Hi guys! Like watching your videos. Since you're in Mindanao already, I highly recommend you go visit Bukidnon. It's one of those underrated and under explored places in the Philippines. If you like majestic views with less of the tourist hassles, I really highly suggest you go.
@@nocheckinbags neat. Go check the place out first on the net coz it's not your typical tourist trap since there are no beaches but the views are spectacular and breathtaking.
You guys keep thinking that simply because the houses don't look good in your eyes, the people living there are poor. Prejudice at its finest. Most houses like those are left to caretakers who in turn make their own home and living better from the salary given to them by the owners who probably migrated somewhere, The old house is just maintained to be just livable. What is most important is the lot itself. Hence, caretakers.
Better to be. materially poor in the Philippines but. happy In. spirit. than in Canada or US whose people . think money or material possession is the be all and end all of human existence.

It's interesting to see your reactions to some of the living conditions because it was the same blend of emotions i went thru the first tine seeing it. Some will call it being prejudice, but in reality it's just something we have never experienced first hand, so our conceptions may be skewed. I can say now after having been to PH many times that riches come in many forms, and everyone is fortunate in their own ways. Keep up the good work! Cheers 🇨🇦
Siargao island has nine municipalities only , General luna, Socorro,Burgos, Del Carmen, Dapa,San benito, San isidro, Pilar, and Santa Monica and composed 48 islands and islets.
You may see province people live in "shacks" but there are times that these shacks are actually temp houses for when they need to stay in a certain for extended times for say harvest, construction, business but these people tend to have proper houses somewhere else. What I'm trying to say is what you see is not always the case. There are of course people who live in these kind of shelter (some don't even have one) but most of these people, even with money, wiuld opt to live in tge most simple houses when in the province. I don't know why but therr is a certain charm to it.
I have been to the Philippines. The most scenic part of the country is northern Luzon island from Bicol to Aurora to the mountains and coastal towns up north.. it's where massive coconut plantation and big mountains are located.
I know why the Philippines is so beautiful. The constant rains, floods, typhoons, volcano eruptions and earthquakes, always renewing the lands. It's almost like rebooting your computer. Clean all the viruses and making it runs stables.
I love the nature of Siargao and I hope it will remain the same for generations because the nature is its beauty. no infrastructure whatsoever since it will destroy the island or any islands in the Philippines.

The local man on that mountain, in the last part of your "conversation," said "uli." Uli, in the Bisaya language, means "going home." So he was just saying they were going home.
If a Filipino does not respond to you, either he/she is shy but likely he/she feels insecure speaking English. Cools Island and views, I laughed when you say 60 pesos is ok price for a coconut, my friend in Seychelles you will not get one connut below 400 pesos as a tourist. Unless you climb in the trees and get it by yourselves.
