I will say, if you are in a solo project, this technique is excellent for producing some insanely clean stuff. I have used lots of these techniques myself using Ableton as well. However, I always highly encourage players and aspiring musicians to Practice and strive to perform the whole song in 1 take. Striving for excellence is something we need a lot more of, although this method is very handy if you are on a time crunch
100% agree with you and it all comes down to the project and the sound you’re going for as well. Which is why I was saying I wouldn’t typically go that tight with things and “lets say we couldn’t re record guitars” But I definitely agree with you that we need to put more time in practicing as opposed to just playing and punching in note by note. BTW, you would practice the song in one take for two reasons. One is to improve some separate parts of your technique and other is to train your skill of performing your song and speed and efficiency of learning songs.
Absolutely. When I do playthroughs I play the song all the way through and accurately. There are times where I’ve made a part in realistic so I’ll change it when I’m practicing for a playthrough, because I’ve gone too far haha.

@@BrendonKPadjasek Initially was going for a T7, then convinced myself to get a T8i, then saw the R50, and finally settling on the R10. I wish it was a full frame but it's versatility with shooting stills + it's video capabilities seem perfect at the price point. The RF line of lens' leads a lot to be desired in terms of variety, but I'll grow into the camera.
