The last few minutes of this hit hard. My husband was a financial advisor for a large firm and he had a lot of similar philosophies as Tiffany. My husband also passed away last year. when she broke down I felt it hard. She is so right about spending money on memories. I’m planning a big trip (expensive) with my sons because we’ve gone through a lot with the loss of their dad. It will be so worth every penny bc we will remember it forever. Our family was so focused on saving and paying off debt that we didn’t make those amazing family memories when he was alive. I don’t want to leave this earth without my kids having those memories.

I'm deeply sorry for your loss. My husband passed away this past Thanksgiving and I also felt the pain the last 10 minutes. Wealth is having the fortune to love and be loved. One of the greatest gifts.

My husband is also an FA and he works so hard and he just don’t want to do much until he has certain money put up and I explain to him we need experiences with our kids, so they know we love them not what we have. We are in need of nothing, we’re not in debt. Let’s live life while saving for the future. God Bless you and your children 🙏🏽❤️

At one point in my life, when things were all bleak, I had .11 cents in my account after all expenses had been covered. I sobbed at feeling like such a failure. Then I realized, it could be much worse; all my bills had been paid. There was food in the house. We had a place to call home. From that day on, my goal was to have $5 at the end of the month then 10. Things are much better now!

Yes! I started doing that recently, and it makes such a difference. I also started investing more strategically, like spreading out my risk. Have you guys heard of the ‘diversification’ rule? It’s really helped me keep my portfolio balanced

So much knowledge and love in that room that I feel like I've just been hugged and educated. I just want to hug Tiffany every time I hear how much of an impact her husband left with her and how much she's impacting everyone around her. We need more like her in our everyday life and I'm going to start being that for those around me. I love all y'all...no questions asked!!! Xoxo 😘

I started my business February 2022, went from 32k salary to $72k income and $52k profit in a year. This 2023 last month (May) I paid all my personal debt 🙏🏽$12in debt. I’m debt free ❤️. This month I’m starting saving for my goal (has a house and don’t pay in rent. I prefer paying in a mortgage. It has been hard, not trips, not restaurants, no new clothes, no party. That will come later. I am super focus in my client, learning about my business and making money to pay my debts. If I could do it , everyone can. It’s not excuses. We put our own limitations. I hope after taxes next year I can start the process to buy a house, if not I have other plans to invest my money 💵 .

There’s a reason why investment strategies aren’t widely taught in schools. The examples you mentioned are well-aligned; the market downturn actually led to my first million. While some shy away from challenging times, I see them as opportunities-thanks to my advisor’s guidance, of course!

I'm glad you found this information helpful! As a newcomer, I know how challenging it can be to stay informed and make sense of it all. Am I a pro investor? Not at all. I rely on tools like Monitor Edge to track my portfolio, which generated an impressive $473k in profits over the past two quarters. This experience has shown me why seasoned traders achieve substantial returns in what seems like a complex market. It's the boldest decision I’ve made recently.

I am one of those women who lost the love of my life at age 61, and also lost about everything financially when he passed. We were not prepared for a major event and were just hanging on, paycheck to paycheck. We were so happy together and thought there would be time to get our finances together. Its been 5 years now and i am hanging in there, still have my house, working 2 jobs, worried about ever being able to retire. I love what I've learned in this video and just love Tiffany. Yes, I do my dishes at night as a gift to myself in the morning, I give myself a high five in the mirror when I remember. As a single mom of three, building a baking business from my small kitchen during covid, with three kids under 9 at home, now getting to be in a brick and mortar, money was always a topic I would put aside in my brain for ‘later’. And you’re right, no one is coming, I have to do it for myself and my kids! So slowly, I will be making that list tonight and facing the money music.

Wow! I am blown away and emotional in a good way... I woke up to this and got up even if it was 4:30AM. I started declutering my office while listening. Lol don't ask... just felt right. I have also gone through financial hardship supporting someone dear to me with mental health issues for 24 years of my life. I am finally out of it but wished I had know about this 7 years ago. Even if I got out of the financial whole I was in, I am not great with money. I make ok money for the middle class here in Canada sonI know I need to manage and budget better. You can bet on me re-watching this again and putting it to practice. You two took my anxiety related to money away. Wow! What a relief. Thank you and have an amazing healthy and happy day. Thank you for discussing the idea of ENOUGH! My partner also passed a couple years ago, my daughter had a TBI, two of my kids were severely abused - success for me is being able to care for my kids so that they feel loved and cared for. That’s having a clean warm place to live, eating and moving well and TIME TOGETHER.

I’m 4 months out from marrying a guy who is very financially savvy and has an MBA. I’m a solo mom of a college-aged kid with disabilities (my ex promised to send money to help with school and bought a house in the Philippines instead). I’m soooo ready to become financially stable and show up as an equal partner in this new marriage. This popped up at the right time!

What an amazing…and empowering…episode! I suspect that I’m not the only one, but I had to dry my eyes before I could hop on here to comment. 😉 Tiffany taught me more than I had anticipated, WHILE learning that I have a natural aptitude for living a well-budgeted life. Who knew?!? For about 20yrs, I’ve kept separate accounts...exactly as advised here. (I’m also a former teacher!)
Presently, I’m unemployed and jobhunting...and know that so many of us are in this financially stressful position. This episode reminded me to BREATHE through it all. #om

I loved the phrase “shame shields solutions!”. I was so ashamed to share my financial situation for a long time, really. Especially when I moved from Ukraine 4 years ago, had to learn anew everything I knew, deal with credit score and all of it. Once after paying my bills I had $10 dollars left for another 4-5 days before I was paid😅 tough lesson it was. A year ago I started educating myself in finances, learning the tools to save, behave differently with money than my parents did. It is a journey and I am so grateful that I could hear the two of you speaking about it all. Makes me feel not alone and creates a difference!

Mel, your story resonates so much. When you stated that you believe many people have an unwell relationship with money and live in credit card debt- I felt seen. And when you asked Tiffany what her overarching message was to us, and her reply was,” It is possible, because you are still here.” I cried because I believe she is able to guide us to a healthier space. I don't know why I decided to put on this episode, it had been on my pending list. I am so glad I did. Mel I've listen to some time, in my head, she is one of my home girls but first time listening to Tiffany Aliche. I am going through so much she is talking about and I am so glad these two talk about how shameful and scary debt can be when you are in it. It most definitely clouds you but lately I am finally clearing those skies and just going, going, going. I feel watching this video was another "keep going". Adore these ladies, the message and educating people on money and their relationship with it. Most of all, I love that Mel always ends all her messages with "I love you".

      Plan, plan, plan your meals.
      - Check what you already have in your pantry.
      - Make a grocery list. Do Not go in the store without a plan.
      - Focus on a Weekly Meal plan. Sometimes Monthly meal planning gets overwhelming.
      - Plan breakfast, lunch, and dinner (plus 1-2 snacks for the week if you like)
      - Check ingredients for meals. Sometimes you can buy one thing that can be used throughout the week (ex. 3lb of ground beef vs going back and forth to the grocery store buying 1lb of ground beef multiple times a week.)
      Hope this helps!! 🫶🏾
