- The 2021 Anniversary Legendary Bundle is riddled in controversy, and is clearly a lessened value vs the starship bundle from last year's anniversary (4 ships this year vs 10 ships last year, while having the same rough price point on sale). How good are the ships, and are they worth it enough to get the bundle? That's up to you.

As expected, Cryptic Studios made more changes to the stats of the starships: twitter.com/trekonlinegame/status/1361768516932706304
Meaningful TLDR thus far of changes -- the Ambassador class has a 1.485 hull ratio & Cmdr/INT & LtCmdr/TO now instead of TO & CMD. Basically, it is a 4/4 account-unlock version of the Vengeance-class (minus the access to DHC's, a hanger bay, & the 5/3 the vengeance has). Since we already have a meaningful & better account-unlock replacement of the vengeance class via the Legendary Galaxy-X (in a cheaper legendary bundle), and there is a similar Cmdr/INT cruiser via the Fleet Eclipse INT (battle)crusier available to be earned -- it is up to you all as to if the changes is enough to get the bundle.
Got the bundle, but not for the changes to the Ambassador class, but because of the Repulse. The Repulse changes made it a bit more usable than I found the Legendary Sovereign to be, but then again, I got basically 3 ships that I won't fly often from this bundle. The Vorcha was nice, but I find Klingon ships more functional in survivability and less visually pleasing to see or fly regularly. Therefore, I'm glad they included the Legendary Excelsior.
Problem with the Repulse though is, the neck... Most of the pieces will fit no matter what version of the excelsior you plan to fly. But the neck of the repulse won't fit unless you use the Saucer and Hull of the Repulse... Talk about lock in.
The "That's a Big Ship" seems to be currently bugged sadly. But it needs to be combined with History will Remember and/or Honored Dead to really work with survival. But I can tell I lose a considerable amount of Critical Hit Chance when I take it off, probably because of the reduction in Hull and its impact on Tyler's Duality. But if you plan to tank, "That's a Big Ship" works wonders. It combined with the Threatening Stance's boost to HP will get you near the cap on HP for Tyler's Duality somewhat easily.
I love your outside the box thinking. STO should hire you as a consultant to make better decisions about sales and packages on the Zen store. Thank you for your ideas and thoughtful videos!
The original legendary bundle, the base version, at full price was 30,000 zen for 10 ships, which is 3k zen per ship. I will always hold them to that price for legendary ships.
The price is besides the issue I wanted a KDF bundle. I don’t care what last year’s bundle was named it was Fed bundle. Once again KDF gets screwed as we finally get a legendary KDF ship (even the Rommies already have one) but it’s in a very expensive bundle and questionable BoP which is kind of unforgivable with how iconic that ship is.
Yup. Cryptic makes shitty Klingon bundle which doesn't sell well. Then Cryptic will use this as an example to say Klingon stuff doesn't sell and not address the root issue.
Who knew that Cryptic could unite so many of us together with such a bundle, albeit, from a somewhat negative perspective. Cryptic gave the B'rel puny stats, it's subpar overall. The Excelsior has solid stats & has MW going for it, it's decent to good overall. The Vor'cha with it's new improved turn-rate, stats & weapon layout is very solid, it's good overall. The Ambassador lacks innovation with not very good stats, I think it's trying to compete with the B'rel for worse ship of the bundle. Cryptic still hasn't revealed what Worf's traits are neither. Not buying this bundle.

The fact that they even think that paying $250 for space pixels is under priced is insane. Then again, we have people paying tens of thousands for internet space ships in Star Citizen.... I guess there's a big over lap between Star Citizen whales and STO whales.

An amazing, thorough anaysis. I will be waiting for better bundles. Where is the D7 and Negvar? Hopefully later on as well as a leg Shimitar. If it is same cost as the leg Mirror GalX that will be worth it. Making Lobi items acount reclaimable is a great idea you put out there.
If Cryptic added ALL 4 of your 'sweeteners', then, with 12 toons, I'd be interested as not all of them have those meta traits and doffs. As this won't be happening and the Vorcha is the only half decent ship, I'll be giving this bundle a wide berth, despite the fact I have 19K Zen that was saved up for a KDF Legendary bundle. I'll buy a Legendary D7 with some of it IF the bundle is not too full of filler crap for the price.

