So, once again - this is a tutorial for After Effects. This is not for DeepFaceLab. This is not for FaceApps like on your iPhone/Android. This tutorial is exclusively for After Effects and I currently do not use other software for make VFX. Before creating this tutorial, I looked for on UA-cam other face replacement tutorials (After Effects only). Maybe I was looking badly, but I could not find a tutorials with the result better than in this video. I am talking about standard After Effects features. AE Face Tools - is not a plugin. It just an extension that simplifies the task for expressions with Puppet Points. That is, if you understand how it works - you can do without AE Face Tools. If you need a much better result, please use other solutions.

"Slit Mask" not found in Replacement Comp - Holder

Amazing work man , I wish there was preimere version that has some easy to use features , like drag and drop - eye size , nose size , eyes color change and with presets baked in .
You can see in galaxy phones you could acually use the gallery editor to reduce jaw linen, Smooth skin , increase eye size and its only 1 slider per effect. if youd release something of that nature that is time efficent and Not as drastic but more of a face enhancing tool , Id def buy it

I purchased this product and does a real good job and does a lot of the hard work for you. Is the a way add different hair with side burns , such as using a .png image, yet move with the head in the same way the face does?

Another question from me though. How would it be possible to do face tracking of longer videos without having memory issues and extremely slow processing? I've found 5 - 10 second clips are relatively fast (about 1 - 3 minutes to track) but it seems to go a lot slower with longer videos.

This is all very well if you want to replace the face on a WHOLE clip. But do you have to do a clip at a time or is there a way to do this cut by cut on the SAME composition?

What happens when your talent changes the direction they're facing? Does the rigging follow, or does everything kind of fall apart? This tutorial was fascinating and useful for a project I'm working on, but I'm curious to know the limits of this technique since we only saw an example of replacing the face of someone looking directly at the camera with a picture of someone who was also looking straight at the camera.

*** To Find Slit Layer ****
look in the motion bro window, find "Make Up holder" which is right above "Face Replacement" apply make up holder. double click on holder layer, inside there you will find the slit layer. copy past layer where you need it, delete the make up holder that was applied.

Is there a way to use the tracked face data and apply it to a null object position rotation and scale? I'm literally just trying to overlay a transparent image, maybe I should use Mocha for that? I keep getting the error to select the layer with the tracked data which I am doing
Does it boggle anyone else’s mind that it’s so complicated to do on a powerful desktop versus a smartphone app?
I mean you have a point, but on a smartphone the app connects to an AI network to be done on their server not the smartphone. It's basically connecting to their computer through the app. If there was a desktop app that you could do the same with it would be so much easier but you usually have less creative control.

The smartphone app uses preexisting video and often preexisting faces.

This is an AMAZING attribute and is EXACTLY what I needed. My problem is, though, with the 2020 AE, the layout is different, and no matter which workspace I use, there is no "Motion Bro" panel on the right. Although I have the tracking points for the facial features, I cannot figure out how to apply said assets to the photograph so that the image will match the movements of the man's face in the video clip. What am I doing incorrectly?

@videolancer: Is it normal that the demo version does not have a functional 'RIG' function for face replacement? If I click it, after have tracked data and pin setup, I get linked to the website?
Hi there, I seem to be stuck at 02:30. I've clicked rig but it sends me back to the website to buy the AE Face Tools website. Do I need to reinstall the tools and presets or actually buy the license for $45? When looking at my file directory, I can find the Tools folder with the file RIG.cus_rul.
I have the newest version of everything. Just yesterday, I installed adobe products cloud suit, motion bro 3.0.3, and the AE face tools free demo pack.

I'm a total newbie, and I got totally stuck at the "motio bro" part. I have it installed on my computer, and when I click on "windows" in AE, it shows it in "extensions"; however, when I click on it, it tells me to go to settings and click "change path", but the settings for it are not working. I'm in the trial period for AE, and I don't think I will subscribe to it after it's over bc it does seem more complicated than I expected.

After six months someone finally made the video i want..thank you
I taste it trying to replace a face, in 4K video, but the layer with the masks of the eyes, nose and mouth doesn't appear.
The controls of the individual eyes, doesn't match at all, and there's a lot of work to do with the light changes.
I have to try with the free software called EbSynth I hope to have better results.
does we need to specially download the face replacement effects? Or is ady include in the after effects?

i wonder, can we use 2 mask? i mean i do track the face, but because the camera position from the video is changing my mask cant detect it and still on same spot while the face already on different angle (put mask on face when the face a bit far the cam is change the face to become closer and big, but my track wont detected it)

At 1:10, When I click "Face Replacement", the window doesn't look like that. I updated Motion Bro. But it basically Says "replacement Comp" And under it is a window with an old guy on it that I can click "Apply" on. When I c lick Apply, it says, "For this preset, you need to select the layer with the tracked face. It is selected, but that's where I cannot continue.

I'm having trouble with this tool. I can successfully track the original face (face tracking points move with the facial movements), and finally got a face to track for the replacement comp. However, the final result is always that the position of the new face moves horizontally and vertically, but none of the facial gestures are visible. It is as if the puppet pins are ignored, and just vertical/horizontal tracking is transferred to the new face. Very frustrating...
