Great ride guys! Top tip for gravel events, try and keep left as much as possible, this allows the hitters to pass safely on the right and reduces incident risk hugely. Bring on the 312!

One thing I think, sleeping bag makers have thermal down to a science. You can buy bags targeted to specific temperature ranges, from heavy insulation for Arctic camping to light and airy. And I'll confirm, the heavy bags are toasty warm! For couples, you can get two rectangle shaped bags and zip them together to make a big "two person" bag. I'm sure this will serve you better than a regular blanket when sleeping outdoors.

Often it's much harder to stop when you should than to push on and do something silly, we all know you could have done the 200km but the chance of an injury would have been greater and you might have just exhausted you too much for a full recovery for the 312. You still did a really big (gravel) ride and you will be in great shape for next weekend. You can be proud!

I joined my first proper gravel ride this weekend. LOVED IT, it was technically challenging but I loved pushing myself more in a brain way than anything else, it was seriously off road. Only thing is it’s the first time I did proper off-road on my gravel bike not mtb and by the end I had so much pain in my left wrist from braking on the descents, any tips to avoid this? Also had a bad experience with one of the other riders basically nothinging me and being really condescending and. Rude because I was female and young (though I’m not as young as I look) and I don’t earn enough, which has made me anxious to join again.

130k instead of 200 is not a problem at all. It was your first event. The people with experience and technique make it look easy but you have probably spent at least the amount of energy of a 200k. I'm also not very confident on the loose stuff and will be absolutely exhausted by the end of it. My problem is death-gripping the bars. Wrong thing to do but I can't help it!!

Give yourself a bit more credit Amy, you rode off road really well and more importantly stayed safe. Kyle’s bunny hopping every where, someone must have promised him a free beer 🍺

130km in gravel must be twice as far on road maybe three or four times the distance. Because you dont have the natural rolling speed that you get on nice hard road..And you dont worry about falling off on road like on the muddy sections!... Can we give a PROPS to that Three Wheel disabled guy doing the Hand Pedals! WOW imagine how hard that would be!

I’m with Kyle, no point riding off road if you’re not doing skids
