Heyy, have to do record a podcast about Saint Lucia for school. May I ask what Saint Lucians think about the Commonwealth? Btw your country is beautiful☺️
@@abbylewis7976 of course. What I meant was do you like to be part of the Common wealth or would you rather leave? And why are you part of the Common wealth? Because the Britons conquered Saint Lucia so for what reason did your country choose to join the Common wealth?
@@Amelie-ij1oz this is heavily based on my opinion but there was much to gain from being part of commonwealth. I think of it this way. Britain, the mother nation and St. Lucia, the independent young adult. St. Lucia joined the other sibling countries in commonwealth and they benefit from each other. There is a great process to gaining absolute independence from Britain. Just look at how Barbados intends to become a republic. But the real question is ...would you leave what you are accustomed to for the unknown and without a plan? At the moment, I believe breaking ties with the commonwealth will negatively affect St. Lucia's economy. BTW if you wish to continue picking my brain u can reach me on Instagram @chern_goring
Hello Geography Now,I have been following the series from the time you posted the Australia episode!thanks so much for being such a great part of my life
Actually there are some aspects of St Lucia which resembles Mauritius. Both were french and British colonies. Both were conveted by them for its strategic and key point position in their regions. Both have their own creole. Both have broadly same economic pillars. Both have same environmental issues. And other minor stuffs that ive noticed.
As a Swedish person who celebrates st. Lucia day harder than anyone else, I'll say that this, this is a glorious country. Hope there's glögg and pepparkakor there at least...
Having visited several years ago and spent all of my time with the locals, I can say that St. Lucia is a beautiful, happy little country. I loved every minute, and would happily return.
Much love from Pakistan to people of Saint Lucia :) Darren Sammy this month got honorary citizenship of Pakistan for his amazing work to bring back Cricket in Pakistan. And Happy Birthday to Hannah and congratulations for the gift.
@@xi-themassmurderer5356 As a Muslim myself, I think Buddhism is more peaceful. Islam's concept is peaceful. But, the people are too religious. Being "too religious" is a really bad idea in the 20th century. (no offense).
Remember the Baltic Twins? There are literally like St. Lucia and Dominica 🇩🇲. Sometimes it's really difficult to tell the people apart based on the accents. And We almost speak the same type of French-Creole too.
Thanks Barby and team. Mum's side of the family is from St. Lucia. Looking forward to going this year. Gonna see if I can tick off all the places you went.

As an Australian I have to say that Kaleb actually does a half-decent Aussie accent. Fun fact: there's a suburb in the the city I live in (Brisbane) called St. Lucia and it has a direct connection to the island. "St. Lucia derived from William Alexander Wilson property after he purchased Dart's Coldridge Plantation in 1882 and renamed it The St Lucia Sugar Plantation. Wilson was born in St Lucia in the West Indies and the cane plantation reminded him of the plantations in his country of birth." - QLD Gov Archives Also the bird pictured at 8.59 is a Rainbow Lorikeet, which is native to eastern and southern Australia. Luv ya work guys
That Birthday setup and Hannah's reaction, that was one of the most adorable things I've ever seen. Happy Birthday Hannah and Great Video! Really makes me want to go to St. Lucia!

13:57 The Madras Dress is from Madras cloth pattern/material, which was originally from the city of Madras, India and its surrounding areas. That city is called Chennai now. • Jesus became a man, came into the world, taught; He suffered and died on the cross for all, so that now we can have a second chance to be reconciled to God and be saved through Jesus Christ, who gave his life dele for us.
• Jesus loves all mankind, is risen and can save you from eternal damnation and give you eternal salvation. Jesus will return to seek those who have accepted him in their hearts.

Heyy, have to do record a podcast about Saint Lucia for school. May I ask what Saint Lucians think about the Commonwealth?
Btw your country is beautiful☺️
@@Amelie-ij1oz Thanks for the compliment. You will need to be more specific when u ask what we think.

And other minor stuffs that ive noticed.
manu Perou is the Kreyol intelligible between both Nations?

Having visited several years ago and spent all of my time with the locals, I can say that St. Lucia is a beautiful, happy little country. I loved every minute, and would happily return.

Remember the Baltic Twins? There are literally like St. Lucia and Dominica 🇩🇲. Sometimes it's really difficult to tell the people apart based on the accents. And We almost speak the same type of French-Creole too.
I am Grenadian and it is sad because our Elders arw refusing to teach people patois so they are dyeing with the language
I'm a Lucian and sometimes I've confused a Dominican for a Lucian because the accent is so close.
Yes my mums cousin is from Dominica and they can speak to each other in patrois and understand each other. Love my Dominican 🇩🇲 cousins ❤❤❤

Fantastic video, would love to visit St Lucia one day! Heard so many amazing things and this video absolutely confirms it. 🇱🇨
Wilson was born in St Lucia in the West Indies and the cane plantation reminded him of the plantations in his country of birth." - QLD Gov Archives
Also the bird pictured at 8.59 is a Rainbow Lorikeet, which is native to eastern and southern Australia.
