    It's been a couple of years now since his passing, and I still miss seeing new videos from him. He seemed to be such a down to earth and warm, lovely person. His style of cooking is the same style I use myself when I'm in the kitchen. RIP, Jack. and may your good soul travel safely in heaven. ♥ Lakeesha, if you're reading this I want to thank you for keeping this channel online! All the love to you and yours, and everyone else who knew Jack.

    The best chef I have seen on the internet. So laid back. The other chefs are too hyper and full of themselves. Not this one who seems like a nice uncle with great cooking skills. May he rest in peace and make some nice dishes upstairs.

    I know we all gotta go one day but Jack was just a easy going ole school cook thats humble.. to the community he wad a giving man, helped out many family's and homeless folks. He gave his heart and soul to his craft.. i wish i found the man sooner but binge watching his video's i feel like i knwo him.. thsnk you for blessing all of us

    I missed this man so much, he was one of the greats Loveed his family an friends and subscribers. Its painful thinking he is gone ,BUT no forgotten. Daddy Jack lives in all our hearts....WOuld of loved to have his as a dad since I realy didnt have one.....

    There is not a doubt in my life that Jack could go through the scraps that most chefs would throw away while cooking and make his own stock and beat what they make hands down! Good get the smell-o-vision on this channel.

    Hi Jack, I tried buying that leg of lamb at grocery store but had no luck but I got the lamb chops, had sauteed the mushrooms and onions together, and cook some fresh string beans for my dinner and everything came out beautifully.

    Hi chef wanna let you know you are spot on. Way to often I hire the new gen cooks and they act like they have everything figured out! Pay your dues chefs! I have been a CT chef for 22 years now, just opened my own place and still love to learn as much as possible. Keep it up and stay cool.

    Heh Jack, that is an interesting method of risotto.
    I just made one the other day with chicken & mushrooms.
    Left over chicken breast sauteed off with the mushrooms separately.
    Then put the risotto together with homemade chicken stock, and a glass of sauvignon,adding a little stock at a time letting it absorb before adding the mushrooms & chicken pieces, finished off with with butter & proper parmiggiano reggiano.

    Not sure how I missed this one. That's the best/easiest way to make Risotto I've ever seen. It still has some body to it instead of spreading out on my plate. It also looks to have the right "mouth feel" (don't much care for el~dente). I have to try making this asap.

    I love the fsct he said all the kids smoking the reefer and creating munch food was classic. Thats a small hint of his personality. I live near bodega bay out in Northern California the Tides is still there i think. Whenever wr went out to the ocean we would alwsys est there for sure

    Been retired for a year, laid off for a year, when I sleep every time I dream of cooking 🧑‍🍳.
    68 yrs old I may not be returning to work, but I cook every night in my dreams. YES, some of the best ideas I’ve come up with for food has been while I was asleep.

    Looks good Im more of a old school risotto kind of guy , but i respect the changing it up and making a dish your own and being creative with the cooking , I think i would have used a nice pepper jack cheese and maybe a couple of egg yoks at the end for some more richness lol and you cant forget the green onions
