@@thc2stoned619 Classic Ryzens, they are getting so cheap now I am having a lot of fun playing with the older 1000 and 2000 series. Picked up a boxed 2600x with cooler for just £20 recently, it's great.
i've had both cards, if you dont care about R/T its the same thing really with very minor fps differences and to be honest most people have a 144-165hrtz monitors which is perfecrt for both cards.
Wish I could've afforded one of these instead of the RX 6600 I bought a couple of weeks ago. Alas, the cheapest RX 7600 I could find was like $360 Canadian (£210) compared to the $250 (£145) for the RX 6600 (new in box at a local retailer), so I had to go with the latter. Oh, well, it should still hold me a few years (especially if I get a new CPU next - the Ryzen 5 3600 is showing its age). :)
The RX 6600 is still a great choice tbh, probably one of the best price to performance units on the market. Same at the RX 6700XT. The 6000 series from AMD, once their prices normalised have been amazing.
This is a good card for the price, it makes sense to go with this over the 6650 XT for the same price however I was sad to see that the 7700 XT is much more expensive than the 6700XT / 6750 XT so at the £300 mark you only have the 7600 XT which performs way worse than the 6750 XT.
@@TechLabUK Yeah, I would have liked a new 7000 series card but my budget was £300 and that only left 7600 or 7600 XT and with the 6750 XT costing the same but performing better I just went for that instead.
yeah its great.. imagine if the performance more than 4060 and power consumption same as RX 6600, perfect. But I prefer 4060 because similar performance with 7600 but less power consumption than 7600 even if higher price I pay 1 time and good to go for years, for 7600 I need to consider electricity bills every month.
This is not worth upgrading over the RX 6600, although it is going for much cheaper than what I paid the RX 6600 2 years ago (which was a disgusting $550, cause prices here are HIKED). It's going for $400.
@@TechLabUK Yeah, from those it is super worth, especially since the price is right atm. What is the 7600XT going for over there? It has 16gb of Vram so if it's not too much of an increase in price it can also be worth looking into just for the extra 8gb of VRAM.
@@ridleyroid9060 It's different everywhere but a quick Amazon search I can see the RX 7600 for between £220 and £230 and the RX 7600XT for between £290 and £300. Could be worth it tbh

