Going great although the battery drain is bad because I played a game for an hour and I’m already having battery drains because it went from 100 to.12% in just 5 hours
18.3. running much faster than 18.2.1. on 16pro. But I got minimal microstutter especially in scrolling in whatsapp, Instagram, google app but even in appstore. Not in safari respectively I do see the switching moment from 120fps to 60fps when the scrolling slows down. Amazon Music a lot of microstutter.
iOS 18.3 for me has been THE BEST iOS 18 update yet, given that I have only 84% battery health on my iPhone 14 Pro Max it’s literally night and day coming from iOS 18.2 to 18.3 it lasts way more now and doesn’t drain unnecessarily like it used too so definitely I’m not planing to upgrade in near future yet I’m staying in on .3
I’m still experiencing an unresponsive screen when I open an app through notifications like Mail and initialise CarPlay, the touch screen until and restart CarPlay. It’s extremely frustrating.
I think it’s absolutely awesome - and also not as big of a deal as people are making of it. This isn’t some kind of special Apple capability, after all. Apple didn’t have to do *anything* - it’s all just a carrier deal in which Starlink is essentially carrying T-Mobile cell towers on some of their satellites. Yes, T-Mobile rolled it first to some iPhone 16’s, but remember, this is the same direct to cell service that Starlink made available for free to everyone in the hurricane affected areas of NC etc. when regular cell was knocked out.

Bro software updates can’t effect your battery health by any means If you are talking about how the phone’s battery is draining in ios 18.3 then I can say that the battery life has been amazing

I am having trouble with the wallpaper feature on the Lock Screen. I try to long press the Lock Sceen and it doesn’t open the wallpapers so that I can delete any of them. When I long press the screen just eventually goes to sleep. Thank you for your time.
Siri was soooo slow for me on iOS18. Would take ages just to start a timer. And I had the keyboard lag, specifically in Messages. I did a full reset and recovered from back up, no issues with Siri and the keyboard lag has gone! Worth a try if anyone else is having those issues!
I’m loving iOS 18.3. It took longer than I expected to index and for the battery to level out, but once it did things have been very smooth. Apple Intelligence features like Genmoji and Image Playground still absolutely chew through my battery-but it’s been like that since day one on my iPhone 16 Pro Max.
@@joshuaisraelmararang6057 It’s nowhere near as good as my 13 Pro Max used to get, but I’m getting 5-10 hours. It all depends upon what apps are running. For example when something that uses GPS a lot (like DoorDash) is running, my battery usage will go so fast. But if I’m watching UA-cam it’ll be middle of the road. If I do something that uses barely any processor power like write the battery life is crazy good. The one thing this has over my 13PM is standby time. I charge using the 80/20 rule and if I go to bed at 50%, it will only be down to like 46% when I wake up the next day. That’s nuts.
Battery life in 18.3 improved significantly. I even thought my 16 Pro had some battery issue because it only would last one day on 18.2.1 (which isn’t bad, but less than my expectations from a brand new iPhone). Now it’s way better.
Noticed a tiny bug on 18.3 where the home screen wallpaper after a short delay after unlocking the phone changes slightly to a different colour, a bit lighter to what the wallpaper is
Not sure if anyone else is having this bug , but if you have the dark & light theme set as “auto” some of your apps will stay “dark” theme even when it’s morning time .

18.3 has been very smooth for me so I’m happy. Genmoji has been buggier with this version though and I use it often.
@ I have no idea . When I first got the phone a lot of people were having the issue and I contacted apple. They told me to turn my phone off and back on and that the updates would help which it did for a little initially but since iOS 18 it has been back to very unusual heating
I've found frustration with the last beta, I use Voice Over and lately I have issues with the screen reader jumping all over the place at times or acting like a key is stuck when a bluettoth keyboard is turned on, if the keyboard gets turned off the issue goes away this only happens with the accessibility of Voice Over turned on. It's very frustrating as I've reported it to Apple a few times now and it's still not fixed. Another accessability Issue I'm facing that's inconvenient for me, is unable to access folders in the library with Voice Over turned on, both bugs happen in the betas for IOS 18.3 and IpadOS 18.3. I hope they fix it, but I've kept experiencing it through out the whole cycle of beta 3.
There is Wi-fi issue. Even the wifi is connected the device shows “try again” in youtube and all the other apps are not loading until manually get into wi-fi section and disable the wifi and enable it again.

It appears to be running at a low frame rate of around 30 fps instead of 120. But to fix this issue, I have to turn my phone off and then reopen it. Is anyone experiencing similar issues?
I'm on 18.3. I keep getting an issue when replying directly from a Messages notification. if I hold on the notification and reply thru there, when I begin typing it will either freeze and blank out the window, or respring my device.

18.3 fixed my issues with syncing screenshots from my Apple Watch and other photo syncing problems. I was really surprised that iPadOS 18.3 fixed a charging issue with my M2 ipad. So for me, 18.3 is a win.
Ran into a bug. I have Guided access and reduce white point as a quick action for triple tapping my power button. While I had it in guided access with touch off for my kid to watch a video on UA-cam I accidentally brought my other phone to close to it and it tried to do the SharePlay thing and it soft locked the entire phone. I tried triple clicking to get out of guided access and it just did the reduce white point over and over. I had to wait for the phone to die and after I charged it back up it was all good. Very odd thing to happen and extremely situational.

