Hi Willie, sorry we now use a new channel. Any base construction in a sensitive area such as this will require much manual work and attention to detail. You should build the base by hand, as well as tamper the surface by hand, paying particular attention to ensuring the base is dense and hard. As it will not be an area of any foot traffic, it does not necessarily have to be 60mm deep.
Hi 360, sorry, we haven't used this channel for a long time. If you have a hard surface, eg. tiles, concrete; anything that is less porous than the crushed rock in this video, you can use Synthetic turf glue. Check out this guide we made here ua-cam.com/video/DA_Azp5lMYc/v-deo.html
Alternatively, if you require to relocate the turf over time or if you are renting and cannot apply a permanent glue to the surface, you can use an outdoor double-sided tape. We created a guide here ua-cam.com/video/TON2NQV8AWk/v-deo.html
Hi, we haven't used this channel for a long time. We do not use weedmat as it is not necessary. Weedmat is actually more porous than our turf therefore it is more weed retardant. Should the base construction be to the specifications in this video, a yearly weedkiller treatment is sufficient to keep anythings that grows at bay.
Will tackle this project this weekend (20X25 area). Thank you for sharing your “secrets”.
Good job sir..
Good guide, thanks.
