For those wondering why enemies were taking awhile to get knocked down in this gameplay, this was a controlled variable on my end! I decided to use under-leveled gear in this fight (Using my old Level 40 pistols and rounds) mainly because a lot of the crimes I stopped that day were getting breezed through extremely fast. I was getting bored and essentially wanted to challenge myself! My level 60 gear (both epic and legendary) beat enemies a little too quickly for my liking.
From what I've seen all the veteran Arkham Knight players haven't done ANY videos with this game. Seems like they hate it too much maybe? I don't know. Maybe the algorithm is hiding them?
I'm half way through the video, and i have to say, using lower level gear was smart. It makes it more....realistic, if you can say that about something fictional. The fights take a good amount of time - like what you'd imagine a real fight with those characters would be like. I really think they didn't realize that people would do what you did here. They probably assumed the average casual player would want top of the line equipment all the time. I haven't played it yet, because everything made it seem like it was a simplistic version of Arkham Knight. But the fact that they allow you to keep - and use - old low level gear, is intriguing. (I'm someone who's almost milked every drop out of Arkham Knight, so MAYBE I'll give it a shot, depending on the price.)

@@HarosOfStyx no level of real world martial arts will tell you when an attack is coming from behind you or any other blindside in the middle of a group melee (maybe in a one-on-one, you might have a good read on your opponent), that's more of a sixth sense level of awareness that can only be reliable from a fictional standpoint 😅

You made it like a full fledged bat man game. Like we’re experiencing the comics that we live in. The way you fight looks like its meticulously approached and creatively thought out its scintillating. When you play batman games like that or any of the Arkham games you really reap all the benefits of feeling like a badass (for lack of a better word) in the experience

Yeah people failed to realize this game was set in another multiverse different from the Arkham Knight series, so this is Jason Todd but not the same one in the Arkham Knight, people say why he's not using the same combat prowess from the Arkham Knight dlc that's because they're not the same person.
That was really incredible to watch, and you're not even heavily showcasing Jason's other in-game forte: being the main grappler of the four characters. Using that and the fear mechanic completely changes how he plays.
I just got this game this month and i love all the Batman games including this one im a Red Hood Main maself and your gameplay with him made him look invincible and dope asf definitely earned ma sub 🤝🏾🤝🏾🤜🏾🤛🏾
I just wish there were more animations with the hand to hand combat instead of basically seeing the same animations over and over, yet again its the same with knight after awhile. This gameplay does look satisfying af, lot different than how the trailer looked in the best way possible
My biggest complaint about the combat was two things 1. I wished they could look on better when doing melee attacks 2. I hated the combat objectives bc it would make you feel like you’re failing even though you’re not and it would have the most random goals that half the time didn’t fit the scenario. I hated that
This is why I don't get difficulty nowadays. You're blasting them like they're Mudface clones made of mud and you need to fill them with lead before they finally collapse. Instead of making difficulty affect how fast they are, how aggressive they are etc. while keeping some kind of "realism" (I mean, hero vs minions in his case) and feeling of being a badass by being able to defeat them quickly if you're good, they are just bullet sponges.
A detail I didn't decide to bring up sooner but, I decided to use under-leveled gear in this fight! It's legendary weapons but it's level 40 instead of my regular level 60 gear! Actually, once you get your footing in this game, you can start shredding enemies with ease. But I started getting discontent with how easy things got (even on hard mode). But I get where you're coming from! Not everyone wants to deal with spongey enemies/Gear/RPG mechanics.
@@Don-E_ I mean, I get that killing things too fast is boring too - that's why for quite some time I wanted to see in RPGs what FPS games do with difficulty: better aim (which in case of RPG could be more abilities, not just "modifiers"), almost never more tanky (save for for example armored enemies who require something more) and simply more aggresive/smarter behavior , sometimes with less resources if its that kind of game.
@@N00Bella Yeah they typical goons then you get into the assassins and owls should have been a more progressive difficulty "spike" yet some later enemies are immune to some aspects of gameplay. That's just as bad as making them spongy outside of being a "brute" type. That's why I understand why people want it to be like the older arkham games because they want a bit more balance without the gearing and leveling which personally annoys me. When enemies stronger than you level wise just bypass all skill based gameplay

I had an absolute blast with it, try it out :D If you look at gameplay, it looks like Arkham combat, but there is a lot more going on with abilities and combos and bosses. Plays similarly to the PS2 game "Godhand", but Godhand (as old as it is) is very button press heavy.

This reminded me alot of Spider-Man PS4's combat system. You have to flip and roll around the floor dodging and the webs would be the bullets lol. This was really cool tho- they needed to pay you to showcase the gameplay before it came out😂💯🔥

I just played him as a critical hit beast. My entire Red Hood was build around critical hit damage and critical hit chance. Needless to say basically every enemy died with one charged up headshot xD Such a fun character to play, by far my favorite !

downloading the game now for the black friday sale and holy shit you make the game look so fun. i still despise the 30fps (ty xbox series s) but im willing to experiment and carve out badass combos and setups shown here. also tht dropkick at 0:19 looks so sick. Tbh what i despise as much as the capped fps are the characterizations. Jason Todd is portrayed as a brutish meathead when they shouldve gone for an "Under The Red Hood" movie vibe (like arkham knight but more seasoned like the movie) where hes really intelligent and makes tough decisions. Just every scene ive seen of him in the Belfry has him out to be so stupid.
They locked it at 30 fps on consoles. But somehow with more than 60 the dialogues are faster than character mouth movement. I've seen in some games having that. 60fps is balanced. Recently they removed Epic on Steam version but didn't remove Denuvo. It really affects the performance and has fps choppiness because of it.
