So Stanzi, his girlfriend, comes up with the idea of putting the letter and the composition in the "Hörnchen" of the Kaiser because she knew the Hörnchen will be eaten by the Kaiser because her aunt is purveyor to the court. She could not know that Wilhelm II instead of Franz Josef would get the Hörnchen. But this is the scene you can watch here. Stanzi by the way was played by Romy Schneider and the aunt by her mother Magda Schneider, who was Hitlers favourite actress. Romy made her first Sissy-movie the same year.

Those who loved this film extract would equally love the Sissi trilogy about the courtship and marriage of Elisabeth and Franz Joseph. Romy Schneider, who was only eighteen when the first film was made is absolutely enchanting and beautiful and Karlheinz Böhm who plays Franz Joseph makes him human and shows his deep love for Elisabeth. The actress who plays Franz Joseph's domineering mother, the Archduchess Sophie is very good. The trilogy ends in1867, and takes considerable liberties with history but is beautifully shot in rich colour with lavish production values. For films over sixty years old they are still very enjoyable and capture something of the love between Elisabeth and Franz Joseph before the failure of the marriage and the tragedies that overtook them.
I think Netflix have tried to replicate this with "The Empress" as well but having seen both I can certainly say that the originals are worth a watch too

Thats cause such anime despite their ridicules character designs and plotlines take a lot of inspirations from Europe Imperial past, Japanese Imperial past was pretty much similar, a lot of over the top splendour. We are just too used to see black and white images of it, but once you add colour to it, its all suddenly far more real.

The actress who plays Franz Joseph's domineering mother, the Archduchess Sophie is very good. The trilogy ends in1867, and takes considerable liberties with history but is beautifully shot in rich colour with lavish production values. For films over sixty years old they are still very enjoyable and capture something of the love between Elisabeth and Franz Joseph before the failure of the marriage and the tragedies that overtook them.
I think Netflix have tried to replicate this with "The Empress" as well but having seen both I can certainly say that the originals are worth a watch too

Royal protocol was that no one started eating before the sovereign (in this case Franz Joseph), and everyone had to stop eating once the sovereign stopped. Plus, he was the first one served. Franz Joseph was known for being a fast eater. Even state banquets rarely lasted longer than 20 minutes. If you were at the end of the table (last one served) you probably had one, maybe two, bites before your plate was whisked away. The other aspect of royal meals at that time was food would often arrive cold, as it was such a long way from the kitchen to the grand dining rooms.

The Austrians used to have a great Empire similar to the Koreans, now the Austrians and Koreans have been brought down to a Rump State. The Austrians considered themselves Germans for a long time and were overshadowed by their German Brothers, The Koreans once considered Chinese were always overshadowed by the Chinese, and now the Koreans don't consider themselves Chinese and the Austrians don't consider themselves Germans. Its more of a like, "We are in the same situation as the Austrians, the were so cool.". By the end of his visit, Wilhelm was so humiliated and embarrassed that he really went off back home about toppling the British Empire. No, the troll dissing didn't cause the War, but Wilhelm was so unstable mentally that he just couldn't properly handle the power he'd been handed.

I don't think Wilhelm had to fight for his parents love, furthermore, he was the favourit grandson of queen Victoria.
