Here's the list of errors I'm aware of in the video: (1) B'Rotlh Birds-of-Prey frigate stats: Weapons: 1x Dual Cannons, 1x Single Cannons [all ranks] 1x Photon Torp (rare), replaced by 1x Quantum Torp (at VR & UR) Abilities: Battle Cloak, CRF 1/2/3, Torpedo High Yield 1/2/3 (2) T6 Kolasi has a hanger bay, while the T5 does not -- so the T6 version (C-Store or Fleet) is what you need to purchase to get the Nausicaan Stinger Fighters. (3) D'kyr has a secondary deflector now (and listed in the STO Wiki as such). This is really cool, as this wasn't specifically listed there when I made my Classes Explained videos in the past. (4) The Squadron hanger pets are available from the fleet (or New Romulus Rep for the Scorpion variation). Getting one of these starships is unneeded for that. (5) The first starships with secondary deflectors were the T5 Dyson Science Destroyers (prior to Delta Rising). Secondary deflectors were added to most science starships a little after Delta Rising launched, with escort heavy weapons (later experimental weapons) added in 2017.
@@deathiscomingforyou6744 Based on all the info and discussions I've seen, you should only buy these if you like the ship design. If you just want to have a carrier, the flight deck carriers (eg Discovery Enterprise) are way better since they're cruisers plus two hangers. Feds can use the Jem'Hadar ship, yep. It's visible in the Spacedock ship purchasing screen in the very last spot on the ship list.
Yeah anyone can use Dominion ships straight away if they don't have the account-unlock in their mastery. If they have that, you have to master the ship on a JH alt first.
@@tenalpoen That was only required for the ships that launched with the Jem'Hadar story, I had to grind an ugly ass toon for quite awhile, and I think Red Alerts had been cancelled because I remember flying around doing patrols, or I might be misremembering.
It always perplexes me how Cryptic works on projects like this for months then at date of release they sometimes only release generalized information instead of specifics, or aspirations to complete & patch a work-in-progress. Good tidbit for KDF-aligned about the Nausicaan Stingers, thanks. The Plesh Brek Frigates with the Sarr Theln is really nice if available. I just figured that Cryptic was going to "copy & paste" these Squadrons from the Tactical Attack Flyers. Good idea on the "switch-out" of the console. The Support Carriers do look good though.
Historically, the first Secondary Deflectors to come out were before Delta Rising; the ships that introduced them to the game were the Solanae Dyson Destroyers. Their transformation mechanic made a point to reveal the secondary deflector, or no (in which case, a pair of dual heavy cannons were revealed). It was said that they wanted to make this a broad change to other science vessels... if they found that this new item panned out to their expectations. Delta Rising came out, but the first science ships to come with, the Scryer and the Dauntless, lacked the Secondary Deflector. It was only when the Pathfinder-class came out a couple of months later that the Secondary Deflector was then applied. That was in November 2014. The Jupiter carrier launched a year later, in November 2015. The adjustment to escorts came much later, and was first introduced in limited fashion with the Allied Escorts (Shikaris, Hathos, Slithus) in March 2017. Experimental Weapons were then released in a subsequent patch a bit further along the road. Whereas the "Carrierpocalypse" happened in Late July 2019, where Flight Deck Cruisers became Flight Deck "Carriers" and made all normal carriers obsolete-on-arrival save for a few, very limited perks depending on which premium fighters/frigate (that were 'real' carrier-only)a player had on hand.
The irony of all these new carriers coming out was that while I didn't find what I was looking for in them that I did find it in something I already had: the Jupiter-class carrier. I actually find more to like in it now. :)
Just a quick note, because I think you missed it, or maybe you didn't and I missed it on the vid, but Romulan Scorpion Squadrons are available with the ultra rare "elite" versions in the Reputation store just like standard Scorpions. So for those without a fleet, or whose fleet isn't high enough level, they can get the Elite version of those pets at least. Also, if you want access to specific hanger pets you need to own the ship AND have it in your list of active ships, or your dry dock. If you have bought the ship but then discharge it to free up a slot, the pets will no longer be available in the store (although you keep any you already have). To buy more you will have to reclaim the ship again. For this reason my drydocks are more or less full of various carrier ships so i can get the pets if I feel the need later.
Question: Is it possible to fire on someone's else's pet while they're in orbit like sol etc. I came across a ship who deployed a space pet that was highlighted Red for target. I shot it while inside so next to space Dock. With full phasers and shield hits the target just vanishes. It happened again at DS9 and other locations how do you deploy a enemy active pet one that any ship can fire on?
The Rom ship suppose to have battle cloak but mine still not show it. I am running the elite frigates and fighter squadrons. So far my frigates don't die, but the squadrons do at a very high rate. I will be changing up some aspects of the carrier as to weps and traits. Took two complete Voth Bastion fleets out by myself though :)
I'm not sure if this is a bug or if Cryptic just forgot but the Universe Temporal Heavy Dreadnought Cruiser with 2 hangar bays cannot equip the new support frigate hangar pets.
@@dreadnought-ai That would be a weird reason not to give the Universe ship the ability to equip the new support frigate hangar pets. Not only does the Universe ship have two hangar bays, but in its starship mastery, it also has quick deployment like flight deck carriers and the new support carriers, both which can equip the new support frigate hangar pets. If that doesn't make the ship be considered as "full carriers" then I don't know what does.
I have a small question with hanger pets weapon types. Do there weapon type get the secondary effect the normal weapon that come on player ships? Like phaser pets have the offline effect in play?
You did not mention some elite pets are WORSE than their lower counterparts because the added abilities actually nerf the dps of the lower ones... Lost souls is one example.
I mean is it that bad? is the lowered DPS not worth for all your Lost Souls to have a mini GW? So with 12 of them casting that ability pulling things into them and having a AOE attack wouldn't that be the payoff?
Could have sworn the kdf bop pets from the Vo'quv had the raider flanking, but I could just be misremembering and mistaking that for the decloak buff instead. unless they changed that while I took my extended vacation from STO
