My mother was rushed to the hospital during her 4th year in college. (around 1980's i think?) and it was due to a caffeine overdose. She had numbing headache, stomachache, constant vomiting, and eventually fainted in her dorm.
Now, she constantly urges me to quit caffeine or at least only drink once a day. She never fails to remind me to never drink coffee beyond 2pm as well. I take her advice seriously because repeating her mistake for caffeine overdose would probably break her heart.
(But sorry mom, whenever I skip at least 3 days without coffee, I already get withdrawal headaches. I really wanna have some good sleep someday, to get my health back to normal) 😢
It hurts like a bastard but I'm telling you that suffering through the withdrawal is totally worth it man, you'll never go back to it and you'll find you never really needed it after you've experienced those debilitating conniptions for days

Ill try to quite coffee and replace it with tea instead. Im cutting down on my sugar intake so tea would be great. I hope I can maintain this for at least a month. 😅
Coming from someone who quit caffeine but still drinks some every now and then the withdrawals really arent that serious. Youll get a piercing headache for at most 2 days and fatigue for maybe 4 and after that its over

Here in Lithuania energy drinks are illegal till you're 18. It's the best fucking thing. Thx to the law I pretty much never got addicted to it...

I worked 11 hour night shifts 5 days of the week and i lived an hour away ;;; i remember taking too much caffeine that on my last day before break I coulnt sleep at all. The feeling was so scary that i completely stopped taking those pills. I never want to experience that again ;---;

To put it in perspective a tablespoon of caffeine is 14,786mg and it's stated you shouldn't consume more than 400mg of caffeine in a 24 hour period or it could cause heart issues.

The LD50 for caffeine means it takes about 11g of pure caffeine to kill someone thats 150lbs. Thats a lot of coffee, but not a lot of caffeine weight wise.

To me caffeine doesn’t do shit mentally, and I don’t feel anything physically and I think it’s because my metabolism is absolutely flash and I absorb shit either too quickly or I don’t absorb some shit at all, so I just don’t feel anything, as well as I don’t feel any addiction to it, I’m from Italy and we got a real culture for the morning coffee and shit, and usually I just don’t drink it unless I’m making breakfast with friends or colleagues. I drink coke from time to time, I don’t really like Redbull or monster that much after one I feel done for like weeks. Too sugary and tastes chemical.
I think all drugs (that don't straight up kill you) should be legal. Government just needs to regulate appropriately and make sure people are educated on potential risks of a substance.
