Chess Concert Stockholm 1984 - part 4. Elaine Paige - Tommy Körberg - Murray Head - Barbara Dickson - Karin Glenmark - London Symphony Orchestra - Conducted by Anders Eljas
but we go on pretending stories like ours have happy endings.... Tim Rice was on top as well. Beautiful lyrics throughout the whole piece... ! this version is soooo wonderful, I still got goosebumps and tears in my eyes. even after 36 years listening to it on record and watching this video.... Benny's piano version is very emotional as well.
Tremendous. Glad to see Karen Glenmark called downstage for bows and congratulations from colleagues. And…. Is that Barbara Dickson taking a bow? Suddenly recovered? Tommy Körberg doesn’t seem to be interacting with her, or even looking at her, at all. Inquiring minds want to know the back story!
This particular concert was an abridged version; most of the pieces from the original album were dropped to make it shorter. This one just had the “showstoppers”.

So fantastic!!!!!
The Best version ever!
Thanks for uploading!!
Murray Head is a god
Agreed, best version... How would this musical turned out if ABBA's "The Winner Takes It All" would have been one of the final songs?!
Maybe it could have been sung by Svetlana to Anatoly?
❤
Where's "One Night In Bannock"?