Account unlockable Bioneural is probably the best idea ever for this game. Getting all the lobi consoles you want on all your toons is basically impossible for someone who doesn't want to/can't throw money at the game. I know they have done bonus lobi events but it still doesn't help. I still want stuff for my main instead of being able to spend my lobi on alts.
I am really on the fence for this one, the 4 ships +2 coupons(which I can actually use for stuff I still want, because I was waiting for this release) and the lobi+worf(if he is account unlock) is only slightly over price for me(on the sale price). but the ships are so underwhelming and I already own the kor(plus the lower tiers so I got the skins) I own the Cross Faction Support Cruiser bundle so I own 2 more ships out of this and that is where it hurts, now stat wise the Vor'Cha is a massive improvement being 5/3 with a battlecloak but it still kind of hurts
I was saving for this...maybe if there worf is account unlockable and really good it could still help make it for me, but I still need the Discovery bundle
Interesting. Thank you for digging through all the nonsense. Sounds to me like Cryptic knows the bundle is garbage and deliberately kept the D7 out of it because they wanted to give it to us in a good legendary bundle. From my perspective they want this to fail so they can go back to PWE and say, "Stop telling us how to do our job."
The only thing that’s tempting for me is the friggin’ holographic Worf.
I was saving for it but now I don’t want to get it. There is very little in there that’s good and too much crossover with old stuff I already have. It basically boils down to 18000zen for a vor’cha plus junk, some fluff and stuff I already have. To me the 2 fed ships in this pack aren’t as good as any of the 10 ships in last years pack. It’s like leftovers from last year or an afterthought.
I probably would have got this at a lower price without the token stuff added but since I don't NEED ships the token stuff kind of makes it not worth to spend the extra.
Do they come with a new bridges or at least the correct bridges for them

Dang, I'm doing a double-posting. Was the 10th anniversary bundle underpriced? Possibly yes, but a trade-off for a better cost value was the big upfront price-tag where this 11th anniversary bundle retains the big upfront cost, but doesn't offer the quantity of ships & in a couple of cases subjectively lesser quality of ships. I still think this bundle will sell, but there does seem to be a majority disapproving of this bundle. Cryptic does seem to be getting stagnant with STO & unable to peer outside their echo-chamber.

only way this bundle is economically viable is that the legendary brell has both withering barrage and the go for the throat traits to it. No way in hell, because of the promo/lobi status of the JH ship, but for me that would be a buy. Other that that i think i will pass. 230 euros is way too much for it. "the 10th bundle was underpriced" - respectfully I disagree, the correct price on it (i payed 19k zen for it) would have been 15. The fair base price should have been 13k for the whole crapload or 8-9k for only the 4 ships.
When you talk about the support frigates, which ones are you using the most? The Romulan ones seem to cloak and decloak quite a bit and sometimes don't engage. Are the catian a better bet? Elite ones for all the captain abilities?
The Jem'Hadar Support Frigates are the best ones; dps doesn't change much for the frigates between advanced & elite, but elite frigates do give you sensor scan -- which increases damage for torpedo & exotic builds, so is a great improvement for your team. As for squadron pets with cannons, generally going with the advanced versions are best (as one of the cannons typically turn into a turret at elite, which is a dps decrease).

Problem with adding a lot of extra stuff is that it makes you feel your paying for that. and if it is something you can not or will not use, then it feels like you throwing away money.
Are they going to bring back the 1st legendary bundle for purchase as well? Because I missed that due to being totally broke at the time.
Probably will for Black Friday or similar "big sale" event.
my thing is this SHOULD HAVE INCLUDED a legendary Negh'Var. IT IS WELL overdue at this point and cryptic just continues to play hookie
Out of all the starfleet ships to add to the game they chose the ambassador and excelsior? They could have spiced up this bundle with a yeager class or USS Raven (Aerie-class) I would even have loved a oberth class!! For the Klingons no d7 it is some kind of crime to not include a d7 or Negh'Var blasphemies!!!!

Which Alliance Raider Ship are you talking about that has 4 Fore & 4 Aft Weapons? Right now the Event T6 Alliance Raider has 5 Fore & 1 Aft Weapons or at least that's what the description says. If it matters I'm on the Xbox Series X.

Only one ship i wanted from this. This was supposed to be year of the Klingon....Where are the Legendary Klingon Ships?
I don't own any of the c store ships in this bundle, so you would think the value proposition for me would be more favourable. Even for someone like me, this is a hard pass.

For what you get I don't think the price is good. Way too high just for digital 1's and 0's. I just got my event KDF to lvl 65 and still not allowed to buy some ships or use some of the ones my other chars get to use. So I wonder what they actually mean, because I see them as having lied about the ships you can use. I working towards a Fleet Silik FDAC. Last years bundle was overpriced too.
What ships can’t you use?
Kael has twisted the truth in the past so I very much doubt that PWE told them that. It would be more in line with past things that PWE said it needs to be 25k zen and Emmerson said to limit it to only these 4 ships and to spread the other ships that would have been in it, like the D7, to other bundles later. I do not trust anything kael says anymore because he has a bad track record of never actually telling the complete truth.
These new bundles are way expensive... so they are automatic no buy :)
The best update they could have done for it, would be to give 4 science consoles instead of 4 engineer consoles. That way the commander universal would be worth it. This would make it super unique and flexible raider. Even if it didn't have 5 forward weapons. It might be better then some scout ships.
Why not to design updated 4 science consoles vs. engineering consoles, then you'll clear which one is better or fits in the battlecruiser or research vessel, etc.

lol...many interstellar MEGA CORPORATION are not similar to current capitalism controlled monetary system, because you need to consider interstellar trade situation and galactic neighbors preference regarding overseas(galactic sea) secondary markets.
They are out of their mind if they think I will be stupid enough to buy this. I bought the Fed Legendary pack. However this is a total rip off.