Dev beta 1 releases often lack user-facing features, focusing on background services and APIs for app developers. It also includes unoptimized logging code, reducing perceived battery life. It’s best suited for plugged-in devices.
Why dont I see the animation like you showed when swiping up and down? The only way it shows for me is each time I press the power button to turn on the screen it shows as it changes the look of the image.
One bug still remaining for me is the promotion display on my 16 Pro Max will randomly get stuttery when slowly scrolling, as if it became locked to 10hz. Locking and unlocking the screen fixes it for a while, but it happens around 1-2 times a day.
QUESTION ? :: When I went to update to iOS 18.3. It keeps going into pause while downloading. When I tried restarting it it said it had over an hour to finish downloading. I’ve never had an update be that long. Is this how long it is supposed to be ?? 🤷♀️🤔

In the previous version, 18.2 I had random times where my Iphone 16 pro max did not respond to touch, it wouldn't lag just become unresponsive for a couple of seconds and then go back to normal. When I searched the web for people who had similar issues I found a reddit post talking about it as well. As of 18.3 I have not had any of these issues.
On a IPhone 15pro, i got WiFi reconnect issues and battery life still get worse. Both compared to iOS 18.2.1 where I didn’t have such issues. For me the upgrade to iOS 18.3 sucks.
Initially, I was having a big issue with HomeKit connection between iOS 18.3, watchOS 18.3, and version 18.3 for the HomePod. After an eternity of repeatedly restarting and eventually having to complete reset my two HomePod Minis, it seems to have been resolved. The functionality of all of my HomeKit devices (and my HomePod Minis’ ability to control volume via Siri), not to mention my Apple TV, was severely impaired . . . Thankfully, it seems to be working fine now, but I’ll keep you posted
Apple isn’t part of the T-Mobile/Starlink agreement. They’ve enabled the carrier to include satellite based virtual“cell towers” on beta devices in the list of towers they are allowed to connect to. Starlink used direct-to-cell technology last year to provide cell service in hurricane-stricken North Carolina. It worked for anyone, regardless of carrier or phone manufacturer. I assume non-T-Mobile customers’ phones appeared to roam on T-Mobile towers.
On Apple Watch, the Unity face moves with your wrist and the second hand doesn’t disappear on the series 10. I still have the bug where my AirPods will announce that my suitcase is no longer near me and was last seen at my apartment’s address while it never shows up on my phone.
@@jimscard No unfortunately not, although I reluctantly had to buy my Cyberpunk game twice Once on Xbox and and again on Steam because the service is just really good as long as you are hardlined, also some of the games I owned on Xbox did sync over just not all. It was a good option for me because my Xbox One S is dying and I couldn't afford a new Xbox after I upgraded my dying XS Max. The medium teir performance for the price is a bargain when you compared how much Netflix costs
iOS 18.3 has been a buggy mess on my iPhone 16 Pro. Permanently have stickers (that are no longer on my phone) on my keyboard and in my recent emojis DESPITE the "stickers" setting being turned off for keyboard. Contacted Apple support multiple times and they have no fix...

I also have another problem where whenever I switch all my icons to tinted, the home screen would be a little bit snappy, where it slightly glitches.

After updating to iOS 18.3 and macOS 15.3, iPhone Mirroring no longer works, and there’s no way to make it work again.

Initially, I was having a big issue with HomeKit connection between iOS 18.3, watchOS 18.3, and version 18.3 for the HomePod. After an eternity of repeatedly restarting and eventually having to complete reset my two HomePod Minis, it seems to have been resolved. The functionality of all of my HomeKit devices (and my HomePod Minis’ ability to control volume via Siri), not to mention my Apple TV, was severely impaired . . . Thankfully, it seems to be working fine now, but I’ll keep you posted

It would be awesome if Apple and SpaceX could come to an agreement to use Starlink for emergencies/SOS even if you don't have T-Mobile service.
Apple isn’t part of the T-Mobile/Starlink agreement. They’ve enabled the carrier to include satellite based virtual“cell towers” on beta devices in the list of towers they are allowed to connect to.
Starlink used direct-to-cell technology last year to provide cell service in hurricane-stricken North Carolina. It worked for anyone, regardless of carrier or phone manufacturer. I assume non-T-Mobile customers’ phones appeared to roam on T-Mobile towers.

@@jimscard No unfortunately not, although I reluctantly had to buy my Cyberpunk game twice Once on Xbox and and again on Steam because the service is just really good as long as you are hardlined, also some of the games I owned on Xbox did sync over just not all. It was a good option for me because my Xbox One S is dying and I couldn't afford a new Xbox after I upgraded my dying XS Max. The medium teir performance for the price is a bargain when you compared how much Netflix costs

iOS 18.3 has been a buggy mess on my iPhone 16 Pro. Permanently have stickers (that are no longer on my phone) on my keyboard and in my recent emojis DESPITE the "stickers" setting being turned off for keyboard. Contacted Apple support multiple times and they have no fix...
