Interesting I had bought the khopesh tac warbird with my free ship coupon and Tier 6x upgrade. I already have Scimitar tier 5 consoles now im deciciding how to get the most out of my khopesh i my replace the secondary shields for the dynamo console.

I do t have any of the Scimitars, so I’ll be getting this pack. The D’deridex is my favorite Romulan ship. I was hoping for a 5/3 layout.
Be happy with the miracle worker. With mixed armaments, you'll have a heavy Turret firing forwards to use up your last aft slot anyway.
As a relatively casual player, I have the T6 flagship bundle and I'm fine with continuing to use those versions of the Odyssey and Scimitar. Gonna pass on this Romulan bundle and keep waiting for a Legendary Bortasqu' flagship.
this pack was kind of soul crushing, as a player who owns every romulan ship I really want to buy this.... but that price.... I own every other item in this pack sigh....
All I wanted was a D'dex that was at least fun to fly. And turn 5 isn't fun. Hell at this point below turn 7 is iffy for me. I love how it looks but it's not worth giving up cruiser commands (which patch up other cool looking cruisers weaknesses) and the bad power levels of a sing core.
I think they had to do the Deridex crap, because the legendary Enterprise is like that, and they had this as a reference. You cant make the Leg Deridex better than the Leg Enterprise.
edit. ok not crap. but MW warbirds are better and are there for years. i was just disappointed :)
A lot of the extra bits of the pack is certainly something that feels unneeded, since people who are fans of the Romulans generally all have that stuff. Good to get people in to the faction, however, I guess. But for the rest of use it feels like we are paying a lot of money for something we are not going to be able to use since we already got it. It leaves a sour experience. The more stuff one adds to a pack like that, the more it feels like you getting ripped off.
The way I would fix such a thing is to:
A. Look over what is being added so it provides what feel like value for the players. In the past adding Lobi store outfits as full account unlocks have been a good example when it comes out outfits. Zen store outfits, not so much. Just to give an example.
B. Split it in to two options. A deluxe package, which is a bit more expensive with a lot of the extra stuff. And a more spars package with just the neat stuff you do not have unlocked. (New ships, Lobi store outfits now account unlocked, Special items now account unlocked, and so on)
Of course, they may feel like they can simply milk the whales. And that is true. They likely can. At least to a point. But buying a package always feels like you getting taken advantage of. Always feels like there is a sour note to it. Then people will stop buying in the end and move on. It is smart to make buying feel like a fun experience.
I really like the D'Deridex. It handles a lot better than I expected it would.
Thanks for the great comparison video! I was considering the bundle at first (I love both ships in-universe) but yeah, I just can't bring myself to pay for lukewarm quality. Total bummer. I'm sorry to hear about your neighbour, I hope you stay safe & healthy!
Yay! I have wanted these ships as Legendary for so long! But... I hope they just do not make them crap. D'deridex is my favourite ship from TNG. But I sometimes feel like it rather unloved on STO :(
Honestly it feels like the devs hate TNG in general. All the iconic TNG ships are rather weak.
@@EimiShahrizai I do not think that is the case. The spend a lot of time with making them look accurate. It might maybe be that just the game designers hate TNG however. :P
(I doubt it. But is not like in the past where the actually where important devs involved that did not care for Star Trek. And it showed in how they handled certain aspects, making the game feel less Star Trek and more generic science fiction.)
Still one of the best bundles. One of the best traits along with one of the best ships. No regrets on getting this.
Well, I was excited about this bundle. At least I'm excited about the Thrai Dreadnought Warbird, and I hope to see a new Mudd's bundle in the future.
If not owning a DD & a Scimi I could see this bundle being an appealing value. That's not my situation so this bundle is less enticing. The new visuals look nice, but not sure if the Lego stats are higher enough compared to what I own to purchase. Not a fan of paying for something twice. The DD is better since Cryptic upped its stats. I find the Scimi a bit flat. Cryptic is missing an opportunity to upgrade the Thalaron Pulse feature. But I'm still upset Cryptic didn't include the H.M.S. registry for the Lego B'rel too. What's your Bortasqu' theory??? Sorry to hear about your neighbor, you & yours stay as safe as possible too.

I should also mention the inertia of the legendary scimitar. Its only 30 but thats still miles ahead of the old 20 which would drift for such insane distances you had to exit full impulse far before reaching your target. I alsp didnt have the d’deredix, so i went ahead and got the pack, although the d’deredix is definently a very bricky ship, and imo not as good as the scimitar. But 70% i got it for the scimitar wven though i already had all the t6 ships, and im very pleased overall with the pack.

So the scimitar totally carries the pack and its a bigger improvement over the old ones for some. The 30 inertia means it accelerates and decelerates miles better, and doesnt drift excessively. While some may love the old drifting, its not very practical for everything. The new scimitars improved inertia combined with its much better turning makes it far easier to handle overall. In fact i managed to get the ship to 100 impulse and 40 degree turning(some rcs consoles, emergency power to engines), and polaric module for extra inertia i found it very, very easy to fly. Combined with its insane versatility its basically like a very big and slower raider without the raider bonus. And the leg scimitar flagship consoles are course, phenomenal consoles.
The d’deredix, i flew it some for the trait, i found it’s slow turn pretty much meant i had to do a beam array setup whether i wanted to or not. I never got the original d’deredix and could never imagine flying it. It felt like a bonus ship for the pack. It’s agility reminds me of flying the legendary odyssey which i think is a better ship overall, and thats a far better ship. The legendary d’deredix does have good inertia, but its still outclassed by the original miracle warbirds in exchange for a minimal durability increase, and i agree they are better ships.
I still find the d’deredix actually much more flyable than the old one though. Theres a massive difference in performance between a 5 turn and a 6 turning ship.
Even though there are many difference between T6 and T5 series of cruisers, you still have your version to improve technical equipments among science cruiser, flagship, battle cruiser, and balanced sovereign ships.
Why not to design your series of vessels…
I'll be flying the dderidex with NSB3, MAS3 and a more accessible full aux to batt than the Scimitar. Intel doesn't boost the Scimitar much and command abilities still suck after update. Broadsiding it is for scimitards. Feels like 2016 again.
was wondering, is it still good to buy lifetime subscript. or should i just skip it. just found the game 1 month ago.
I have a lifetime subscription, but would advise against it. The only nice things about it nowadays are the lifetime uniforms (1 per faction) and 500 zen/month (only on PC version). If you find you really like the game, many of us now advise to wait for when the 10 ship legendary bundle shows up again and buying that on sale -- as that is about the same price and you get more for your money.
So they, like one month later releasing a legendary miranda….

Most likely going to pass on this bundle. Never was a huge fan of the D'deridexs and I have both T5&T6 Scmitar bundles. Now if Cryptic gave us a discount for having the earlier versions of these legendary ships.... but who am I kidding, right?

I've been waiting for a new MW warbird for years...but this is what they give us? Ugh. I'm just going to stick with my Legendary Sovy for my Fed Rom.
