- The very charming Stefanie Powers joined in for some fond memories of horses, movies and playing John Wayne's daughter in "McLintock!" Recorded at The Autry Museum, April 18, 2017.
Loved her in Mclintock, and hart to hart.
Man she has aged great. She’s a wonderful actress. Loved her in the John Wayne movie as his daughter.
I wish she’d let her hair go gray.
What a superb life that beautiful lady has led ! Crammed five lives into one .Absolutely exquisite .
Absolutely
Great interview!
The lady is still a doll after all these years.
What a great John Wayne story! Always thought she was a good person.
Listening to Stefanie Powers is always a great gift.
I absolutely adore Stefanie Powers. McLintock has always been my favorite John Wayne movie.
I still watch Hart to Hart, have since it first came out. She’s a beautiful lady. I also love watching John Wayne’s movies. A+ for John Wayne & Stefanie Powers.
It's hard to steal the camera when you are in a scene with John Wayne, but Stefanie Powers sure did in McLintock! I barely noticed John Wayne once she appeared.
When you can rock leather pants in your seventies, you are doing pretty well.
Clint Walker was always one of my favorite western stars - nice to see him mentioned.
Wow ....I have loved Stephanie for ever.
On Hart to Hart we were out in Thousand Oaks on an episode. Some horses got out and took off down the road and Stephanie took off after them on her horse to catch them and I could sense the concern of the director that she was doing something possibly dangerous. She brought the horses back (i think there were 3) and all was fine.
Great story of her riding confidence, thank you.
Stefanie, Not Stephanie.
Stephanie has always been style grace Intellect. She has been amazing
Miss Powers thank you for the great stories. I first saw you on Girl From UNCLE. Great show I was very sad to see go. You were my first actress crush (I was 9 LOL) and I have not been disappointed since. Thanks for all your great work.
Stefanie Powers Was Groovy as April Dancer in the Girl From U . N . C . L . E . , The Original Title Being The Girl From
A . U . N . T . I . E . The Acronym For Associated Unified Nations Taskforce for International Enforcement .
Just watched McClintok this week! Stephanie looks as vibrant as ever! I can only imagine John Wayne crying! Great Interview! 👍
I need an hour more of her.
Lovely interview with Stefanie Powers ⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘
I'm 49 now and fell in love with Stefanie Powers last year when I first saw Mclintock. She was so very super beautiful in that movie and still is!🙏🇺🇸
I'm 49 also. Had a big crush on her in Hart to Hart. She's still quite a lady, wow still gorgeous.
She was William Holden’s girlfriend until his death and was very active in African wildlife conservation with him. Holden has been a big game hunter who became a conversation activist.
She looks great!!!! Love her!!!! Big Hart to Hart fan!!!!
She is aging beautifully!
D Day just as lovely as she was on Hart to Hart.
She was and still remains beautiful both inside and out.
Pretty pancreas, you say?
She has always had a great attitude 100% all the way .
Lovely Lady and the movie great and there Was many funny moments thanks Ward
what a great movie, and such fabulous players too. A great laughs and the imagery was top notch.
Enjoyed MS. Powers interview. I loved McClintock and glad she told backstory. Thank you for posting.
Our pleasure!
Forever beautiful ❤
One of my early crushes, from the Girl From Uncle to Hart to Hart. Stephanie, you're a stunner ❤❤❤
Watching this in 2022 cheers from Pennsylvania Blessings 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Still beautiful AND she can still wear leather!
Such a lovely lady. I loved the interview. Thank you Rob
Thanks, Sherri. Stef's a sweetheart.
Such a wonderful beautiful spunky lady plus loves horses...what more can one say 🤔 I loved the movie McClintock, my favourite ❤ Duke starred in it 🥰💙🙏oxoxox oxoxox oxoxox
Thanks 😊 🙏oxoxox I
Of course, when I see or hear of Stephanie Powers, it's natural to recall the premature loss of William Holden.
Stephanie Powers, still so beautiful!
Truly stylish and lovely woman. Met her in Manchester UK in 2004.
She looks amazing...like always.
Hermosa y excelente actriz!!!
Great story, thank you 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
In all your interviews with Stefanie Powers, she has a confident, sexy, "what you see is what you get" attitude so it's never difficult to picture her as Maureen O'Hara's daughter in McLintock, they certainly seem cut from the same cloth.
