I recommend Gel fingerless gloves for warmer weather, they really protect your palms from falls! I always wear gloves...I speak from experience😉I was waiting for you to pull the kitchen sink out of your bags😂Another beautiful ride, its a shame about Kyle's accident but luckily it wasn't a bad one😊
From my vantage point, a world away on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, you two are absolutely living the dream. What a luxury it would be to have all of Europe's cycling at your doorstep. Thank-you so much for sharing your adventures. I know it's a cliche, but I live vicariously through you. +1 for wearing cycling gloves, especially if you need to use your hands to make a living.
After the 600K and this I have huge admiration for Kyle's sheer grit. Something like this can really put a cloud over a trip and you both just get on with it.
For a first aid kit, we bought an outdoor kit in a waterproof pouch then added some vet wrap which is flexible, self sticky and multi functional, some large wound pads and a small eye wash. The kit got modified to include vet wrap and extra pads after dealing with a fellow cyclist because there was a lot more blood and abrasions than I expected from such a small spill. Vet wrap and wound pads are my advice for extras. Also, gloves 😊
Job well done gang ,Kyle,s first thought when slipping off ,is the bike alright , Oasis !!!! , Orangina is better, but as i mentioned in part one , How lovely and empty the roads are and the countryside is super. enjoyed , keep safe Paul.
Sorry to hear of the boy wonders accident - he’s trouper and well done for getting right back on it Kyle. GLOVES ALWAYS please. I do and it helped when I had a bad fall. Onwards ! Thanks for sharing as always
Nice one Kyle for pedalling on. Gloves do help a bit, I always use gloves from the many crashes I had in the past. Those villages in France are beautiful, so peaceful.
Really feel for Kyle, I had the exact same thing last year I had just done my first ever 50 mile ride and two miles from home there was a ford that hardly had any water in so I went through, straight away the bike went sideways I came off burnt a hole in my bibs, ripped my jersey and had cuts and bruises all over me 😫 shook me up but made me more determined. Thankfully I had gloves otherwise it would have been worse. Keep up the great content.
Glad Kyle was ok.. definitely worth wearing gloves guys.. I’ve come off a few times over the years and gloves saved me every time 👍👍🚴🏻🚴♀️great ride and adventure.. Pete
Hope alls ok Kyle, not good when anyone comes off the "horse", hideous crash today in the final stretch of the TDF. May the cycling gods watch over you both. Nice beaver ☀️ 🇫🇷 🐦 🐦
Lovely sunny rides. Kyle please please get yourself on the list for an MRI scan for that knee. I ignored knee pain for ages and ended up weeks off the bike and two knee operations. And both of you wear gloves!!!
Kyle's toughened by the bricks skin coming in clutch but I would recommend getting a little packable first aid kit, doesn't have to be massive, just a couple bits and bobs. Would be worth taking on the longer rides, Amazon has some cycling specific ones that are a bit more focused rather than having absolutely everything.
Gloves do help in a crash, but I rarely find gloves that fit my hands properly. I do occasionally find a pair that fit, and I use them for a while. But at some point they’re discontinued, and I have to go without until I find the next pair that fit.
Could have been so much worse, stuck in the middle of nowhere with a broken bike. So the bike has been well christened now but all part of cycling. Great miles and lovely scenery.
Shame for Kyle 😢 but glad he completed the day. Always difficult to get back on the bike after a fall. I fell off in Tuscany recently and still got a sore hip 😂
Heyy guys...another awesome vid. Like most, i highly recommend gloves & a small first aid pack. Both have saved me many times. You should consider some small cage type "pannier" bags that clip to your front forks. Can hold extra water, or take some weight off the back to even out the load...especially for your 1000 + milonies trip. Hope Kyle is doing okay. Love and best wishes from Sydney, Australia. 🫶🚴🚴🫶
When you get gloves, consider the lighter _unpadded_ ones. Some (like me) find the bulky gel / foam types cause more irritation than they're worth. They still protect from scrapes just fine.
I never go through fords anymore, not since a friend of mine came off and broke his hip… Hope you don’t have any lasting damage, Kyle. Stay safe and enjoy TdF.
Poor Kyle, hope he was ok in the morning! Good ride, enjoyed it. I don’t know how you manage so many hours in the saddle day after day, my backside would be like raw steak if I tried it. Good luck and carry on!
I sympathise with Kyle. Fell off in a ford near Stratford on the way back from the tdf finish in 2014. I was OK, if a bit wet, but my phone was ruined. Always take the board walks now.
So impressed by both of you, but today was really Kyle's day to persevere. Just be glad you didn't have MUFC's physio dept from last season--you might've been Malacia 2.0!
Fantastic video as usual you two. Are the panniers able to come forward a bit so as they are more over the rear axle to make the bikes more balanced? They look far to rearward compared to a normal touring setup.
Hope you're alright Kyle, you probably know by now if the wrist is fractured or not, hope you didn't end up riding on too far if it was. Will need a splint and laying off it for 6 - 10 weeks if it is... Speaking from experience.
Don’t understand why the measurements from wasn’t it a Cannondale ( used for his bike fit ) used to set up his Pinerello.I know he won’t listen but with his knee problem he is not helping it by riding a gear or two TOO BIG out of the saddle up hills. I ride with gloves everywhere ( but hate them ) But if I fall & scrap my hands I can’t work
ICYI (aka ‘in case you’re interested’) TE Lawrence (aka Larry of Arabia) cycled round France in his mid-teens during a ferociously hot summer and with literally nothing. He relied on people’s kindness.
For water in France, go to a graveyard. There is always a tap there, for watering the flowers. What do I know? - after 50 years of living and cycling in France.
I don't know exactly what the circumstances are in France, but in Germany, i head for a cemetery to get free water when i'm thirsty. Maybe try this next time.
I have knackered knees and feel for Kyle………..spinning lower gears in stead of grinding big gears is more comfortable always 👍…perhaps drop a gear or 2 🤷♂️🍻
I think life is being a little bit unfair towards Kyle these days. First the knee business and now a minor crash but a buggered hand nevertheless. It is not all sunshine and blue skies....but some of it certainly is 😆
I do I’ve never tried gels etc as I prefer to use real food & it works for me, Kyle sometimes uses gels and carb drinks but mainly real food ~ I might give carb drinks a go for help getting in the needed calories! But haven’t tried them yet!
Why would you ever ride through fords? I would ALWAYS get off the bike and walk through it, especially in the summer months as weed/moss collects on the surface of the road. I hope Kyle is okay and i love your channel, just subscribed .
Ни в одном из её видео, она не крутит в гору и не дышит тяжело. Она не меняет цепь и не качает колеса. Она не делает ничего, что делают велосипедисты. Это обман?
Fantastic adventure. Love your character Amy. The idea travelling companion.
France is UNBELIEVABLY scenic, everything is so rustic and charming, some of the finest views I've ever seen!
It’s great 😍😍

