Building wealth requires disciplined habits, such as consistently setting aside funds for reliable investments. Effective financial management is a critical topic that many avoid, often to their detriment down the line. Earning money is one thing-preserving and growing it is another.

There’s a reason why investment strategies aren’t widely taught in schools. The examples you mentioned are well-aligned; the market downturn actually led to my first million. While some shy away from challenging times, I see them as opportunities-thanks to my advisor’s guidance, of course!

I'm glad you found this information helpful! As a newcomer, I know how challenging it can be to stay informed and make sense of it all. Am I a pro investor? Not at all. I rely on tools like Monitor Edge to track my portfolio, which generated an impressive $473k in profits over the past two quarters. This experience has shown me why seasoned traders achieve substantial returns in what seems like a complex market. It's the boldest decision I’ve made recently.

I can tell you that psychology of money is so real. When I was little our neighbor put in a beautiful pool and frequent outdoor parties that we did not attend, so I asked my mom if we could put a pool in. She told me the only reason they put that pool in was because her dad died and the life insurance paid for it. Not sure whether that was the truth or not, but ever since my subconscious told me that to have a rich life, unfortunate events needed to happen. Later, as an adult when my own father died the inherentance was used for a down payment. Subconsciously I felt so undeserving of that house that circumstances caused me to foreclose within 5 years. My whole life has been one financial struggle after another. I am grateful for this podcast episode.

Mel, I think it would be helpful if you include a picture of the person you're interviewing in your thumbnail. For one, it visually differentiates each video a bit more. Secondly, on the off-chance that someone doesn't follow you but they follow your guest, you've got a new listener/subscriber when your video pops up in their feed. It would also help to put their name in the title. All this to say, I really appreciate & enJOY your podcast!

When I was a child, I remember going to the beach and most of people in the restaurants were Americans. Me and my family didn’t have money, so while I was eating my watermelon y visualized myself going to those restaurants. Few years ago I went back and I invited my best friend to eat at a nice restaurant closed to the beach. I told him, you can order whatever you want ( it’s my treat). I ended up drank and singing with the musicians. My friend said “ the money they you spent on a dinner, that’s the money I make in a whole week of work. I felt great being able to invite my friend:)).

Good morning Mel…you once said on one of your podcasts that you read every comment, so I wanted to share this helpful concept as you continually strive to reach the vast in this world…
I believe you, and you bringing variety to help people in many areas of their life. And many times I would love to share your content, but what I have found personally is your choice of words can be offensive to some, and because you’re audience brings all kinds , it would be so helpful if you stayed neutral with some of your language. I am a believer in Christ and I can’t forward this information to other believers because they would be hugely offended by your “F” word often.
Your reaction may be it’s just language, Debbie… But I believe that words are powerful, and they have double meaning and we have to realize that our goal is to help everyone not just people who will not be offended by your language. I speak from the heart, and from a nonjudgmental Place but from one entrepreneur to another the saying, is you get more with honey than you do vinegar. From the bottom of my heart, I urge you to take that word out of your vocabulary when you’re talking to the world and you will touch more lives. ❤️🙏

    • @kimberlyhenninger6346

I agree. I love both of their podcasts, but I don't always like the language. I can't play it in the car when kids are in. And some may say, "kids have already heard all that before!" And they are probably right, and that proves my point. They are ex[posed to seedy and bad language a lot, why don't we give them some examples that show some of us still believe in the power of words. Satan can't read our minds, but he can certainly hear our words. I don't wanna give him anything!

My grandmother and grandfather raised me. My memory of 💰 Money, my 2 sisters and I split $150 A month to buy clothing for our selves. My grandmother told us, we couldn’t get anything extra because she didn’t have it. She stressed Poverty. She told me I had to Work when I was 14. Therefore, my teen years were a complete nightmare. So I’m working at 14, up until today, I’m changing the way I THINK about Money. I do not believe in the system that I was unfortunately brought up in. I felt robbed. For this negative mindset as a child, this carried on in my 20s and 30s. I am well aware it’s due to the fact that I grew up in a poverty mindset house hold. This will Stop TODAY.

