so true
Hiro Shao Well they had so powerful land Army but economically and in population they were much weaker than Germany. For exp. Germany accounted about %12.7 of World industrial production in 1938 and produced 23 millions tons of steel and France accounted %4.2 of World industrial production and produced about 7 million tons of steel and in population German mainland without Austria had 68.6 million people(if we add Austria that was about 75-80 million)and French mainland had 42 million. Also Germany had a much bigger mil. expenditure though and much larger and modern air force.
This channel is so good
Great video!
Take pride France, one of the best moments in human history.
Sometimes you have to fight to defend your ideas.
Demt
1789: Europe tries to kick French ass
1810: France punishes European countries for their insolence
Pipsy 1815: lol France defeated Europa invicta
nbsp fuck that
Great video man. Really enjoyed it. Seems to be more factually right in comparison to your earlier video, although the former is more pumped up; probably because of the music :)
Would very much like to see your video on Napoleonic series of wars.
+uma priyadarsi I'm working on the Napoleonic Wars at the moment, but it's quite a big project, so it won't be out for another two weeks or so.
+Ollie Bye (History) I can only say thank you, my dear man. Take your time, not that it needs to be said. :)
When you dismantle HRE and fighting against rest of the great powers as France in EU4 in1600-1700s.
When you suppose to be in trouble think to be a French general the 6th of June, 1793
Your videos a great, and this one too, I really like this one. Suscribed, keep the good work
hey dude keep up the great videos recommended u to my friends ;)
Territories under French Revolution influence could never go back to ancien times....
3:15 What are you doing, you two could've taken Europe together, like in EU IV
I think you forgot to show the Venetian Republic being partitioned between France's Italian puppets an the Austrian Empire. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Awesome vidéo !!! I prepare almost the same video on the first coalition for almost two months ;)
+Historical map Animator I look forward to it.
Yes thank you I would have ended within a month, I have 3 years of war to ;)
And that's why there are so many tourists now visiting the Arc de Triomphe
i love as a french like how France's be like, "Ahem, guys i'm doing revolutionary wars, could you just stop pissing me off"
Nice vid!
The most brutal weapon ever used in war...........
The cold.
Zeek zero Nope, that would be the Napoleonic wars.
...this is what happens when you let Peasants angry!
Basically me after reaching 50 aggressive expansion inside of HRE.
Super!
Tell me one fucking moment in History where the British do the same...
J'ai Raison Pas Toi. Hahaha never
Britain has factually never won a war in Europe without strong allies
In this case, Spain (afrancesados) supported France against Britain as many times in the past (sometimes the opossite aswell), carrying ideas of Ilustration to whole Europe and change the age of absolute kingdom.
Without Spain, for France, alone, would be imposible to get that point. The revolutionary new ideas goes to Europe and world thanks to these countries, specially by France, but don't forget Spain and the revolution in there aswell.
Regards.
Powers in Central and East Europe 1792: Ok guys , let's chill and let Britan do the work, don't want to fight against France.
Also These Powers: POLAND IS A DANGER, WE HAVE TO DSRTOY IT NO MATTER WHAT
Prussia and Austria were fearful of Russia, not Poland. That's why the 3 of them carved it up.
I love your videos! From fluent. :)
Awesome.
Really great video! Could you make a video like this for the Napoleonic Wars?
All those countries to defeat a lone republic - and they failed... What a pity. Vive la France
OH my god t'es français
great work as always, will you do the napoleonic war as well?
Good job
are you going to make the napoleonic wars :) ?
Yeah, maybe at the end of February or early March I will.

RIP poland-lithuania a the beginning... they got divided by others all the time... in 1939 was the last time.
Very nice
Great video! Do you ever plan on doing the Great Northern War, if I may ask?
+Kane Rises That might be a possibility in the future, but I think I'm going to stop doing wars for a while (until May or something).
You don't really see many animated maps on the Great Northern War. I've only seen one good one, and it was the only one, and I was kinda surprised that neither you nor Emperor Tigerstar have done it yet.
Kane Rises What's the "oy one"?
Ollie Bye only*
Kane Rises Ah okay. I'll consider it, anyway.