Haha we had a lot packed in there 😂😂 yes we were lucky it wasn’t any worse! thanks for watching! ☺️

Ahh thank you glad you’re enjoying the videos! We are living our dream when we do adventures like this 😍yes lesson learnt for Kyle!
I love the way you do things, Amy.. so spirited, so alive, so funny, and amusing, too. It’s never a dull moment with you.. bon, au revoir!
Ahh thanks! Glad you enjoy it 🙌 all about bringing smiles ☺️
Poor Kyle! What a trooper he is. Great mileage guys huge well done 💖
After the 600K and this I have huge admiration for Kyle's sheer grit. Something like this can really put a cloud over a trip and you both just get on with it.
He’s a star 🌟
Gloves always, always
Enjoyed whatching those roads. Great bike riding!
Track mitts... Plus you get the traditional cyclists back of the hand tan. Plus you can clean your tyres on the move! 😀
Ohh good point never thought of the tyre cleaning 😂

"Bonjour chateau" you are so enthousiast when you travel by bike, its so lovely that you say hi to a castle! Have a nice trip in the south of france!
Haha I’m usually always happy when cycling 🙌☺️ thanks! ☺️
France has some awesome mountains to be ridden
Yes next time we visit we will see them 🤞🤞
I want to share my respect for your man, I’d go crazy with so much joy and energy during my ride😂. Very enjoyable to watch tho!
😂😂 luckily I’m not hyper 24/7 he does well!
Job well done gang ,Kyle,s first thought when slipping off ,is the bike alright , Oasis !!!! , Orangina is better, but as i mentioned in part one , How lovely and empty the roads are and the countryside is super. enjoyed , keep safe Paul.