Great video. We are all seeking for financial independence and a better way of life. This is not difficult to achieve with savvy investing, a frugal lifestyle, and cautious budgeting. I'm glad I learned early on to work hard for financial independence. As Warren Buffet said, he has seen this happen many times in his life. Not an investor, My husband and i never earned more than a middle class salary. We plan to get retired at 58 with a stock portfolio worth $1.7M. We have never sold so much as one share of stock

Most people don't understand the power of compound interest or are just impatient. However, I think it's better for the average person to invest in the S&P 500 and wait, which is reliable, albeit extremely long: many years, or just hire an investment advisor and accelerate wealth accumulation. Most people underestimate the power of the latter.

That's right, I've been backed by a financial advisor for almost three years now, I started with over a hundred thousand and I'm just $19,000 away from making half a million profits from compounding and dividends.

There are a lot of independent advisors you might look into. But i work with "LISA ELLEN SHAW" and I have been working together for nearly four years, and she is excellent. You could proceed with her if she satisfies your discretion. I endorse her.

My big goal is to help my daughter walk again and use her left arm again. The rehab program for TBI that is near us costs $30,000 a month. Because she has had the injury since she was 15months old and is almost 13 years old now, 5 years of this program would be really valuable. That’s $1,800,000.

It’s nice to relate someone from the same background. Knowing I’m not alone because some money situations etc I went through it also brought a lot of competition and racism involved all because of people pleasing. I needed this so I can shift my mindset. Our lessons and hard times truly do ring us to the best parts in life. 💕

Hey Mel my name is Jon I’m a lot like you the same thing happened to me. Last year I fell in love with a woman that taught me this psychology. It didn’t work out and when she left I lost my security. I’ve spent 10months working everyday from when I woke up until I went to sleep to start a business because I knew I needed a business to be around other people like me. After all the hard work and months of fighting I have created something. I’m going to see someone today to see if they will help me.
I’m a big fan Mel and if anyone hasn’t told you lately your a total babe. 😜
Always great to hear your content,
    Keep it up.
    Best regards,
    -Jon

Hi Mel, I would like to say that at 68 years young, a female in semi rural Australia, co-own a cottage with my now I’ll husband, and on a pension, I feel rich. The thing I have spent a lot of money on is premium bibles because I love the word of God and I also love to gift them occasionally when I know someone has never had one before. But the big thing I want is to buy my own house and live alone just to have my own space. I have wanted this most of my life! Also, having a bit of money put away that I never touch means I know there’s a back up, and it may only be a thousand dollars, not a massive amount. Basically, I do not worry about money at all. It will always be coming in and I keep utilities down so I can buy the best meat because I have done keto carnivore for 7 years and my health and vitality is everything, and a simple life without mod cons everyone thinks they need is not for me. I have not had a washing machine in 23 years and don’t want one! Making choices where your money goes means it is thee for what you love!

I am somewhat like you. I live in a rural area, on a farm. I used to read the Bible a lot, but I guess I am losing hope of life getting any easier. So I don't read it anymore. Things are so hard. I am alone, and it is very cold here and going to get much colder soon. I am sorry your husband is ill. Be careful wishing for your own space and living alone. It is not that great. It was nice to hear someone say "I am listening". Almost didn't feel so alone and scared for a minute. But it's ok. I am used to it. God Bless.

@@emilylewis7642 Emily, I do understand what you say. We have both been through a difficult and possibly traumatic time. I do hope that the bible will bring you comfort as it does for me. Psalms especially help a lot. Would you like a nice bible, as you spoke of before? Btw, I have a Christian channel on UA-cam if you wish to get to know me a little. I shall see if I am able to help you. Please feel free to talk. God’s blessings, Jae.

Hey Mel! Great interview! Can you tell your story of how you turned your life around financially and how you got out of your financial hole later in life. I wish that you could have Remit back with advice for people that are close to retirement and started saving late in life.. Thanks!