Hello there,I'm trying to build a new pc. Thinking to pair with either Ryzen 5600/5600G. For Gpu, im confused between Rx 6650xt & 7600 of sapphire pulse brand. (I need the Igpu of 5600G as backup,if the card fails,it will be hard to afford another. But, I'm still not quite yet sure which cpu should i pair with) I'm not a hardcore gamer. I just want to use mostly for "web surfing and streaming videos." Casually, I want to play games like GTA V, Need for Speed & FIFA sometimes. Also, I have heard about Forza, i never played that one before. But,i might want to try it if I buy the card. What do you think, which should i get for my purpose? I hope it will be energy sufficient for my use.
With the CPU you just need to be aware that the 5600 supports PCIe Gen 4 whereas the 5600G doesn't. The better choice if pairing with a GPU is the 5600. With the GPU either of those you listed will work fine and are pretty much the same in terms of performance so which ever you can get the better deal on tbh.
@TechLabUK Thank you for the prompt reply. Yes..I'm aware of that Ryzen 5600 will support pcie Gen 4. But,do i lose any significant performance in terms of "web browsing & streaming content" if i choose the 5600G? I know it'll be limited to PCIe Gen 3.
Zar7000 is alot of money im from south africa and this card is expensive even a used rx 6600 cost almost. 4 to zar5000 in all honest Pc gaming is a rich mans hobby
The RX6650xt is less price less power consumption and overall a better card in this range. It gets overlooked and those that say the extra year driver support for the 7600 are speaking out of their bottom hole. In this price point either the rx6650*xt or rx7600 would be very playable in 1080p in 6 years when it would be replaced regardless. The 7600 does have better media, again at the entry level this is not a budget gamer concern that will still be on an old benq 60mhz monitor. I use the 7900gre in a work rig and the rx6750xt to game on in my game rig and can say I had hoped better for the 70 series than it has given, especially with the price hikes (and drops.) Our youngest has an rx6700xt now but used the rx6650xt for 9 months and it was awesome in all your budget gamer fare like fortnite/ minecraft/ roblox/ cod/gta5 and cyberpunk2077 keeping in mind this was 1080p high settings. If you are deadset on wasting money to waste it, just keep in mind if your monitor is ancient and cpu below the ryzen 5 3600 then you wont be thinking about the lack luster media upgrade the 7600 has considering it is at £250 and the rx6650xt is £200 if you are int he UK. If you find them at close cost then the rx7600 is the better choice long term if you are working with no budget in the future for an upgrade. I did find the rx7600 at £210 with a free copy of RE4 but we had already upgraded his gpu tot he rx6700xt by the time the deal landed and that would have been a solid buy for anyone. We are months away from the new gen cards dropping and the 7600 and 6650xt will dip in price big time.
@@vicente3k The 7600 is a drisgrace costing over £200. If anyone is paying £260+ they should save an extra £40 and get the RX6700XT /RX 6750XT with 12vram and are superior. This is AMD making better budget gamer gpus and punching themself in the face.
@@drummer7557 Exactly thank you, at least you know what you're talking about it. Honestly the only time I would get RX7600 or RTX4060 is when the price is maybe $120 or less, never buy new. If your worried about vram in the long run get the XT version of this card. Its very likely your concerns will be validated in the coming months/years as games use more vram. I'd rather play it safe and get the 16gb XT model.
There is the rx 7600 xt with 16gb vram
@@malvinchau2056 If I have to go elsewhere to find information I am looking for (power consumption while running certain games or other work), that's one less reason to check this video/channel. Just saying. I am not sure what you mean about can't fully utilizing more VRAM. Why?
@@kevincampbell989 I am not worried about the long run, there are games which today have VRAM issues even at 1080p. Even when the pure performance is there, the limited VRAM (8GB and lower) hurts performance in that way.
going to upgrade my gpu with this card, do you think it will suite my 1440p monitor with the rx 7600? I only play valorant and dota 2, and watch movies.
Should be fine with those I would suspect.
This is a great card. i have auto undervolted, auto overclocked the vram and i get maxed out 2937mhz clock and 2328mhz vram clock, and its as stable as anything :)
Thanks for the review, it made me buy this card and i am very very happy :)
I really like it, it's poo poo'd on by a lot of people but you don't get much of a choice at this price range anymore so it's lucky IMO that the choice you do have is great (IMO)

Any idea how this compares with an RTX4060?
Not yet but literally just loaded up an RTX 4060 into the benching rig today so will do soon.
i've had both cards, if you dont care about R/T its the same thing really with very minor fps differences and to be honest most people have a 144-165hrtz monitors which is perfecrt for both cards.
4060 is A BEAST as well, if you can get one at 300 or less, its worth it.