Thanks! Yes we should wear them really 🤦♀️🤦♀️
Thanks for watching 🫶☺️
Gloves!!! Always gloves !!
Yes!!
Can get cheap pair in decathlon as should be lots around
I’m amazed how many full pro riders don’t wear gloves - terrifying! I never ride without them
Mid afternoon bonk ? Means something else at our house 😂
😂😂
Nice one Kyle for pedalling on. Gloves do help a bit, I always use gloves from the many crashes I had in the past. Those villages in France are beautiful, so peaceful.
Yea think we need to start wearing them! They are 😍
Love this! You guys inspire me to want to go on a bike holiday!
Ahh great to hear this! Yess if you can we defo recommend it 😍
Really feel for Kyle, I had the exact same thing last year I had just done my first ever 50 mile ride and two miles from home there was a ford that hardly had any water in so I went through, straight away the bike went sideways I came off burnt a hole in my bibs, ripped my jersey and had cuts and bruises all over me 😫 shook me up but made me more determined. Glad Kyle was ok.. definitely worth wearing gloves guys.. I’ve come off a few times over the years and gloves saved me every time 👍👍🚴🏻🚴♀️great ride and adventure.. Pete
Yes we should do! 😬
Hope all is healing after the fall. Keep the gloves on :)
All doing well thanks! ☺️
Remind me so much France is a nice place for cycling. When I watch your video, I want to bring my bike in the plane and go there. Enjoy your trip!
Ahh yes it’s lovely!
Hope alls ok Kyle, not good when anyone comes off the "horse", hideous crash today in the final stretch of the TDF.
May the cycling gods watch over you both.
Nice beaver ☀️ 🇫🇷

A sign of a good relationship is that you can ride in total silence when you need to and it's not a problem 👍♥️
Yes 100% 🫶🙌
Great episode, you both seem pretty fresh after all those miles in a day!!
Well done 👍 🚴🏼♀️🚴🏼♂️💨
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it ☺️
Bloomin' eck! TWO days in a row first up on the comments podium !! What am I like ...???!!!!
Lovely sunny rides. Kyle please please get yourself on the list for an MRI scan for that knee. I ignored knee pain for ages and ended up weeks off the bike and two knee operations.
And both of you wear gloves!!!
Thank you!! Ohhh yes so important to look after it
Hope Kyle is healing well well done for soldiering on
He was all good! 🫶🙌
Another great video and good miles today hope kyle is ok and feels lots better tomorrow least his bike was ok
Thanks so much 🫶
Great cycling kyle is always eating haha keep the good work up and enjoy.
Thanks! Haha much needed for the Milones 😂
Fantastic ride Amy Kyle big respect to you both 💪🏻💪🏻🫶🏻🚴🚴
Thanks! ☺️
What beautiful places you visit. Superb video 👏👏👏
Thanks 😍
In France and ever need water just find nearest cemetery there is always a tap (usually just inside the main entrance) - top cycle touring tip👍
Good tip! ☺️
Hi Amy. If you run out of water and can't find a shop, look out for cemeteries. They always have a tap!
Thanks for the tip! ☺️

"Go for it", indeed!

A girl with a mission. I like it ❤
Shame for Kyle 😢 but glad he completed the day. Always difficult to get back on the bike after a fall. I fell off in Tuscany recently and still got a sore hip 😂
Get that knee sorted Kyle, it's not just a bike fit you need, it's a physio as it's been playing up a while!
Poor Kyle is OK amazing view in France 🇫🇷

