Thanks for the video. I live in a place where snow tires are not enough some times, i use chains on all 4. But for the front wheels chains must be thin coz not enough space when driving chains hit the plastic behind the wheel, next to the door, and brakes a small piece of it. So be aware what chain thikness you use on front ones. At the rear no problem.
Great video! Didnt even need the snow. Mud is more universal for everyone over the world, and u really show in this video that they can and should be used for more situations than just snow.
I've just ordered 2 sets of Goodyear 9mm chains for my 2016 duster 4x4. I have snow tyres but we just had some big snow and I got stuck sideways in a ditch and had to be pulled out by a tractor. I said never again and ordered chains. I hope we get some more snow so I can try them out.
Foarte explicit experimentul!
Great video bro,my car BMW x6 2017 xdrive35i only allow me use 2 rear, make me little worry, but after I watched this video feel alot better haha, thanks for your work bro
What would you think for a 2000 F250 Crew Cab with 7.3 liter diesel with only 2X4 no 4x4. So you think rear chains would make a big difference? How did people do it before 4x4 vehicles?
you mean the electro magnetic diff lock? nahh, Duster has a strong one, unlike other crossovers, it needs longer time to burn out. but you do have a point, that should be kept in mind
a very simple, straightforward and revealing demonstration ! brilliant.....one specific question though: I am just a click away from ordering these exact chains but according to Veriga tables, both for 215/60 R17 and 215/65 R16 it directs me to the size C: PC9-120 (not 130?)....can you comment ? Size 120, according to their tables fits both rim/tire sizes......
Thank you very much! Yes, it’s right. You can use the 120 chains on both sizes. Size 130 is for tires that have 215/70 R16. The Cooper Discoverer AT4S has this size. 😁
A Dacia 4x4 is not a 4WD offroader with low gear (4L). If one of the front- or reartires will slipp you will have no more traction an the car will stopp ( How ever if you have no low gear, your tyre will spinn to early an will slipp. In that situation it is difficult to controll the car see 7:30 /8:50). How ever a good sample for the wrong car in such a situation.
Someone asked how to install just a set of chains on the Dacia Duster Trails group on Facebook and I thought I point out the difference in this scenario. 😁

Interesting feedback for automatic 4wheel transmission.
Great video. Keep up the good work.
Thank you
Good video, I learned something , looking forward to order my Dacia Duster after lockdown is over in my country

Foarte bun clipul!
Bellissimo esperimento con le catene da neve. Bravi
Спасибо, очень полезная информация. У меня также есть цепи, но на duster ещё не использовал, буду ставить назадние колёса.
summary: rear axle chains better for going uphill. front for down hill and steering?
front wheel chains for a better braking and maneuver

Hi.
Chains only on the back wheels will kill your 4x4 clutch super fast.
So only on the front or on all 4 wheels.
Good content !

Yes and no.... some are wheel wheel biased. Some don't use clutches. But I do understand your argument. Know your awd system.
on sx4 I burned it in 15minutes of snow drifting full throttle
from my pov 4x4 front wheel chains on for a better braking and maneuver
Hi, are you running on Auto mode or on 4Lock?
Very good question!
Front and rear wheels seem to spin at different speeds, so.... Auto I guess?
Great video!. What size of AT tire you recomend for Duster 4x4? 215/65, 215/70 or 225/65. Thanks
215 both 65 and 70 can be used. 65 is better, you can install bigger chains if need it.
Very interesting video! Thanks a lot.
Is the traction control on? By the wheel stop starts, it looks like. Better to switch off. Interesting though.
In what moment of the video?
*Woow. the entire weight of the vehicle relies on the rear wheels*
Good video 👍👍 Auto or lock ? Esp on or off ??
Thank you! Lock and ESC off.😁
@@DusterCoolTravels Thanks. You can try same selections in heavy mud 🧐👏

Da. Scut aftermarket ce se poate achiziționa de pe mudster.

All I wanted to know whether to put the chains on the front or the back instead you show me a video of yourself