I have been using an xfx qick 308 rx 7600 for about 7 months I'm still surprised by it sometimes
I got the Xfx 3 fan model and it boosts up to 3ghz and maintains that clock speed I get 12100 on 3d mark time spy
Could you please please do the same video for xt version ? I am planning on buying rx 7600 xt and i want to see the performance. Great video btw.
Unfortunately I don't have one at the moment but as soon as I do I will :D
thanks.
This is a good card for the price, it makes sense to go with this over the 6650 XT for the same price however I was sad to see that the 7700 XT is much more expensive than the 6700XT / 6750 XT so at the £300 mark you only have the 7600 XT which performs way worse than the 6750 XT.
oof I hadn't even looked at the 7700XT's but doesn't sound good.
@@TechLabUK Yeah, I would have liked a new 7000 series card but my budget was £300 and that only left 7600 or 7600 XT and with the 6750 XT costing the same but performing better I just went for that instead.
@@iitzfizz wait really? i was about to buy the new 7600xt
Hi good people :)
Any advice what brand of RX 7600 to buy, ASUS or AsRock ?
Gona use for regular 1080p gaming.
Either of them are fine tbh. They will pretty much perform exactly the same so go with what goes with your system.
@@TechLabUK Thank you 😊
Would this card be suitable for vr gaming or would that require something beefier do you think?
Should VR fine tbh. I have played many games in VR with a 5700xt and this is just as fast if not faster.
I bought this last March and I reaaaally love it!
It's a great card, still have this one around and want to give it a test again soon.
yeah its great.. imagine if the performance more than 4060 and power consumption same as RX 6600, perfect.
But I prefer 4060 because similar performance with 7600 but less power consumption than 7600 even if higher price I pay 1 time and good to go for years, for 7600 I need to consider electricity bills every month.
It is a decent graphics card but it will age worse than RTX 4060, so I would choose 4060, it is only about 40 € more
How does it compare to the 8700G?
You mean the built in graphics on the 8700G? This card would walk all over it.
The 8700G would be on par with the rx 6500xt if it had GDDR6 memory, choked as it is the 8700G barely matches the RX 6400.
The card gets a bit of hate but I never thought it was a particularly bad card for 1080 or even a bit of 1440 gaming
This is not worth upgrading over the RX 6600, although it is going for much cheaper than what I paid the RX 6600 2 years ago (which was a disgusting $550, cause prices here are HIKED). It's going for $400.
Oh yeah, not worth it from a 6600. These are only really good for those still sitting on an RX 480 or RX 580 really.

But, I'm still not quite yet sure which cpu should i pair with)
I'm not a hardcore gamer.
I just want to use mostly for "web surfing and streaming videos."
Casually, I want to play games like GTA V, Need for Speed & FIFA sometimes.
@@zaidtanim4163 I wouldn't think so for that type of stuff tbh.

You can get 6600's from around 3k on marketplace alongside many 1070/ 1080/ 1660's
6650xt is 220$ rn while 7600 still at 269... If only the 7600 was 230$ it would be no brainer.
@@vicente3k The 7600 is a drisgrace costing over £200. If anyone is paying £260+ they should save an extra £40 and get the RX6700XT /RX 6750XT with 12vram and are superior. This is AMD making better budget gamer gpus and punching themself in the face.
Im getting the Sapphire Pulse XT version of this card. 😁.
on hogrards legacy i hit more than 120fps on ultra on 1440p ultrawide
RX 7600 could be the new RX580 if it had 12gb Vram
Runs 2k pretty well.
But that 8GB of VRAM with a bus width of 128 bit is not great for the money. It wont hold up to newer graphically demanding game titles in the future.
Same goes for the 4060, you're better off getting the 6700 10gb of 6700XT 12gb cards. Much more future proof, and just better overall.
@@drummer7557 Exactly thank you, at least you know what you're talking about it. Honestly the only time I would get RX7600 or RTX4060 is when the price is maybe $120 or less, never buy new. Paying $400 at most is robbery. 16GB versions of these cards will help futureproofing for sure, but that 128 bit bus width really is a downer, especially with the lackluster performance these cards do for the price. And speaking of that my brother has in RX6700 and it's really good but my brother wants a 7800XT used or 7900XTX used. Or he might wait for the next RX8000 series GPUs.
It would have been underrated if it came out at 220$.
It compares much more to the RX 6650XT ... it's a significant bump up from the 6600

🤷♂ One thing I have learnt is that it doesn't matter what you look at or say the shills and fanboys will come screaming. You get used to ignoring them, they can see the data and listen or not, that is up to them. I have been called a shill on many occasions, once for testing an Intel GPU on an AMD system. Once for having some Intel Arc boxes in the background of videos while ignoring the larger number of Radeon and Geforce boxes around them. People just see what they want to really.