He’s doing all good now thankfully nothing serious 🙌 thank you ☺️

Ahh yes I find this, what’s why I usually wear my Nike ones but then I get too hot 😂😂
Don't they have cars in France? I was out riding today in Blighty, bloody cars everywhere . . .
So quiet in France!
Nice one guys. Glad Kyle is ok
Thank you ☺️🫶
I never go through fords anymore, not since a friend of mine came off and broke his hip… Hope you don’t have any lasting damage, Kyle. Stay safe and enjoy TdF.
Ahh Kyle was lucky how he came out!!
Poor Kyle, hope he was ok in the morning! Good ride, enjoyed it. I don’t know how you manage so many hours in the saddle day after day, my backside would be like raw steak if I tried it. Good luck and carry on!
He was thankfully! Just a sore hand!
I hope Kyle and his new bike are ok, maybe a first aid kit in your bag if you don't have one xx
omg kyle was unlucky but he is a fighter, congratulations to you both
He is!! Thank you 🙌☺️
Ride safe guys, enjoy and God bless u both..
Carl couldn't be any more Northern; "that cheese is a bit 'holey' for me" 🤣🤣🤣
The villages are so quiet

Ahh no!! Yes trying to get him to wear gloves now!
Ouch, Kyle. Mate!
Brazil muito bom ❤
Gloves/mitts are essential.
Haf to say Kyle's a good plodder, grinding away on his pedals..... you two certainly put in the malonies.
'Ull' east yorkshire.
Hang in there Kyle
So impressed by both of you, but today was really Kyle's day to persevere. Just be glad you didn't have MUFC's physio dept from last season--you might've been Malacia 2.0!

ride always safe....godbless always🙏👊👍
Fantastic video as usual you two. Are the panniers able to come forward a bit so as they are more over the rear axle to make the bikes more balanced? They look far to rearward compared to a normal touring setup.
Thank you!! No they attach on at that point on the rack, but you can put them on the front forks with a different attachment ☺️
I would start my first bike packing very soon.
Enjoy!!
Kyle's cycling nickname is Tadej Focaccia 😂
Hope you're alright Kyle, you probably know by now if the wrist is fractured or not, hope you didn't end up riding on too far if it was. Will need a splint and laying off it for 6 - 10 weeks if it is... Speaking from experience.
Don’t worry no fractures just cuts luckily! 🙌
Very nice

They’re SunGod - I got sent them by the brand for total honesty! But I LOVE them ☺️

@@amy.cycling.adventures Another wheeze for you: when wild camping, the garden of an empty house usually has a nice flat lawn.
Hey, did you do all the route planning on strava? or did you use other things.
Hiya, I did all the route planning on the garmin connect app and used google maps alongside it ☺️
I don't know exactly what the circumstances are in France, but in Germany, i head for a cemetery to get free water when i'm thirsty. Maybe try this next time.
That's a good idea! Yes will do that next time, don't know why we didn't think of that 😅

I think everyone would be willing to watch you and Kyle ride all the milones (miles) every day (barring injury).
Lyra, chai, big thighs 😂😂😂😂
Haha 😂😂 thanks for watching!
I think life is being a little bit unfair towards Kyle these days. First the knee business and now a minor crash but a buggered hand nevertheless. It is not all sunshine and blue skies....but some of it certainly is 😆
Yes he hasn’t had the best luck recently! Still enjoying the rides though 🙌
are you going to the Pirenei to see tour the france?
Hi. What’s the brand/model of the rear pannier rack please, and are they carbon bike frame specific?
Hiya! They’re Tailfin and yes they are they have a thru axel that goes to your bike and the rack is carbon too ☺️
Do you both chose not to have any gels, energy bars, energy powder etc and just have real food? :) thanks
I do I’ve never tried gels etc as I prefer to use real food & it works for me, Kyle sometimes uses gels and carb drinks but mainly real food ~ I might give carb drinks a go for help getting in the needed calories! But haven’t tried them yet!
For some reason whenever I crash on my hands I'm never wearing gloves, but I usually wear gloves 80% of the time too. smh
Why would you ever ride through fords? I would ALWAYS get off the bike and walk through it, especially in the summer months as weed/moss collects on the surface of the road. I hope Kyle is okay and i love your channel, just subscribed .
As he went though it I shouted not to but as I shouted he was off 🤦♀️🤦♀️😂 thanks so much for the subscribe ☺️
Yipee
It looks like Kyle is overstretched on the new bike
Nike fit for him tomorrow 🙌
Hope Kyle hand and knee ok? Amy you keep mentioning gluten free have you been diagnosed? Have a good trip
Kyle definitely looks uncomfortable on the bike. Needs a bike fit asap.
