My mom died in May this year and she loved this movie and Eric Stoltz so very much. She used to work at a tearoom in White Bear Lake, MN and one day Eric Stoltz came in and he asked if they had bottled water.. but she had to tell him they didn’t have any. He thanked her anyways and left. A couple minutes later, a woman walks in looking for her brother. It was Eric’s sister. My mom said, “You HAVE to make him come back!” His sister laughed and she left and came back with him a minute later, and they talked for a little bit and my mom got to tell him how much of a fan she is. She always told me how surreal it felt meeting him in real life, how much taller he was than she was expecting, and how beautifully blue his eyes are. It’ll be so bittersweet watching this movie without her now.
I'm sorry your mum passed. I'm thrilled she got to meet Eric Stolz. This is my favourite 80s film. I'd be beside myself if I met him or Mary Stuart Masterson.
when I saw this movie back in the 1980's I so longed for a kiss like they had didn't get mine till 1993 & we're still married 27 years later the song was right that first kiss really does last forever!
Just watched this for the second time this week. Definitely my favorite movie from the 80's. Definitely in my top ten all time. Awesome movie. Now I want to watch it again.
Michael K 24 Thrones we’re on the same page. I’ve been obsessed with this movie since the first day I saw it. And this particular scene is my fave. Second place is the ending! “You look good wearing my future.” Watts and Keith are the greatest teen love story ever told. I always wanted to be Watts. Ha! I still do!
Who made the rule that I should always play the fool All the nights I suffered when I need not have bothered You should have said "Oh but we ate instead" I thought you couldn't care less Your heart I couldn't impress But she loves me She loves me Oh and she loves me all the time Lovers we'll be But never ones to suffer lovers' drudgery Easy to understand But not prosaic misconceived or underhand The minutes that we missed The idle lips that should've kissed Are now gently together The first kiss lasts forever She loves me She loves me Oh and she loves me all the time The meals that went untasted The scenes that I created The days that seemed to drag on forever All the sleep I wasted When I should've been dreaming Of all that we could do together Together She loves me She loves me Oh and she loves me all the time The minutes that we missed The idle lips that should've kissed Are now gently together The first kiss lasts forever She loves me She loves me Oh and she loves me All the time She loves me She loves me Oh and she loves me All the time
Thanks for the lyrics... Anyone that can throw the word drudgery into a song has talent ! What a great movie... What great music... What a great time in life !
I was 17 when this classic came out. Mad crush on mary🤪 its a movie you don't need to fast forward the boring bits. Because there are none. And the soundtrack is timeless. 😍😎
One of my favorites movies, I loved it and hence, the music. John Hughes was the best that could happened to the film world in the 80's, he was in charge of selecting even the music because it is part of the story, he was that amazing, God grant him peace. He understood the teenagers and one can learn a lot about his movies. Most of teens movies this days are based on his work or they are honouring him ar they are mention in the new stories.
I remember back in the the day when a few TV network stations use to do a marathon of these high school movies on their channels. There is a few but not that many. And now you're lucky if you see anything good on television today, today cable network and other TV networks stinks. I will say at least in the '80s and 90s we had a lot of good stuff on compared today
This reminds me of when it was so important to go on dates to movies and then try to score. Most of the time, I failed lol. We gave so much importance to women, whom I care nothing for today. Things change, thank god

Long live the 80's!
“The minutes that we missed
The idle lips that should’ve kissed” this makes my heart swoon, so forlorn. What a writer!
YES
I wish they still made movies like this! They just do not make movies like this any more... 80s vibes x

Who made the rule that I should always play the fool
All the nights I suffered when I need not have bothered
You should have said "Oh but we ate instead"
I thought you couldn't care less
Your heart I couldn't impress
But she loves me
She loves me
Oh and she loves me all the time
Lovers we'll be
But never ones to suffer lovers' drudgery
Easy to understand
But not prosaic misconceived or underhand
The minutes that we missed
The idle lips that should've kissed
Are now gently together
The first kiss lasts forever
She loves me
She loves me
Oh and she loves me all the time
The meals that went untasted
The scenes that I created
The days that seemed to drag on forever
All the sleep I wasted
When I should've been dreaming
Of all that we could do together
Together
She loves me
She loves me
Oh and she loves me all the time
The minutes that we missed
The idle lips that should've kissed
Are now gently together
The first kiss lasts forever
She loves me
She loves me
Oh and she loves me
All the time
She loves me
She loves me
Oh and she loves me
All the time

Really beautiful song - Captures the real feeling of that moment. Ah, to be 16 again - Or was it 17?

That's a song where Keith and Watts kiss 😘
How could Keith not go for this... You all know what I mean... The 80s rule!
Eric Stoltz was such a piece of work.

Release the Eric Stoltz Back to The Future footage…there’s more than just the clips!!!
This scene proves that the amount of bodies you collect in life, the more you’re unable to bond with someone.

The movie is my favorite 80's english romance movies and when this track hit while they kissed I just melted
