the Roblox game Northwind is a lot like this as well, it could very well qualify as a civilization (it would also have religion because there are a number of churches in NW, that are dedicated to a wide variety of religions)

I used to play tradelands a lot. It is still the most complex game I’ve ever played. I tried to get back into it a month or so ago and I just can’t. It is too much. I almost was to the point of getting the Neptune? ironclad but I died out before I got there in terms of money.
Turns out, if you build a steamship or a ironclad, you will transition into the steam era. Well, Tradelands kind of reminds me of the Pirates of the Caribbean movie, but in roblox!

for religion, it depends on place and person for Hallengards at Fort Verner, their religion matches the viking religion, Old Norse religion. for Pirates, they don't, they are people who don't believe in a entity that rules in total control of the world for Novans, Nassauans, and Whitecrestians, i think maybe christianity, but none of these places have churches so maybe the same as pirates.

ironclads are just tanks
like a sheild with chonke amounts of firepower but needs to be accompanied with another ship to be more reasonable
thats why we have small amounts of people to be operating on an ironclad
You need 5 players to operate the Neptune, one of them will be the captain, and the remaining for of em are cannoneers/gunners.
