I have started some of my pepper seeds now and have some germinated already indoors. I've got a purple Jalapeno taken and Bell, Ramiro & Jalapeno hybrids. Also got an Orange Bell to a Yellow Ramiro F1 seed germinated and some others. I have my latest video on what varieties I am growing this year.
Hi James, glad to hear your peppers are beginning to germinate. I don't think I've ever seen a purple Jalapeno! I'll have to find your latest video and take a look. Good luck this gardening season!
Hi Jessica, your bag of soil may have gotten really, really dry or "hydrophobic". I would try putting the soil it in a bucket and slowly pouring warm water over, it a little at a time, until it moistens up. You may have to use a trowel and work turn it over a few times. And It may take a little while, I'm thinking 20-30 minutes. Just don't add too much water. You don't want to make mud! Good luck!!
where did you get yr seeds and grow lights? Can't wait to see how they grow
I want to start some tomatoes. Dont think i want hot peppers. Great informative video
You have to grow what you love! I’m starting tomatoes next week. What variety are you going to grow?

How was dollar tree potting soil ? Success?
It was a success. It takes a little extra effort. Clearly it is not premium soil but it works. My transplants grew just fine.
My dollar store potting soil seed starting potting soil will not absorb water at all what do I do
