Hi there, I live in Cape Town, but have never been to Johannesburg. At around the same time the BRT was being developed, there was a mostly underground system being developed called the Gautrain. They also have a normal rail service like in Cape Town called the Metrorail and have a municipal bus called the Metrobus. They also have minibus taxis as a form of transport too.
we do have a few rail transportation methods, and the areas that the metro is placed is questionale, we need this system to be connected to the gautrain or just extend the gautrain.
Sounds like a good plan, hope the local leaders do come up with such an idea, it should include areas in Soweto too, maybe it needs to be extended more, that would be awesome for the people in the city.
Feasibility wise those outskirt stops wouldn't be worth it, but I can see massive job creation with area specific BRT systems that serve their respected areas. You should look into the Gautrain. Parts of it goes underground but I feel that if Joburg were to implement a metro system they'd add it as a gautrain metro extension, they do have the lines for it. Great video.
Well Made! But Mabe also connect Pretoria (The National Capital) to the Metrosystem. Cause i Grow up there And it was always a Pain to enter the stock regional Train to Council Or the Park Station And later back.
Unfortunately with the current level of government corruption in SA there will never be enough funds available for such a project. Also don't forget that the ground under Jo'burg is full of old mine workings and shafts, and a lot of the area is subject to sink-holes and subsidence due to the honey-comb effect of these workings.

Great video.
This is cute; our politicians will never let this see the light of day.
Great effort! Perhaps you could consider extending your network to less connected areas like Randburg and Roodepoort in the north west?
Awesome! 👍 👏
Very good work and impressive insight for someone who has never been here. Thank you
Neotrax1 Thanks for watching!

I Wanna visita Johannesburg but it seems top be very bad transport Is it improving?
No where in south africa will u find transportation problems. You can hire a car, call a taxi. Take the bus. Uber. Bolt. And many more

I Love it. but i also feel like its too many stops and unnecessary. People would be so annoyed having to stop every 5min
that's the point of a metro, it has many connections and stops. The Gautrain and Metrorail can be the longer distance trains with less stops