Off screen, I've read that she is very much into the outdoors. I recall seeing film of her and William Holden hunting in Africa, and is head of a wildlife conservancy group named in Holden's honor.
Quite a woman, quite a lady.
.Thanks Rob. You have the best job in the world.
When Stephanie Powers says “bob-wire”, twice,... makes everything totally legit!
Excellent story. Boy, she looks great!
Love Stephanie Powers and John Wayne!
Me, too, Erik. Thanks.
Wow...she looks amazing!
Mr. Word you have the greatest interviews.
Great movie memories.
It's her birthday...today!
Powers is one cool lady.
Great interview. I just love beautiful Stefanie! Lovely lady, so talented and classy. She’s a horse lover (and animal activist) and equestrian, as I am, so she is the coolest in my book!
Said it before, gonna say it again.. you ALWAYS have the best guests to interview! So far, however, none of them beat the one with Billy Mumy, he's just the all-time best interviewee !
Absolutely priceless !
Keep 'em comin' !
Saw her with Robert Wagner in the play, Love Letters. This was in the mid nineties and she was beautiful.
I saw her in Love Letters also. I got a photo with her after the show. What a highlight!
HOw GREATt o catch up with Stephanie Powers! Thank you!!
She looks fantastic!
Ms. Powers is still beautiful, charming, and smart. I am very glad to see her again. I hope she has many more magical years ahead. Thank you both for the great memories. God Bless you.
Stephanie Powers and Maureen O'Hara were two of the most beautiful actresses in Hollywood. Ms. Powers is still stunning!
Off of topic but - my husband and I stayed at John Wayne's favorite hotel in Bisbee, Arizona when we got married 4 years ago. In our 50s! Well from the second we checked into the John Wayne suite (closest to the bar so he could find his room easily) the wiring was haywire. One tv blew up, second tv blew up, door kept locking itself and unlocking and the lights were flickering. Come to find out one of the biggest fights John Wayne and Pilar had was when she came to visit him on set unexpectedly right after getting married and caught him with another woman. Maybe we triggered something with the wedding?
Ha! Ghosts!
She still a very classy beautiful greatest lazy. Fame hasn't changed her
McLintock, my favorite movie for sentimental reasons... My grandpa was one of the Indians watching the big fight scene where they slid down into the mud hole.
Still beautiful and classy.
Really enjoyable, thanks for posting :)
Perhaps the best film made by John Wayne was "Island In the Sky" which starred many people who are household words.
Wow, never heard of that movie, Sir.
John Wayne, larger than life for his patriotic life and conservative principles was married twice to Latin women ! His first wife was Josephine Saenz daughter of the then Panamanian Consul General in Washington, mother of Michael and Patrick Wayne ,his second wife was
Peruvian born Pilar Pallete and mother of his three children! And John is supposed to have been a prejudist man, Pilar was his wife till he died. John Wayne loved South America and was best friend with Pedro Armendariz, the great Mexican actor and producer who starred with him in the Three Godfathers through out his life.John Wayne was an international individual character. You can Google his wives info.
She is still a beautiful woman and I watched Heart to Heart because of her.
She looks Great !
WOW! She is still so gorgeous!!!!
What a great interview with the always lovely Stephanie Powers. She described a Breeding Ranch quite well. I just love the story about her wild ride and John Wayne's touching response. McLintock is always a great film to watch on a Sunday. Somehow, every weekend is incomplete without a John Wayne film. Thank you again, Rob, for another one of your great interviews.
It is SteFanie with an F please not ph
John Wayne Sundays!💪🇺🇸
Marrianne Lessi That's not how most people spell it though. Sooo?
@@ronniebishop2496 No but it is how you write her name.
Marrianne Lessi It’s not that important you acted like it was you! Ha
I loved her in Heart to Heart ❤
not sure what show that was.. but her show was Hart to Hart
Brings me back.
I have watched this
Stephanie Powers video about twenty times Rob !

I always adored Stephanie. As far back as The Girl from Uncle.
STEFANIE POWERS HAS ALWAYS BEEN A CLASSY LITTLE LADY. LOVE YA.
She's aged gracefully. This was a funny story.
