What an amazing interview. I’m really happy that my teenage Grandson has not entered the “gear phase”. He is still a Strat and amp guy. My wallet is grateful.
at least get him an 808. he will love you forever!
Get that young man some pedals...collecting them can make him a phenomenal guitarist...plenty under $100.
dude is sitting in a room filled with gear though 😅
@@bluesdriver1142 I am 58 and have been playing over 40 years also. At least when we started there wasnt that much to choose from. I gigged thru the eighties with a Kramer, full stack of Laneys and the infamous orange stomp box. Lol.
I saw a video from Creedence’s Albert Hall concert eo 60’s/early 70’s. John Fogerty played a Rickenbacker connected to the amp directly with a spiral wire. Sound doesn’t get any better than that.
Pushing 55 years of playing, I've never had a guitar get trashed. I've been lucky. That had to be a mind blower.
Saw Jeff play with Reba and Brooks and Dunn-both times I walked away going “man, that tone at these country shows.” Later discovered it was the same guy! Very inspiring!
Love these interviews with the Nashville artists. Nicely done Robert!
really great series!
Robert, I do believe you're hitting your stride now, we're going to have to lump you in with Beato and Pierce pretty soon. Of course everybody loves to get their equipment geek on, but your interviews are killing! These guys like Bukovac are such a cool hang and everybody's so nice and it's obvious they enjoy having you around! It must be awesome to hang out in Glaser's shop and stuff, guys like that are living legends. Keep it up bro, looking forward to more of the same. Peace.
I remember Jeff when he played around my area, while he was attending ETSU. Such a great guy and player!
I am so glad you love guitar enough not to let it pigeonholed you to just rock ! It's good to see some of the great musicians from country and other genre's of music ! Love this episode !
Great interview great guy my friend played along side with him on those Reba and B&D / RD shows
Bro, I so love these episodes. It is so interesting to get the stories behind the legendary guitarists and their rigs. Well done!!
Fantastic video Robert! I love the way you allow the conversation to flow organically…that’s where the magic happens! Thanks so much mate!
I converted my Squier Classic Vibe 50’s guitar from 2015 with a Warmoth 24.75” scale conversion neck. I love it. 10”-16” radius.
Can't wait for the next episode.
My brother was friends with Jeff for years before my brother died. He always said Jeff was the nicest guy in the world.
Keep the interviews coming 👍.
What an awesome interview!!! Thank your Jeff and Robert!!
Great video, really like Jeff's sharing the experiences.
Killer series, sir.
Appreciate you doing this for the guitar community. Looking forward to more.
Great stuff as always,.. Robert...Loved this one lots.✌️
❤love this series a lot Robert Baker..
Seems like such a nice guy.
I really enjoyed this interview!! Thanks Robert!!
Mr Baker your on to something good with guitarstories, dude. Me Likey! Enjoyed this Mr. King interview very much. Gear guys will eat this up! Tanks! Some neato folks / players /characters in dat Nash-veel area! Run with that.
Thanks man more on the way
Thank you for this!! Super interview that ill re-watch more than a few times.
I saw him with the plum Anderson when Reba came thru Little Rock in 22. Hot hand!
Great interview and a great series. Thanks Robert!
Amazing tone and a lovely bloke.
I love these videos! Thanks for sharing this Robert!
Awesome series, Robert. Keep it up!
Fantastic video!
Great interview! :)
Holy mother of tone.
Great video! Thx.
For what its worth i absolutely love these videos.
Awesome! I’m an experienced guitar player, and an intermediate luthier. Player’s input is invaluable. I have 9 guitars to finish, and 2 basses. A professional player’s input matters.
What a fascinating story and guitar. Great to listen to Maybe one day you can do one with Joe Glaser and I’d love to see what George Gruhn’s one to keep is. Thanks, Robert.
What a great interview. He has a lot of cool stories and is an incredible guitarist.
Thanks for doing episode 2, Robert. So many Nashville cats to choose from. I'm really looking forward to who you pick next?
These videos remind me of a thing Dave Stewart from Eurythmics did about the old delta blues guys, documenting history of cool players, guys names you may have seen on a record sleeve or a CD liner but you never get to see who they are or know anything about them. Really cool 👍
Great stuff Robert… having the gear right there, hearing him riffing… nice!
The player sounds awesome .
That was great.
holy crap, that tone....
He has several guitars, but this is his baby, fantastic! 👏
Please do an episode with Richard Bennett, Robert
Man thank you for documenting these players. This series is amazing. You should check out the Night Dog Danny Green here in Memphis. He’s a legend.
Great stuff
That 64 strat sounds incredible.
Yes! the neck on it is great as well
A friend of mine had a 50th anniversary strat. It was in its case. He walked out to his van. Set the case down. Walked to the mailbox, and hoped in the van only to run over his guitar case...I got it 90% back to normal for him.
You should do a video on my 78 LP pro, trogly showed it in a video, was in a flood, cool as hell. But I’ve had it for a few months and play it in my living room so not many cool stories yet lol
Great one Rob. Thanx!!
Way cool!
Yay! I’m in
Mahalo great video.
An awesome video series. Is Jack White considered a Nashville guitarist? How about the Grand Ole Opry house band guitarists?
I forgot about this series. It’s been a minute.
Lovin this series! Was Mr. King playing through an amp during this interview or through studio monitors? His tone is soooo good.
Hey Bill! I have a cabinet bunker-room in my basement… can’t hear it in my studio… 😊
See Fenders snap-off too!!!!
Are you healthy Robert?
Another interesting interview. Do you know what specific Model of Wilkinson Tremolo Bridge Jeff uses? Thanks
Hey Picksalot! I feel like it’s a pretty early one. Seems like I got that right when they first came out. But I can’t remember exactly.
Sweet
Great interview Robert, what a legend!
That looks like a Squier Tele.
7:32 "worst case scenario" he just told you it was a gigbag, not a case
Love stories ❤😢😂
Holy crap Jeff. I never knew that happened!
That's a freaking nightmare! Forrest
Forrest Lee?
😂😂❤
Audio on Jeff’s vocal was a little muffled
All the Nashville Cats play tele's
Anybody who sits around with a Firebird in his lap is all right.
rob rob robert rob robby rob
That boy aint right
i bet he looks at whatever is next to that guitar when he leaves it onstage now.
He said he doesn’t take it out anymore.
JJ Jimmy Walker? Dynamite!
I miss Rob riffing on his LP in his home studio.
Don’t you worry that is all coming back. :)
