    Okay, I wanted to make a comment based on what a lot of people are saying about me and others reacting sadly to Drogon getting shot but, not when he's killing a bunch of people. I, personally, am a supporter of Dany/The Starks/Tyrion so, I'm obviously going to root for them in any battle that they're in. Sure, Jamie and Bronn are nice sympathetic characters on their own but, in this situation, they're the bad guys so I don't mind seeing them lose. Plus, there are only 3 dragons in the world and they're badly needed against the white walkers. Whoever sits on the iron throne doesn't even matter in comparison so if Drogon died, it would have been devastating. None of these characters are perfect and if you like Cersei better than Dany, that doesn't mean everyone has to. I also don't understand being called a hypocrite for picking a side, how is that hypocritical? If you're watching a sports game, do you root for both teams? probably not, even if the other team has a couple of really good players, you're still going to want them to lose. This isn't a new concept. Or when you watch Lord Of The Rings, are you bothered by all the orcs that were killed? lol, come on now. Maybe if it was Jon Snow fighting against Dany and the dothraki, I would have been torn but, not in this circumstance. If you don't agree with how a reactor feels about something then, it's all good, people have different opinions but, it's ridiculous to act so astonished that anyone could possibly disagree with you. With all that said, I am glad that Jamie and Bronn both (seemingly) survived the battle and hopefully they get captured and possibly switch sides. I do like both characters and the direction the show is going in doesn't favor them and their allegiances, if they don't switch sides they'll most likely get killed.

      I don't like Dany, at all, never have. She hasn't done a single thing, until this episode where she actually fought with her dragon, to deserve to be Queen. Cersei has fought, lied, cheated, etc to get to where she needs to be. I respect Cersei for that.
      I'd rather almost anyone be King/Queen over Dany. To me she has had almost everything handed to her, like the second sons.. given to her cause she was pretty, and she's an entitled brat.

      well at least you explained yourself, i was going to flame you for it, but not anymore, you're ok! i'll be ok with jamie when he kills cersie, but until then he's still a guy who crippled bran to screw his sister. although, i know he saved kings landing.. and once upon a time he was honorable, i think he went bad when cersie started to screw him/manipulate him, I don't think she ever loved him, I think after she heard the prophecy from maggy she started doing everything she could to surround herself with strength. so he's redeemable i suppose. but i certainly wouldn't be bothered if he died, still being around Brianne he remembered sort of who he used to be, well anyway, nice reaction. glad you wrote all that, no one else has, I think you've done that with other video's and its a good idea to explain what's in your head.

    Have you ever considered the similarities of the characters Jamie Lannister to Darth Vader and Bronn to John McClane?
    Think about it. Jamie Lannister a knight that for a long time was a good knight. He slayed a mad king to save a kingdom only do fall to the dark side with the help of Cersei. Through the years he has done very morally questionable things and didn't think twice about it however now in his life you see him doing good things which is out of character to everyone around him. While he will fight foe his side (Lannister) there is still good in him, like staying with his men and bravely fighting a lost battle. All this is similar to Anakin Skywalker's story of being a brave knight doing things for the greater good only to fall to the dark side with influence from another and then later having redemption and Luke bringing him back to the good side.
    Bronn is easier to explain. A brash aging fellow who is very good at what he does as his job that ends up in bad situations from time to time on to never get killed and walk away. If that's not similar to John McClane I don't no what is.

      Returning Shadow Jamie has PTSD and this battle gave him flashbacks to the mad king during Roberts rebellion. It reflected his speech to Brienne in the hot spring. He was the kingslayer and it was his duty. He is destined to sacrifice himself for westeros. There were obviously allusions to draw between Dany and the mad king, but, I think it's more nuanced and better written than that. cersei at the end of season 7 shows almost complete megalomania.
      Bronn is the Everyman, the guy who we all might be if this was a DND campaign lol

      Dany is invading the country with foreign savages that have done far more barbaric things in their history than the Lannisters, after the bravery against overwhelming odds they displayed in this episode I have to root for the Lannister side now even though the writers of this show would never allow that un PC outcome of them to ultimately triumph.

      Bronn and Jaime are heroes.
      And yes, the Lannisters are objectively what is best for the realm and have always been. They secured 17 years of peace under Robert and war was only brought to them from outside on petty motives.
      Cersei is not only the rightful queen but also the better one.

      Paul Kaitel Absolutely, I watched some reactions of other people and they don't seem to understand that the Lannister's were in a marching formation and none of them expected to go to battle and Dany fought with just a fraction of their army. That's why the Lannister's line was just 2 rows deep and they still stood their ground. Brave men.

    "He's a little different." (Bran)
    And by 'little different' I mean he is now a mystical demi-god called the Three-Eyed-Raven in the body of a cripple whose super advanced mind is on an entirely different plane of existence & thus is nearly incapable of expressing primitive human emotions.

    They could have used a scene where the last of the Lannister soldiers gathered around the Scorpion to drive off the Dothraki who were sure to have attacked Bronn had Tyrion been on his game and ordered his escort to go after Bronn. But I guess then there would have been no plausible escape for Bronn to rescue Jaimie at the last moment.

    although i will add... i suppose what jamie did was risky.... i don't know if i'd say stupid though... he was risking his life to end the war right there.. and if your fighting a war you have to risk much, just look at the generals in the war between the states, just look at the confederate general Jackson, often times he was outnumbered but he still charged or somehow managed to turn the union lines, the union generals always assumed he wouldn't attack unless he had massive numbers, they always believed he had 3 or more times the numbers he actually had. (because they thought he'd be crazy otherwise) loads of interesting strategies in history, i remember one from china i think, dont recall the names, but one general had another vastly outnumbered, so the one who had less, ordered his men to withdraw, however while they did, they spread out, and as the larger army drew closer, his soldiers encircled them and slaughtered the larger army. rather brilliant.