Wow I had a crush on her when I was younger. BEAUTIFUL!
Still a beautiful lady and great actress
Incredible interview, thanks so much
She is still gorgeous!
Could listen to/watch her for hours straight ....
She had good chemistry with Wayne in McClintock. We watch it every July 4th in our house, fun movie.
Wow, I Love Stephanie Powers.
Wow! She still looks great.
Still looks pretty good !
Quite the Grace 👑 Kelly she is.
Glen Randall told me once. "the reason the indians rode appaloosa's was so they'd be plenty pissed off when they caught up with the calvary and the reason the calvary rode in McClennan saddles is so they'd be plenty pissed off when they met up with the indians".
Very funny, mark.
great movie daughter for john wayne. Learn something about palomino horse. ;)
Isn't she lovely!! The best and absolutely sweet!
She's still gorgeous...
Stephanie is still “beautiful”till this day.
SDJ 63 John Wayne
Loved her on McClintock!
such an ageless beauty ms powers loved her on heart to heart she such a great and humble lady thanks so much for all your wonderful shows
the rest of us loved her Hart to Hart..
Such an interesting interview and with a nod to Gene Autry and the museum. McClintock is a fun movie and Ms. Powers did a wonderful job. Her work has proven how versatile she is. She seemed to enjoy doing the interview as well. So glad you do these Rob. Great all around.
I am 61 and for most of my life McLintock was my all time favorite movie! It has slipped to about #3 now, but is still enjoyable! Only thing I would change is having the Chinese cook have a nephew who is a student of Wong Fei Hong show up and kick some major ass! Because even I knew that Chinese actually hated the queue (pigtail) and most cut it off as soon as they came to America and never believed they wouldn't go to heaven if it was cut off. The Manchu's violently forced the queue on the Chinese people murdering tens of thousands at various times. So yeah, that stereotype bugged me, but other than that I loved it then, love it now. People don't realize just how funny John Wayne was. He did a series of more light hearted films, McLintock, Donovan's Reef, Hatari, Circus World, and North to Alaska with my personal opinion of McLintock and North to Alaska being some of his best movies, #3 and #5 in my all time favorite films. Also look at his guest appearances on Lucy's shows! I wish John Wayne and Lucy had done a movie together.
The Chinese were a big part of Western History. They worked Railroads and Mines. There was a large population here in Denver in the 1800's. Rooster Cogburn lived behind a store owned by a Chinese man, actor H.W. Gim. He also plays the cook in McClintock.
@@AmericasChoice Thanks for the info!!!!🤠🤠🤠🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@@judyschmoll8541 You are welcome!
Still gorgeous!
Yep!
This was SO wonderful! Stefanie Powers is one of my heroes! Will you be posting this full talk?!? Pretty please?!?!
Awesome!
Wow she's held up well😁
These interviews are way too short . You gotta post longer videos pilgrim!
Agree. Wish they were longer. Love them anyway. I love hearing ANYTHING about John Wayne
I saw McClintock on original release and dozens of times since.
Wow. Amazing that she is so gorgeous, and me, maybe a couple' years behind, I look like something laying in a ditch for 6 years!
TreeDee71to75 hahaha, c’mon haha. Well you still have a good sense of humor! And we’re all on that ship together!...
Yes I really liked it, I've seen McLintock a hundred times because I didn't have cable and they showed it over and over and then You Tube had it all full movie.
Ronnie Bishop, l BOUGHT the movie & have almost wore it out!!! Best ever! Guess where? John Wayne museum in Iowa. Twice. That's when they had real ACTORS!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🐎🐎🔫🔫🤗
Judy Schmoll Oh wow, that’s right he’s from Iowa. That movie is very good and had great acting.
@@ronniebishop2496 thx for the reply. John's father was the pharmacist there in Winsett. Then moved to Ca. If you ever get to Iowa, they have a Very nice museum there, great movie library too. Take care.🐎🔫🤠. Oh P.S. THAT'S also where they filmed "Bridges of Madison County."
Judy Schmoll Oh thank you I love these tidbits .
The term Horseback riding always fascinates me. Us Brits go riding or horse riding but just seem to assume you will sit on the horses back.
Are the full interviews available to see anywhere online?
Austin’s sister is aging gracefully
