- Ashley Campbell wrote "Remembering" for her late father, country star Glen Campbell, when he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. She and Carl Jackson performed this tribute to Glen on Larry's Country Diner shortly before his death back in 2017.

I didn't realise until now Glen had such a talented daughter, her pitch and phrasing is perfect, I've been playing guitar and singing now for sixry plus years and Glen is one of the finest Guitar players I've ever heard in my life, but never got the recognition he deserved, lovely to see Ashley keeping up the family legacy, absolutely brilliant.
Just a beautiful song and tribute. Tears to my eyes. All of us know and remember our loved ones and who they are. Thank you !

I have a lump in my throat and I don't know what to say. A couple of years ago my Dad died of stomach cancer. He also had Dementia. I was with him while he was on his death bed. I remember as a kid my Dad always playing the guitar and singing for us kids. He never had a good quality guitar. Always something cheap. A couple of years before he died I bought him a Fender Acoustic/Electric for his birthday. He couldn't play as well as he use to, but it didn't matter. He finally owned a great sounding guitar. I bought myself an electric guitar and an acoustic guitar to hang on my wall. I only knew a few chords, but every time I looked at them they reminded me of him and my childhood. Now, after all these years, I am finally learning to play them. I only wish I could have played with him while he was alive.
This song brings back a lot of those memories. I have never actually put all of this into words. Thank you.

How lovely... Ashley is so lucky to have Carl as her Godfather. I think he is the best friend Glen could ever have had. Since they met, they just seemed to click when Carl was a nineteen year old, and spent 12 years working along side him.
All my life I have loved Glen's music. And when they went public with his diagnosis I was mad! So mad because it just wasn't fair for this incredible person who played, sang and acted during my life was some day not gonna remember who he was or know the changes he had made within mine and so many others lives. As Ashley sang I began to realize that along with her my memories are strong even though not the same. Still loving you Glen Campbell and we all are doing the remembering! God Bless y'all! ❤

I have been a fan of Glen Campbell for a very long time. Ashley does a great job with this song...tribute. I saw Glen perform at our county fair shortly before he stopped singing. His performance was fantastic and his talent on the guitar was impressive. During the show Mr. Campbell (with respect) got lost on stage, not sure where they were in the show. Ashley stepped in. I have always wanted to tell her what an excellent job she did to keep the show on course. At the same time we got to see a loving daughter talking to her Dad getting him back on track. She did it so well, not in a childish manner, not in a condescending manner. Love and professionalism is what we witnessed. Those two and the band moved forward with a fantastic show. Thank you Mr. Campbell. A wonderful job Ashley.

Praying that Ashley continues to carry on with her own music and then well, of course, her father's. There is bravery here. Not an easy thing to do. Thinking of that Nelson boy playing and singing his dad's tunes, or Arlo's daughter, Sarah Lee. Oh my goodness now she has it going on there in New York. Playing that Donovan tune: "Catch the wind." Whew. Course, Nothin like Ashley. All those tunes: She even does Wichita Lineman. Oh Ashley.

This isn't my first time hearing this song but I just have to say that this is one of the most heart touching and poignant songs I've ever heard! You can just feel the love there in her words! She is such a talented singer and songwriter and I really hope that she hits it big with her music career because we sure could use a lot more of her voice in this world!!