    Bronn is the ultimate homie. I don't know how anyone could hate him. All he wants is his own fucking castle but he always has Jaime's back. Jaime has the ultimate plot armor not only because I think he's going to be the one to kill his sister but because he owes Bronn like 10 castles right now. Which means Bronn also has plot armor.

      by the time its all said and done, all the nobles will be dead and the army of the dead and the night king will be dead, and then bronn will just walk up to the iron throne and be like "well... someone's gotta sit on it" and that's how it will all end :P

    • @skane6560

      I don't hate Bronn at all. During this battle, I certainly did and although the character doesn't have many flaws, I honestly don't care if he lives or dies. I don't think it would make a little bit of difference to anything at all. If Drogon died, that would be horrible but, Bronn dying means almost nothing to me.

    • @cesverc
      @cesverc 7 років тому +4

      there are three dragons, you know. If one dies in this war, there are two other ready to roast the white-walkers. You're providing good reasons to support the dragons plot-wise, but ultimately, your reaction is based on what you feel. And you feel more from CGI lizards, flying weapons with no intelligence or personality, over a characters that has been with us from season 1, making us laugh and worry about him, and having a great character development over the series. That's interesting, to say the least.

    This is more a general response to comments that I've seen on this video. People keep saying plot armor plot armor plot armor and its absolutely ridiculous. On a show that is notorious for killing off main characters at any time and now there's critique when the show decides to keep some main characters alive for future episodes? Insane.

    • @cesverc
      @cesverc 7 років тому

      It's not about different opinion. It's about rooting for a fucking CGI lizard, with no intelligence or personality, against a character that has been with us since season 1, that has made us laugh and has evolved throughout the series. The fact that people would rather have a beast surive still amaze me. Dragons aren't even actual characters. Fuck off.

    • @ND-yr8bg
      @ND-yr8bg 7 років тому

      cesverc dude the entire show is fictional and not real, drogon has been with us since season one and just because he's cgi doesn't discredit him as an actual character, dany and Jon are the main characters for a reason, were supposed to root for them. Drogon has been with us the whole series, has saved dany multiple times and is going to play a huge role against the white walkers. In real life no one would root for drogon because no one wants people burned alive, but this isn't real life, it's a fictional world we're dragons exist and are on the good guys side Of course people are gonna root for them over the Lannisters. You Lannister fans seriously need to stop taking this shit so seriously, it feels like you people can't seperate fiction from reality and it's troubling. Let people enjoy themselves ok, stop being such an ass and expecting everyone to agree with you.

    • @cesverc
      @cesverc 7 років тому

      I take is as seriously as you do. The fact that this is fiction didn't stop thousands of people from yelling at their screen. Also no, Drogon is NOT an actual character. It's a beast. And Jaime and Cersei are protagonists exaclty like John and Dany, if you read the books you'd know. The only actual antagonists in the show were Ramsay and the White Walkers. And I don't need to be a Lannister fan to root for Bronn over Drogon. That's a man fighting a dragon, a David against Golia. I have no doubts who I should be rooting for.

    I think it dawned on Tyrion that he has betrayed his brother that saved his life and is a traitor to his ancestors, helping to destroy his house with foreign savages that have committed far more barbaric acts than the Lannisters ever have, imagine what they would do in Westeros to innocent people if Dany died.

    • @Leo_ofRedKeep
      @Leo_ofRedKeep 7 років тому

      Tyrion's presence at the battle was written in to show how he started to turn.
      Daenerys was always meant to be perceived as a danger, as one more of those things the story intends to criticise, as another extreme to avoid.
      We saw him try to moderate prejudiced, partisan, violent Daenerys, now my guess is that you will see him increasingly failing to do so. This is how the show will make her evolve from a fool's solution to an explicit problem even for those who joined her.

    • @skane6560
      @skane6560  7 років тому +4

      Tyrion may have betrayed his brother in a sense but, his father and sister have treated him like garbage his whole life and he fled because they were trying to kill him. Do you really expect him to have sympathy for his sister? seriously? Also, Cersei used wild fire to kill off hundreds of people just out of being power-hungry, meanwhile Dany locked up two of her dragons because she didn't want them hurting innocent people. That's just one example but, I think we can see who the more stable person is. Jamie killed the mad king because he wanted to use wild fire but, it's totally cool for his sister to use it? Why, because she's good in bed? Give me a fucking break. Fuck the Lannisters, except for Tyrion.

      Tyrion is helping bring war to his own country. Whatever he feels about members of his family, these are innocent people who are being slaughtered in the field out there.

    • @Luna-lv9zr
      @Luna-lv9zr 7 років тому +1

      Not sure "innocent" is appropriate considering the name of this episode is 'Spoils of War'. I know the Lannister soldiers are just following orders, but they just finished killing off House Tyrell (RIP Olenna) and hence, were transporting a sh**load of goods they looted from Highgarden. More specifically, they've annihilated an entire house (courtesy of Cersei) in order to pay their credit card debt (Iron bank) and ensure funding remains to further Cerseis claim to a worthless throne (thanks to the White walkers).
      Very few characters are innocent in this show - which is why this show is so damn entertaining.
